My debit card was fraudulently used here. I live across the nation. Raises red flags about this establishment.
August 1989, Physical Therapist Mark Lavendecker worked with me fight Paralysis on the right side of my body. I had head injury caused by a head on collision. Mark, at the 1st of my fight to walking again, worked with… me morning and afternoon as an in patirnt. Months went by. I became an outside patient with Physical Therapist Peggy Wilson. She did wonders working until I was on my on walking. Baptist Health Rehab is a miracle observing place for the last 37 years. I've seen others rehabilitated by the excellencey of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Pathology Therapies. The 3.9 star under values the staff hard work. 5 stars all the way
I had a friend in BRI twice. Every time I was there the staff were very attentive, and very friendly. I was impressed by the schedule of physical and occupational therapy on her schedule. This place is an outlier in the… for profit rehab business. They really do provide a great rehab. What did they do with all the mean staff??? Are they locked in the basement? Every one I met there was so pleasant and willing to go that extra mile to make the patient happy. I’m impressed
First off I would like to say that Dr. Davila and the therapists downstairs are wonderful and caring. They do their best to make sure the pts are able to do as much as possible before they go home. On the floor is much… different. Very little PT/OT/ST is continued on the floor by staff. They don’t assist with bathing or dental hygiene. My father went at least 4 days with no bath or brushing his teeth. There was a snow storm, I was unable to be there. Call lights are answered but nobody comes. Several times I came to the room with my father’s call light out of reach. Once pt is in the room they are left in their wheelchair or laying in bed for hours, no interaction with anyone. The splint for his hand he was to wear at night was never on him. I spoke with the nurse manager, the manager and the CNO and nothing changed. The majority of the staff just did not care, they are simply there for a paycheck. Absolutely one of the worst floors (3rd) I have ever seen. Outpatient is the way to go here, if your loved one has to stay on the floor stay with them 24/7, or they will not be cared for at all.
My dad had a stroke and was sent to Baptist for rehab. He barely had any speech therapy, which out of everything, he needed that the most. His OT and PT just “went through the motions” with him. They did the bare… minimum, which is disappointing. They also did not inform us until we were leaving that we could have negotiated with our insurance company to allow him additional time in rehab. We felt like they were rushing us out of there. The case manager spoke condescendingly to my mom on a couple of occasions. We are now in Sherwood at CHI St. Vincent’s rehab, and we are blown away- it’s fabulous! The therapists are experienced, kind, and caring. They are focused on helping my dad regain his independence. He is doing very well, and is set to go home this week. We were unimpressed by Baptist’ home health care as well, and we are excited to have St. Vincent’s home health care. My dad is already making so much progress! I think Baylor has quite a bit of room for improvement. Their shining star has definitely faded.
It Seemed like all I did was waste my time there.
I highly recommend BRI Outpatient therapy . I had the privilege of working with Stephanie, Lauren and Jacob. They are excellent therapists. I really appreciate their care, concern and encouragement through my… rehabilitation. I had a lot of questions and comments and was very comfortable expressing those and appreciated their responses. They just make you feel at home.
People here are nice, except this toxic employee, who parks in patient parking without any care for anyone. There was a review about her 6 months back and she still parks here. When will the administration/ authorities… take care of this issue? Pull her out, speak to her and monitor her. If she still doesn't change, dismiss her. Her entitlement is not bigger than the reputation of this organization.
They were so nice to evaluate me for a electric wheelchair all of the people were so kind I will be getting my electric wheelchair in 3 mths so my body can be save for Osteoarthritis I have it everywhere thank you Jesus… for your help too
I've been here two weeks and am leaving today the staff here are the most professional considerate and compassionate team anyone could ever hope for. They go above and beyond to get you ready to go home and make your… stay here as pleasant as possible. I can't say enough about thus place they saved my life!
Everyone was very helpful and friendly and I got to where I needed to be
They are not adequately staffed and have little training. They won't bathe you or wash your clothes without throwing a fit and then they lose your clothes. There seems to be an overabundance of compliance issues. Many… of the staff on the stroke floor are rude and unresponsive. If you are a cancer patient & there for something else your treatment is suspended. They fudge on their outcome reports to say you can do certain things you can't do so they can be released from liability and release you. They are not helpful in working with you to stay until you are ready for outpatient therapy. They will release you against your own doctor's medical advice. The social worker isn't helpful with any lists or how to navigate the choices. She prints out a Google search with names & #s cut off and it isn't even an accurate list as many of them were private pay services. The doctors there are MD or PA residents and are not qualified to treat most things. My family member who was a 2 person assist was left unattended while standing and suffered a bad fall. We had to call UAMS neuro to get the tests & treatment we needed. Their rehab has a lot of high tech glitz & glitter things, but they don't seem to work on the modalities needed for independent living. They all seem to be filling a square and checking a box so they won't have any liability and insurance will pay. There seems to be no regard for the patient's well being or their best outcome past their exit door. I wouldn't leave my loved one up there unattended, and never choose that facility unless it was the only place to get stroke therapy.
Never have I been taken care of in such a professional and loving way following my spinal surgery! Thank you all my team! The food was wonderful also! Thank you for brightening my mornings Dr. K. and staff!!
