Only giving 5 stars so people know for themselves and their family If I could give this a experience a negative 200 I would the things that I experienced in a place where I was supposed to be healing were the exact… opposite. We were trapped for profit. I checked myself in for ANXIETY. We were all trapped after we got in. They would not let me go my doctor even insinuated a threat after I told him I wanted an ama to leave he laughed and said okay later the nurses told me he could hold me I was not suicidal homicidal nothing just anxiety they surely proved why I should be scared this place makes face but when u get in u don't see a doctor until 2 days and if ur their on a weekend ur screwed I was so scared I was going to be stuck there and I couldn't tell my family when I got out I started crying about the abuse they treat u like prisoners and not a person the nurses ignore u for hours and the doctors dismiss u forgive me for saying if u are mentally unwell u should be seen ASAP one guy went MAD and went off and all the Dr's nurses ect were hidding behind a plexiglass meanwhile all off us were in his path. The only people that were helpful were the techs if I could say who I would but she/he even told me that they keep people just to profit and she/he was disgusted by the way the way all of these people acted with no good conscious. They forgot they were human. This place is no good for someone you love and please tell your your loved ones to not take off ur clothes for them. And also their is no therapy nothing which is the reason I checked myself in to begin with I hope this place closes with all of its negligence. SAD SAD SAD IS ALL I CAND say

I met someone who went there and said it’s terrible. I read a lot of reviews and any that were bad had the EXACT same response, that alone shows they use the same canned response and shows a lack of concern.

Like pulling teeth to get anyone to pick up a phone or return a phone call to set up visitation.

I spent 5 days there. Never got my heart and blood pressure meds the whole time. Had blood work done, but never got any results. there was no therapist, no groups and no activities. Couldn't get clean scrubs until the… third day. We wear them 24/7 and sleep in them too. Some of the staff were nice, but most of the time some of them just ignored you. Each day we were asked to fill out a questionaire about how we were doing. I suspected no one even read them. One time I never filled one out and no one asked me about it.We patients call it the "holding place" instead of the Healing Place. There was not much healing going on

My son seems to be struggling for the past few months. And the interactions I've had with staff have not been good. I was told by staff when I visited him he was coherent. Not struggling and doing pretty good. Just… wasn't eating when I went to and my other son to visit him on a visitation. He was completely the opposite. He was so out of touch and so out of it was scary. It was as if he wasn't even inside of himself it's as if he wasn't in his body. Staff lied. Then I had a staff member nurse. Call me 4 days ago which I have on voicemail her voice and I was told it was extremely important that I called back. It was in regards to my son. I wasn't answering my son's phone calls because he was not in his right mind. The nurse when I called proceeded to browbeat me into answering a question about his birth father which I know nothing about and I don't even know who he is. Never met this dude and she kept insisting that I was keeping information from her that he was in the hospital and he was very sick. Well if he was in the hospital he isvery sick. I know nothing about it and you're taking this from a young man that's out of contact. I've tried to call to talk to a charge nurse or somebody to have this situation fixed over the past 4 days no communication from this company. I want to Have them call me and stop harassing me anymore but this complaint seems to be falling on deaf ears. You can't get a hold of anybody. I just want to say there are other ways to be a mom other ways than giving birth. And if I tell you I don't know who his birth father is. I don't know him nor have I ever met him and the nurse kept insisting I was keeping the information from my son who is out of contact. They need to knock it off. Contact me personally and let me know the situation has been handled

Well if you have a loved one in there and you try to get any information they won't tell you. When you are on the phone with them they will do anything to get you off, not 1oz of care in their voice, it almost seems as… you're the issue when you're trying to call and get an update on a loved one. These families don't know what's going on and are calling for any info they can get and to have people working in the office that just want to get their hours and don't give two cents about your situation or the patient situation is just heartbreaking and infuriating.

Linda LagalaSpano12 months ago

Absolutely abyssal care for their patients! Do not, do not bring your loved one here. After a 9 day day, the patient was only evaluated for 2 days. At no point was there a diagnosis, nor any variety of counseling. On… the patient’s final day, they had the patient call to say that within several hours they would need to be picked up. No exit plan, no checking with family that they would be safe. No communication whatsoever. This is negligent and borderline malpractice. The lesson here is that staff need to be retrained, they need to be patient centric and to work with families during and throughout the process. Shameful and disgusting regard for the whole person. You’ll certainly want to choose wisely in this regard. And the choice is…do not bring anyone in need here. The Healing Place, does NOT live up to its name.

