Pocono Mountain Recovery Center – Henryville Detox and Rehab Services
Pocono Mountain Recovery Center – Henryville carries a listing for detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.
Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Pocono Mountain Recovery Center – Henryville Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 3437 Route 715 in Henryville, Pennsylvania, 18332. The city lies within Monroe County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Remote appointments may be possible where travel is a barrier. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

I was here a few weeks ago and I had multiple problems with staff. They had favorites which was a whole other story the Tech Jaz watched my roommate sniff pills off the dresser and said you do your thing and walked out.… I should’ve left after that. But I was trying to stay and finish my recovery route but I stayed and I had multiple other issues with other staff members they had no clue how to do their jobs allowed fights to happen and people to threaten each other always fighting and arguing and they stood back and done nothing about any of it. There were a few girls that kept getting sexually harassed and they kept bringing it to their attention and nothing was done time and time again they told the director and they did nothing I was threatened after I brought it to 1 of the techs attention what I witnessed with Jaz watching my roommate sniff pills & then I was made to leave after I told what I saw which I felt I was doing the right thing they just wanted to get me out of there as quick as they could. I am now at a better facility and couldn’t love it more ! I loved the Pocono location but that place is run like a mad house totally out of control and I would never send anyone I know there to get help.
Pmrc is a great place I just left there 2 weeks ago after doing 35 days. Of course you can pick out little things that don't meet your expectations, just like any other rehab. My experience wasn't bad at all honestly, the… staff from the techs, the nurses, counsolers and the cooks/chefs were very nice and did whatever they could to make your stay a memorable one .the food was great, the beds could be a bit more comfortable but other than that there's not much I can complain about. If your serious about getting clean and wanna be in a peaceful setting give them a call. They also have a php program.
I wanna give a huge shout of to josh he is amazing person and a very good councler keeps his word and does everything he can to help his client over all a good place
My husband went into the facility for long term care. Another client almost got into altercation with my husband that the staff didnt do anything to the other client. The facility kicked my husband out due to vowel… language but he was withdrawing from alochol. I was also not informed that they also send my husband to the hospital for a bump on his head but they also ignored his open wound on his arm. I understand that the policies for not tolerating bad behavior but they need to be understanding that if the patient is withdrawing of course the behavior will be unbalanced. I just wished that the facility contacted me to let me know what was going on with my husband and not finding out through him and my mother in law
Place has its good and bads just like any other rehab. I did there php and really got a lot out of it my counselor Josh was the best he always had time for me even if he didn't he made some no matter what.mra patty and… rich are techs and they are also the best so if you are going there just listen to what they have to say they know how this recovery stuff works and will give you some knowledge to take with you and if for some reason I would have to go back anywhere this would be the place I would definitely go to
If I can leave zero stars I would. This place looks nothing like it appears online, I was very disappointed with my short time at PRC from the time I got there I had a bad feeling about the place due to its creepy… looking old run down motel rooms but I chose to stay hoping my instincts were wrong unfortunately they were not. From the time I got into admissions the two staff members seemed like sales people trying their hardest to sell me to stay because I believe they saw how uncomfortable I was with just the outside of this facility. The admission staff told my mom that we would be able to FaceTime everyday with no issue, that is a lie once I was their they said you can only make a phone call when you are with your counselor only once a week. The rooms are very old falling apart and absolutely filthy! There is no central air in these old buildings so they have window units that look to be 5-10 years old so they had no cold air coming out when it was 90 degrees outside. There are no clocks or tvs in the rooms so you have no aspect of time so when you are going through detox and very tired you sometimes will miss med pass if you are not up in time. I have been to other rehab facilities before and have never run into this issue. Some of the staff were very unprofessional but that’s what happens when you hire people in there early 20s with no life experience. I really tried giving this place a chance but by day 4 I was crying everyday due to me being mistreated not knowing what time it was made it frustrating for me to have any kind of routine so I went to my counselor and asked if I can leave and she advised me that if I wanted to leave I would be put out on the side of the road with my belongings and can call my family member to pick me up but there’s no cell service she told me due to this place being in the middle of nowhere. So that scared me because I live in NJ I’m 2 hours away from home but I finally by day 7 got the courage to just ask for my stuff and I sat out by the side of the road in 100 degree weather and waited 2 hours for my mom to come get me. This was the scariest and dehumanizing experience I’ve had to live through. It’s also very unsafe that they put people out on the road if they choose to leave thank god my angles were with me and got home safe. Please think twice before choosing this recovery center it’s just a huge money grab.
I went to PMRC for their PHP program. I had a great experience there. I was surrounded by like-minded individuals focused on their recovery and incredible staff. My counselor Josh Punchak was amazing. I could not have… asked for better. Thanks to all the hard work put in, I’m coming up on 6 months of sobriety. I highly recommend this program.