Stephanie is the best pelvic floor therapist around. You won't find anyone who is as nice and knowledgeable as she is.
WARNING TO ALL CANCER PATIENTS! My aunt was placed in baptist health rehab facility for cancer February 21 for the reason she lost all feelings in my lower half and couldn't go to the bathroom on my own accord from a… diagnosis of cancer as well as lictict bone lessens. Now I want to start by saying the nurses were amazing as well as the amazing therapist from pt and ot. From the moment she got there the took amazing care of me. And I am so thankful for that. However, what she went through with the doctors was abuse expecially my doctor. Doctor K. When She was placed in his care for therapy on the 21st of February and though my actual therapy didnt start until febuary 22nd that was the day it all began. She came to him unable to walk and had no control of her bladder so her doctors at uams from the cancer Institute placed her in a catheter and told her they didnt believe it should come out from fear of infections as well as with the chances of her unable to use the bathroom on her own. They also didn't thing he could train it since she was in his care for 2 weeks they were unsure she would be able to feel herself going to the bathroom on her one is such little time. So the nurses at the facility just replaced it. on febuary 22 dr.k instructed his nurses to take her catheter out anyway. he didnt believe it was something she infact needed and refuses to listen to her about what she told him it was for. despite that she figured he knew what he was doing and went along with the retaining of her bladder. That is the only thing we believed he did right in that facility. The worse thing he did however from the day she began on his own accord without speaking to her cancer team or her he began lowering her medication dose little by little leaving her in immense pain beliving it was not something needed. Forcing her to do therapy and walk even with her begging for a scan of her left leg because she believed she had 3 more holes (leasures) in her knee, ankle and joint that connects her leg to her upper half and wouldn't give me the scan. However she knew something was wrong. On febuary 25th she began my first day screaming in pain for hours. Unknowing to herself what was going on. She didn't know at the time that he was lowering her medication and our family believed it was maybe because she was pushing herself to hard in therapy so that she can return home quicker. Even though in her mind she didn't feel like that. Febuary 26 she couldn't stay awake for she was only able to sleep and cry. In her mind she though she was nearing her final days from the cancer because it was so painful and my medicine wouldn't work. She cried and begged for help. She begged her sweet nurse, nurse L. not to leave her and to help her. And as amazing as she was she promised her she would be here for her and would do all she could. And she believed every word from her mouth. And still do for as we said the nurses were amazing. February 27th while she was screaming in pain the doctors not believing she was listening since she was crying, began talking over her and speaking on how they lowered her dosage as low as they could for the moment. And they didnt think they could lower it any more but may lower it again soon. she waisted no time in telling our family everything in which they tried to gaslight her. Saying she was delulu because of the pain And they tried to lie and cover up thier illigal doings. They told our family and her that this wasnt going on. However the messed up when they Said that they day I came in they had no record of her nurses taking out her old catheter that caused her pain and replacing it with a new one when her bf was in the room with her. Her mom after talking it over with a few family members decided to pull her out because of all she was realized they were doing to her in there. However, they refused to give me my discharge paper because my mom signed it and wrote on there all they did to me. To make matters worse they tried to call her pharmacist and stop her meds. However they were not her original doctor and couldnt.
Thank God for this facility! My mom having the opportunity to attend this facility changed our life. I initially left 5 stars because of how life changing the therapy was. I have to tell the whole truth because your… loved ones life depends on it. My mom was there for 6 weeks. My family never left my mom alone for more than an hour. Some of the nurses are not very responsive. Overall it was a great experience.
Extremely rude, non nursing staff, such as people sittingat the Nurses station, your staff logging visitors in 1st floor. Building needs some serious upgrades. Nurses have been very kind.
Everyone in outpatient OT and PT were absolutely wonderful! They were sweet to all patients, wonderful in working with patients in their exercises, and did a great job teaching us how to continue exercises our family… member at home.
My mother was treated here. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
After spending a week here recovering from surgery procedures I can say this was an excellent experience overall. Both the nursing staff and therapy staff are very skilled in their field of expertise and treat everyone… with respect and compassion. I have been able to make a speedy recovery and feel confident in being able to manage on my own at home now. If I ever have the need for rehabilitation services in the future I will definitely return here for those services. I also HIGHLY recommend Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute to anyone else needing this service in their life. Best of the Best! By Far
I normally do not rate or review but if you ever find yourself needing these types of services. I recommend Baptist health rehabilitation Little Rock My husband had been in the hospital in Conway for a couple of weeks… then to cornerstone acute care and then rehab. All of this during the covid19 where no visitors allowed. At rehab I was allowed to stay overnight in my husbands room and had my own bed It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful and after 15 weeks of hospitals we are days away from going home. They have a wonderful program here. I hope this helps someone in their time of need.
Great experience excellent staff make u feel like home good physical therapy staff recommended and nurse very helpful at all time.
We are currently here since mid-July. My husband has been ill for several months and had multiple medical issues. Whereas, any recovery is aided by having loved ones in the room daily, I must say our experience here has… been stellar. The internist—Dr Green—has been top notch and quick to adjust meds as needed. He called in specialists where needed. The nursing staff has exceeded our expectations. And the therapists have been the absolute best. We have a ways to go but now have hope where none existed before our stay here at BHRI.