Absolute worst service I have ever seen. After being placed on hold and transferred 5 times I still never got the information I was requesting. This place is just another money grab, a total waste of time.

This office has saved my life not once but twice. The front desk staff have always been courteous, the case managers have been invested in my care and my provider Nathan has restored my hope in mental health… practitioners. Nathan actually spends time listening and not judging. They offer a safe space and I’m so grateful for everyone who works here.

Some of the most disgusting behavior from the caretakers towards the patients. Not just towards myself but they treated every vulnerable and hurt person in there with distain and disgust.

Please, if you are on trouble and need help…..I mean bad help, the end of the rope…..nobody at polara will make the process easy, or offer all the help. They leave you to figure it out and force compliance on rules for… rides that just don’t help the extremely mentally ill. If you are sick, you’d better get out of Arizona period. Only go to polara if you’re basically pretty well

Can’t even get a simple question answered over the phone! I get transferred to the wrong department and it only get a voicemail and when I call back, I got hung up on. All I needed to know was what type of insurance… they take

This place is a failure of a place. There are no doors on the restrooms. A shower curtain with nothing to protect your privacy held in by velcro. It isn't uncommon for people to walk within eyesight of someone in the… nude. (Or watch them shower) this facility put me on meds I didn't agree with, i know wouldn't help and cause more medical issues for me. That i can't afford that i must detox off of. They did not set me up with anything walking out. They have their own internal pharmacy. They do not release patients with scripts. This means that if the individual is not able to afford there medication. They will be on the path of withdrawal and detox. This place does not offer groups. It has a schedule it does not follow, that claims this. The food is probably not food safe. Everyone when I was there got sick. Me included. It was deflected with a stomach bug. (None of the food is even heated before given to you) the clients there are not treated well. They are set up for failure and returning due to the negligence and failure of the internal system that is in this place. This place has some caring staff. I will say that some care. Some are not really walking with the most integrity. Now, here's another massive issue that must change. The medication given has no refills. It's un likely that anyone going in already has an established doctor for medication. Which means, without refill. Money to get the first script, anyone leaving is in jeopardy of what brought them in. If anything, since no medications are being fully established before clients leave, the adjustment period is setting people up for failure. Want my brutally honest opinion? This place claims care for criss but sets people up for nightmares in mental health. And parents should NOT have to fear for their kids well being, due to the failure of this system. This place needs serious work. It' needs definitely an inspection to make sure it's being done right. I'm so tired of these types of places failing people. Get it together. It can cost people their lifes.

I wish I could say good things as I am a huge advocate for mental health but this is not a place for people wanting help being sober. This is a psych ward, plain and simple. They don’t offer therapy, they expect the… individuals to sit within 4 white walls and offer little no stimulation to keep their minds busy, the staff is less than helpful and make you feel like you’re a burden when trying to check on your family. I would recommend literally any other means to help your family members.

I recently finished the 30 day addiction treatment program at Polara Health (formerly Hillside) and want to express my profound gratitude for all BHT's, counselors, and therapists currently employed there! I was… originally of the opinion that I didn't need such "treatment" and was quite cynical about being forced there by a brush w the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. Was I ever wrong. The classes were both intellectually stimulating for a pseudo-intellectual as myself yet made simple to understand by any and all present. They helped me to get back in touch with my True values and the spiritual path I had fallen from during the time of active addiction. Being able to recognize my triggers and stay in the present moment, a process known as mindfulness is greatly helpful. (Megan's class). Also taught us Zumba (and for me how to dance)! The most noticable and powerful thing about Hillside was the love felt by the staff. Firm but kind and I more than once saw tears in their eyes. I feel I have a new family and wonderful support group, (so much that I've already been back to visit 3 times in the 4 days since graduating)! Making a pest of myself to Nadine who continues to show me nothing else but support and love. I highly recommend this treatment center for anyone who wants a firm foundation, a springboard from which to launch into the recovery community and all that it has to offer. As a wise man told me there, " Those who want it will find a way, those who don't will find an excuse." Love ya'll!!

The facility, Andrea and Kimber, the front desk and all have been so good to my family in helping our loved one through a scary mental health crisis. Before being discharged we had a very productive discharge team… meeting. While the circumstances of our meeting were difficult, I felt like my loved one was treated with great care. I’m thankful they provide such valuable service to the community.
