I did NOT want want to even give this mental health facility even one star! I noticed it has a 2 star rating and I wish I had checked the reviews before going here! I went here for help as a new patient after moving… here from another state needing a doctor to prescribe my medication. But if you don't want to be possibly cut off of your medication do NOT go here for help! I've been off my medicine for over a month now and it took me this long this long to even type this review! The public needs to know about the treatment they could receive going here! Dr Moenga cut me off my medication even though it worked & without a good enough reason regardless of it putting me in a serious & a dangerous health situation! I did NOT need to be cut off of my medication! A real doctor would wean a patient off a controlled substance very slowly due to health risk! I was on my medication for 11 years and it worked really well for my anxiety! I'm going through severe withdrawal symptoms without my medicine. I'm having panic attacks and anxiety! I'm on disability & was diagnosed for chronic anxiety in 2015! The patient advocate couldn't even help my case because the doctor refused to put me back on my prescription regardless of my health risk! I can't even function like a normal person now! I can't leave the house without panicking and I can't sleep! I constantly worry about everything & feel sick physically and mentally! I don't feel good enough to get up to do my everyday household duties or even go to the grocery store! So if you're on a medication that works for you please find a different facility to help you & prescribe your medicine!
Amazing people here. The things they do change lives:) and that huge right.
This has to be the worst service in all of Odessa. My husband sat in there for over 4 hours, even through lunch without leaving. He was referred there by his primary doctor to get tested for Adult ADHD. They finally… called him back just to tell him that, as of the week prior, they no longer test for Adult ADHD. No one else could tell him? The recptionist? No one?! He waited over 4 hours! This place is infuriating. This isn't our first experience with PermiaCare, but this is by far the WORST we have ever experienced.
I've been receiving care for my son for a year now, and it's been the best service. They're always attentive, and the assistant Luna is very professional and helpful. She comes to my house and always answers my messages.
I have a mental disorder that makes it nearly impossible for me to get out of the house because it throws me into a panick attack, the dr kept insisting I go get out and do something as if what I was telling him wasn’t… serious, well I took his advice and ended up going a few towns down with my daughter and it took me 7 days to get back because I couldn’t bring myself to leave the motel 🤦♀️ I went broke taking the dr’s advice. And now I want to go back for meds but getting out of my house and sitting in an office for nearly all day just to get reevaluated to see the Dr puts more stress on me and it feels like torture
These people seem to not know what they are doing . My girlfriend has been trying to get some help . They gave her 4 weeks of medication for her mental problems , and then scheduled her next appointment in 5 weeks !… Forcing her to go without medication for a week . And then acted like it was her fault she didn’t have any medication like she just wasn’t taking it !as a mater of fact she had been taking it and doing quite well , till she ran out of it!!! Now she’s off her meds and decided she’s better off without them . Heaven help us all because permiacare is sadly incapable of helping . Please all pray for my friend !
I can’t believe this place is considered a resource for people seeking help. This place turned away people needing help because of computer issues and suggested they go to the Midland office, only to have the Midland… office turn people away. The Midland office will turn you away if you live in Odessa and tell you to go to the Odessa office. Complete run around. This is such a disgrace and the unprofessionalism of the receptionists is beyond belief. PermiaCare should not be recommended or sought out for help!
Permiacare is horrible. They keep having cops called to my house and all I need is to be seen. This place has gone down hill quickly. Don't push people aside. They can do better.
Good place but needs some improvements in different areas
I have 2 friends that go here and get NO help
Good enough to get what I need to get done, especially if you can’t afford doctors like thousands of other folks in Odessa. I know that the lack of social aid and state funding for stuff like this causes the sucky parts… like very long wait times and compounds little mistakes a lot, which sucks. Still would much rather have it as it is than nothing at all. I will note that many of the social workers there are very sweet and deserve way more than 11 freaking dollars an hour. Overall I say it’s decent with a few notable sucky parts, still better to receive mental health care and job support services than nothing at all.