Stay away from this place. The staff is very unhonest. They stole $300 out of my wallet when I left, never got it back. Turned my bill into collections. It is a very unsanitized place and very dirty
Nursing and staff are wonderful food is great. The building itself is falling apart. The fire sprinklers aren't hooked up. Maintenance department really doesn't know what there doing unless they're putting something… together out of box. There's a down spout that runs up hill they keep the heat on in the summer. But nursing is wonderful!
Amazing program . I was in the pocono mountain recovery homes for about 6 and a half months . Good groups and helpful counselors . I greatly appreciate Brittney coleman . She's an amazing counselor . Also amazing… counselors id like to thank like Sandra , Steve , josh, Monica , and scott . Courtney also will help you however possible and works so hard . Ms Patty who supervises the homes is also an amazing person . Also the techs are great people especially rich . All of these great people will help you however they can if your willing to do the work. I appreciate the experience from the bottom of my heart. If you read this and are looking to go there and get your life in order then lose your ego and take the next step to a better life .
Dope rehabilitation center first one out of 6 I actually completed staff, cook crew, maintenance, nursing, counselors definitely get my recommendation for a great rehabilitation center to attend if your struggling!!! Thank… yall
I want to thank all the staff. Great place. My counselor Katie was great and gave me good advice she was very understanding about my problems and i felt very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this facility.… Thanks for the support
The place is wild. I met some good people though. Katie is a wonderful counselor and I'm going to miss her. Staff never got out of pocket with me. Which really helped me get through all of it. They will help you with… whatever you need. Food is good and the 24 hour kitchen is what I liked. Make the best of what you make of it.
I enjoyed my stay at PMRC and I would recommend anyone that’s wanting a new way of life to reach out and start a new way of life. Good food, great location, friendly and welcoming staff. They also offer a PHP program… that I enjoyed, I still have friends that I made there. I’m now a Crs and working in recovery, and I’m not sure that I would be where I am today without this place!
This is where I met the love of my life and future baby momma. She is now 6 months pregnant and 4 1/2 months sober from fentanyl. I went in to kick my habits and it worked. I still drink alcohol at night but I wasn't an… alcoholic to begin with or either was she. I never heard back from counselor Jenn I'm assuming she isn't pregnant so that's cool.
A HUGE thank you to Irwin & Hasheem!! They did a great job location a package I sent my son (that I tracked)& was delivered previous day!! They located the package & were very polite & kind & patient with me.Needless to… say,my mind is at ease (its not cheap to send a package) and my son received his package!! I know how important it is for the courageous, strong inpatient people to receive a package of love!! Thanks again guys 👍👍🙏
It is not like the website you don’t have option to start where you want no outside meetings due to no transportation really upset that Huntington creek was so pleasant to go here after felt backwards smh if they help… me with my needs I’ll follow up with new review but as of now not happy
First, I want to say thank you to Steve and all the staff that saved my life not once but twice. I walked in a mangled mess, didn't want to live. They helped me detox, which i had never done before and it was an… experience i never want to go through again. The staff that was there when I was in March and right back a couple weeks later in April of 25, helped guide, rebuild, and brought me back to life. I had completed the 28 day program and went back home, very bad choice. I relapsed ( which Is part of recovery) with people, places and things. They got me right back in and thats when I made the choice to fully change everything about my life. I went to the php program there, I had to wait a bit but it was worth it. That's where I met the extraordinary people, Christine, Patty, Courtney, Monica, Biggie, and Rich. They helped me get my self worth back, my purpose, and becoming the best version of myself that I could possibly be. I dont know how they did it but everything in my life shifted in a good way. I would still be there if I could. Im very grateful for the community that I was with. I walked away with some friendships that I know are there to encourage and support me. I suggest coming here to anyone, if you want it enough and are ready and you're their for you, not other people bc it doesn't work and you would be taking a bed for someone that needs it. Our disease is life and death, ive seen it. Im almost 9 months sober and I thank pmrc, php for giving me my life back.
Excellent help caring staff
Besides for how close the men can be to the woman this was a nice place learnt a lot and met a lot of amazing people thanks for everything.
Well, you may have taken down my review from here but you can't remove it from Yelp!!! Lol Neg F
Safe, effective, life giving.
This place has helped me save my life. Everyone was pretty amazing. Keep up the great work.
