They mix those who are in for addiction and those there for mental health all together. A lot of the groups they did didn’t apply. Endless worksheets. They stole my candy my brother had shipped to me that I was allowed… to have and ate it. The addiction counselor tried to use techniques that make it even worse for someone with chronic PTSD so that was a nightmare. Overall they make it seem like they are going to help you, and then lump you all together in the most unhelpful way possible. The therapy isn’t helpful as we started EMDR without going through our resources. You could hear stuff talking about patients and so forth. I don’t recommend this place and it’s good it’s shutting down.

Brenda had a very mean girl attitude and told me “no one will want a bpd housewife” she also told me that I “smelled bad” [I showered daily and wore deodorant] she also didn’t know how to treat me so she just gave up on… me and our sessions consisted of her sitting on her computer doing “more important work” as she said. Well guess what Brenda I’m sober and I’m a happy housewife

I was in great need of help for depression when I found 5 Palms in Ormond Beach, FL. I completed their 28-day program last month. During my voluntary stay, I gained knowledge of CBT and DBT and many skills for returning… myself to a mentally balanced state of mind. With these skills, I am now able to stop my depression and related anxiety from "taking over" my thoughts and I have longer, more frequent periods of clear productive thought which have significantly improved my life. I was also very impressed with the professionalism of all levels of the staff and I felt safe and well cared for at a very sensitive time.

Promises 5 Palms was absolutely amazing! The people the community fabulous! Let me say I was very nervous to go to rehab a facility whatever you want to call it. Once I was there the positive energy ran through. I felt… comfortable with all the staff as well as the other clients. They help you through anything that comes up. All you need to do is ask. I was so amazed with Promises! I would recommend to anyone that needs help with either mental health and or drug addiction recovery. Dom saved me more than once love him!Dom is AWESOME!! The nurse's were a huge help to me. Never talked or looked down on me, he was just a huge help! The food was great, the people were awesome. The people I have met there are wonderful I WILL have friendships 💓 forever. Promises ROCKS! WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. My therapist Charles was fantastic 😊. The sense of community fabulous. Micheal the Alumni Cordinater of 5 Palms is always willing to text and talk when you need him. What a great person he is!

This program is truly God sent! Having been through several programs it was 5 Palms Ormond that saved my life. The staff, the doctors, the therapists and even the food, our second to none. I was a severe alcoholic for… 40+ years and it was this program that changed my life permanently for the better. I had given up on life believing it was my destiny to die. A sick and miserable man. Upon my admission, I could sense this program was different than the rest. I felt a profound sense of God at this location. The care, the concern and the unconditional love that I felt from my therapists changed my life forever. I began to feel the darkness lift as hope settled into my life!. The staff here lives a lifestyle of giving back and I will never forget them! Even the grounds are beautiful as I spent countless hours, meditating and socializing there. The kitchen staff is dedicated to making delicious high-quality food. which helped me regain my strength. I found out today that 5palms will be closing its doors permanently. After many tears, I can’t help but think of how many lives this program saved. It was one of a kind the kind of place you don’t close under any circumstances ! I know it is not the will of the staff to close this location. This seems to be a corporate decision that has the Almighty dollar written all over it. Many people will lose their lives because of this horrendous decision. I want to take the Time to thank each and every staff member and doctor that gave so unselfishly. Driving by 5palms always felt like driving by a home that I lived in for years. Now it will simply be a hole In my heart!

Great therapy sessions and fantastic staff can’t say enough great things -except the staff or whatever peer counselor group leader brandy who is a professional gas lighter that insists you can think chronic debilitating… pain away and has no concept of HIPAA health privacy laws and will blast your personal struggles to the entire residency.

Wow. It’s so crazy how time flies by! I was actually the first client 5 palms had back in 2019 and this place changed my life in ways they don’t even know! I have 6 years clean now, a mom of two little ones, worked in… treatment for 5 in a half years and now working in supportive housing as a case manager. The program was the best I had ever received. I always think about this place and tell everyone I know how amazing it is! Brent was my case manager and he really did go above and beyond! Truly the best care from all staff!