Find somewhere else to go. Do not go here. They never call you back, they don’t even give you enough meds to last until your next appointment. The doctor Peter doesn’t listen to what you have to say and skips over a lot… of symptoms. If you can afford it, please go somewhere else.
Very rude every time I come in for mom's appointment . I don't know how this little girl has not gotten fired yet
They don't listen have ptsd bi polar add and other stuff and they give me something for sleep. Whoever recomened me to them I hope you get worse advice than what you gave me.
Rude and unprofessional staff
I attended this facility for several years bevause of Strobel, she changed everything for me and for once I felt amazing in life. However, I stopped attending because nobody LISTENS to anything you have to say. They… respond "ya, I'll just refill your prescription" or "okay I'll just prescribe you something else" if you say something isn't working. I started visiting here because I was receiving FREE help that I desperately needed but as the visits went on, they started hounding me about payments.
I'm seriously the only one here. The only one. I've been here 2 hours and have not seen anyone yet.
The youth counselors thier are amazing ,my children and I seeked counseling and they have gone to my kids schools etc.. I am very grateful
I saw the Dr a wk ago and he change my medication but that medication is doing me wrong so l went last wk to try and c him so he would change the medication back to the one l was taking b4 was told l had to come next wk… ok no problem went back Monday close to 8am the front desk told me if l didn't have an appointment l was a stand in waited for an hour and a half ask her a question all she would repeat was if u don't have an appointment ur a stand in it could b 30minutes or all day so here l am without medication till my appointment in July that's why l went there for help there's got to b a way to make an appointment to c the Dr
This place is a joke call the crisis line and the lady transfers me and then the next lady asks me is this a crisis situation that I need to transfer you to the crisis line? Like really people I called the crisis line!… Worst place ever!
They never answer or help
I appreciate what you have done for my mother. She has committed on the front desk being a little short, but at times she can also be difficult. Please keep what you are doing for the public. Mental illness is a true… struggle, not just for the patient but also for the family.
I normally don’t give reviews, and actually hate doing it, BUT! I honestly hate that I have to give this place even one star, because after today they deserve ZERO. I have never been so angry with any “professional”… staff before. 2 different patients, TERRIBLE! Maybe the actual dr was fine, but the front counter people were completely unprofessional. 1) I understand this patient didn’t have an appointment, but they just needed to fill out paperwork and were told to just come in for it. Took them *45* minutes to get to her, and they were the only ones there! 2) same thing. Paperwork only, told to just come in to get it signed. This patient ended up needing to call them to ask them if they could bring the paperwork down to them in the lobby due to the fact that they just recently fell pretty hard at home and was struggling to get upstairs for it. The receptionist wouldn’t even listen to her and simply just transferred her to a voicemail. This was done twice. She ended up forcing herself to go up anyways because they refused to listen to what she was trying to tell them. She was met with complete annoyance when she tried to sign in. I cannot believe they call themselves professional. Y’all need to go retrain yourselves on how to treat ALL patients. I don’t care if you’re having a bad day. Treat the patients with a bit more respect and humanely than what I witnessed. I even filled out one of those “how are we doing” surveys. The receptionist took my folded filled out survey, read it and then proceeded to THROW IT AWAY. Can I give y’all negative stars???? Unbelievable. SMDH
Total waste of my time. I tried to get my son screened for ADHD and when I called, was told a list of what to bring including his insurance. What I wish they would have told me was that they would turn him away since he… has private insurance and they referred me to resources that were also not helpful. Some of these resources do not even deal with children or take any insursnce expecting you to pay 750.00 out of pocket to get screened then leave the patient to send it off to the insurance to SEE if they will reimburse you. I signed my son out of school for them to waste my time. I used to work here and it was NOT this difficult to get a screening. What a shame.
Dr Stroble and her nurses are good people and I feel they are good at there jobs, however there seems to be a lot of miss communication problem. I don't know where they are, but information I get from my case worker is… often incomplete, precriptions don't get called in ect. I understand that this facility is government funded for the most part, however, when the doctor is trying to find the right meds for you, waiting 3 me in be between appointments is really stretching it. At that rate it doubles the time it could take to get the right dose and precription for you.