I went to treatment here & was treated like my life was worthless. My good friend & I ended up at the same rehab. (Pocono Mountain) She had gotten there before me & I had come in a few days later. We had been using… together prior to her going to treatment. Fast forward, I had been there for about 7 days & my friend was getting ready to transfer to a different facility so they transported her home the night before to grab some extra things. She was supposed to come back to the treatment center until the following day when they were going to take her to the airport. Because she had been taken home, when she returned they had drug tested her. She had come up positive for fentanyl. Because her & I were friends & had used together in the past, they also tested me. I also came up positive for fentanyl. I had only been there 7 days. The day I came in I was no where near sober, so that was only 6 days without me putting drugs into my body. I had not touched anything since being in the rehab, I was just still positive from my prior use. They didn’t care. They refused to test my levels, they didn’t offer to take me to another treatment center, nothing. It was already after 11 pm that night & they decided to kick out two young females & drive them to two SEPARATE bus stations in the middle of nowhere where. The buses were not even running at this time. They didn’t even have the decency to drop us off together so we had each other, they purposely separated us in the middle of the night, stranded hours away from home. Now… I am almost 2 years sober today & I still think back to this night & it makes me so upset. I understand addicts lie, but I was telling the truth that night. I had NOT used or brought drugs into that facility. Even if they HAD to kick us out due to protocol, there were other ways to go about it then to leave two young women stranded, alone, in the middle of the night hours away from their homes. Any other rehab would have offered to transfer us to other facilities, but nope. Not Pocono Recovery Center. They treated us like our lives were worthless that night. I will never forget that.
It's been a few years since i stayed but time hasnt eraesed the good memories. The place is very nice with a large cobblestone court yard in the the middle. Theres some small water features as well. I will admit that… the rooms could use some updating. The folks there were very kind and respectful and the food was always good, its buffet style if I remember correctly. My counselor was great and the nursing staff was freindly. It's coed and they do the classes together but do not mess arounnd with the girls because they will boot you quickly.
There is a lot of great and caring staff from every department, but not all of them. I'm grateful for the good techs, nurses, and counselors. Before intake, I was told that my dietary restrictions would be accommodated.… This was false for the week I spent there. The plumbing didn't work and housekeeping refused to clean rooms at times. Plumbing and heating issues were brushed off when complaints were made and showering and bathroom facilities were mostly out of order. They decided the laundry detergent I bought and packed should be for communal use, but only one washing machine was working at a time anyways. I passed out from malnutrition and left in an ambulance and they didn't notify either of my emergency contacts. When I returned from my overnight hospital stay to check on my belongings, less than 24 hours later, a woman said that I had to leave and was not a member of the community. I was given my stuff and didn't get any kind of discharge paperwork. This place was paid $3,800 to not feed me and kick me out when my body gave up.
I was a client there. Today I was kicked out based on lies fabricated by Rich, 2nd shift tech. A client was carrying a lot of groceries, a client asked me for a pack of smokes, I had my headphones on and thought he… asked me to grab a bag of groceries, so I went inside the office, got my meds, and came out and grabbed a bag of groceries which I thought was his, brought it home, set it on the counter in the kitchen and went to bed. 30 minutes later Rich came in my room and asked if I took a bag, sleepily confused I said no. He returned 30 minutes later and said he saw me take a bag from the office porch on camera, he then asked if I had the groceries in my room, I replied no and they were welcome to search. They did not conduct a room search. I then stated I grabbed the bag for another housemate after he asked me to grab one, he went and got the other clients and the client stated he asked me for a pack. At that time I realized I had mistakenly grabbed another persons bag and went to the kitchen where I left it, followed by a tech named Tim. I handed it to him IN THE KITCHEN WHERE IT WAS LEFT, and apologized for the mistake. At that time I thought the incident was handled. Later that night rich wrote a report stating he found the items in my closet underneath a pile of clothes. This morning I was administratively discharged for theft based on Riches false report. These people are committing fraud on a daily basis. The food is terrible, houses are filthy and the groups are a joke. DO NOT GO THERE. IF YOU ARE AN ADDICT IN NEED IF HELP DO NOT GO THERE YOUR SOBRIETY WILL BE IN JEOPARDY. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT..THEY SET PEOPLE UP AND LIE IN REPORTS ALL THE TIME.
I have gone to this treatment facility at least 4 times. I stayed in Rockcrest for 4 months at one point too. I absolutely loved PMRC, the staff was amazing in every aspect. The cooks were great, the techs were… extremely nice and supportive, and the counselors there were invested in their patients. I seriously recommend going to PMRC. There's a reason I always went back when I needed help in my recovery. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today. I currently have 4 years clean and I wouldn't be here without the people at PMRC! Not to mention, the whole place let's you hang outside in the fresh air and enjoy the nature and animals around you. Extremely helpful for me compared to other places that basically keep you cooped up inside all day :)
