Positive Impact Health Centers Inc – Duluth Reviews

Zee and Matthew took care of me and they were AMAZING! so sweet & kind I love their energy and hospitality, this center is so professional & very discreet about protecting ur info i love this place 10/10
Dr. Joy and Nurse Jacob is a pleasure!!! Makes my experience so comforting!
I've been calling this office for hours trying to speak with someone, and unfortunately, this is not the first time. Every time I need assistance, it's a struggle to get anyone on the phone. What's even more frustrating… is that when someone does "answer," it's just an automated system that places you on hold indefinitely. After waiting for long periods of time, no one ever picks up the call. It's incredibly disappointing and unacceptable, especially when patients may be calling with urgent medical questions, prescription issues, or appointment concerns. There needs to be a better process in place for handling patient calls. Whether that's hiring additional staff, implementing a reliable callback system, or improving phone coverage, something has to change. Patients should not have to spend hours repeatedly calling a medical office only to be placed on hold without ever speaking to a person. Communication is a fundamental part of quality patient care, and I sincerely hope this office takes steps to improve its accessibility. No patient should have to go through this just to get in touch with their healthcare provider.
Faith was the high light of my experience from calling yesterday and asking when’s the nearest day I can come in and she said tomorrow (today, Wednesday) and was able to help me get scheduled and answered all my… questions, and thankfully got to meet her and chat / work with her. Then the male nurse whose name I forgot was nice too, then got to speak/ work with Shay. And being able to speak spanish with the Hispanic lady who took my blood. I’m able to speak openly and honest here without judgement and are very sensitive/ welcoming here. I try to recommend all of my LGBTQ+ friends here
PHENOMENAL- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️10/10 Great care for anybody truly in need of low cost options for healthcare.
Amazing! If you are a bit worried about going in and talking about your intimate information, you are in very capable and good hands. The staff here is so wonderful. It felt private and secured. I want to especially… note that Faith and Joy were incredible -- they were very knowledgeable, warm, and kind. You can get free testing every 12 months, free condoms, and relatively quick results (for me, STD test results within 4 business days & HIV results within a minute). The front staff, phlebotomist, pharmacy staff were also very nice! Positive Impact does important and compassionate work. Thank you!
Free testing every 12 months with fantastic and sweet as can be staff?! What more can you ask for? A walk-in experience from heaven, seriously. Quick testing, all procedures done with people who are exceptionally nice… and do a great job. I highly recommend this facility!
Called to receive help. Spoke with counselor Bryan Goslin..there was a bad connection on the phone..he called back at 12 , he was so rude , for some reason the connection was bad..instead of maybe removing his headset… he proceed to say I been on the phone with clients all day etc etc..again Im in crisis and need help all. He then say let me get someone else to help you..as if I was a burden or the problem again in in crisis. Not sure what kind of day this young was having but clearly he didn't want to help or assist me..this person needs a write up, fired etc..maybe it was my voice..im sure he could tell I was black and I could Def tell that English isn't his first language..I fellt very discriminated against..the phone connect was bad but we could have found another solution
I want to say that this is an excellent place where I receive top-quality care, especially from Dr. Maria and the lab doctor. They are excellent professionals and make me feel right at home. I highly recommend them.
Terrible experience. Every single person was extremely dismissive and non-helpful. After finding my designated area I was not greeted nor checked in by staff, Rather I waited and told them after 10 mins that I had an… appointment in which I was told they said “we’re in a meeting” and they turned around.
I usually have a good experience here. I've been here a few times for annual testing. The process is usually fast but depends on what time you come but still not bad. Everyone is kind and usually answers any questions… you have. I came at 1PM during the week and was in and out in 30-40 minutes so not bad at all. The annual testing is free once a year and after that low cost. Rapid HIV testing, free condoms & blood work done and results usually quick. Overall I'd say one of the best places to come for free testing. I've been to the one in Decatur too and they were good as well.
Amazing Staff and help
Fast and reliable easy to schedule and proficient
The rudeness of the staff here is INSULTING!
I don't compare them to anyone, they're the best. Dr. Aaron is very kind, Mrs. Maira is incredibly good, and Mrs. Angelica and Gladis are also very welcoming.
There is NO ONE who attempts the phone calls. Very disappointing!!!
It is the worst center that can exist for the treatment of diseases, especially because of its staff, the worst of all the people there. Maira Oquendo, without a second thought, is capable of turning away patients who… are being treated at PIHC. I repeat, I do not recommend any patient go there. The only people I can recommend are Margarita Quiñones and Dr. Samantha Hyde. I've been at this facility for the past 3 years, and their service is incredible. They're welcoming, informative, and provide excellent resources to access your essentials. Comparably, all of the Positive Impact… facilitations are highly recommended!
Faith was amazing! I felt very comfortable speaking with her, and she shared a lot of helpful information with me. She even supplied me with plenty of condoms and taught me how to use them properly, so I’ll know for… next time. She also gave me important advice about not letting myself get caught up in the heat of the moment, which is something I’ve struggled with in the past when with someone new. I want to wish her a safe delivery. She truly went above and beyond, and I’m very grateful for her guidance.
