RHA Behavioral Health Services – Marion Reviews
Questions worth keeping in mind while reading RHA Behavioral Health Services reviews: Was the assessment explained clearly? Were costs set out early? Was there a plan for after treatment?
Accounts that address points like these are usually the most informative.
This place is really bad and I don't often feel moved to write negative reviews about anything. The group therapy was useless, about half the sessions were spent on filling in coloring sheets like we're 6 years old,… because the therapist couldn't think of anything further to say after showing us PowerPoint slides with the symptoms of anxiety listed off. My psychiatrist regularly wasted my appointment times talking about herself. And when I had an individualized therapist assigned to me, she canceled 6 appointments in a row, sometimes cancelling a few hours before the appointment itself, before quitting RHA entirely without warning. Not to mention her advice and responses were pretty useless. I think the only advice she gave me was to "try listening to happy songs instead of sad songs". All in all, if you get referred here I really think it's in your best interest to find somewhere else, fast. It feels as though they hire random people off the street to work as "therapists" here. Heck, you're probably better off talking to a random person instead of going here 😂
All they do is Lie, work with you for several yrs. different offices. Majority of the Employees are a disaster, and either never lived in Our shoes, or forgotten that they were just their or just plan out miserable.
I don't believe that they have a counselor working in substance abuse who I made a complaint about who was buying Xanax from my grandson. After he passed she called me and said she knew who gave my grandson the bad… Xanax that was fentanyl. I meet with Laura Gaffney (Substance abuse counselor for RHA). I have her on recording stating she asked my grandson for Xanax but they were fake. On the recording she is almost in tears when I said I don't sell my prescription drugs. I reported this 2 years ago to the NCBLCMHC.ORG they stated that they would get back to me but never did. When I called them back and asked how she could still be working for Substance Abuse treatment they stated that the LCAS decides that. I don't believe that she is still working for Substance Abuse Treatment when she needs it. What child is she trying to buy drugs from now??? I do still have the recording if anyone is interested in hearing it.
For an establishment that claims to care and promote good mental health and emotional well being; the atmosphere in here is dark, cold, and the staff lack empathy and compassion. The front desk women are cold and crude,… for whatever reason. They have ZERO RESPECT for your time. The staff are clearly her to collect a paycheck, and that is all.
I went to the doctor for chest pains in Marion. The assistant asking questions if I was ever suicidal, which I have been in the past. Next thing I know they call the crisis Center “RHA” asking me all kinds of questions… then they wanted me to go to the hospital, they put me in a lockdown unit with people that was unsafe and down right scary all day after working third shift. Not only was I embarrassed and missed a night of work I was humiliated by these people. If I was suicidal I wouldn’t be going to the doctor for chest pains in the first place. Unprofessional, jump to conclusions, twist my words, this group is horrible in every way I can think of.
I have done business with rha for over 20 years They are great I met with Kim Johnson today I trust her explicitly Excellent at what she does Thank you rha Thank you Kim Bruce linton
So far so good with RHA. I apologize for not being able to call you back this afternoon. Believe me, my hands are tied by the local library. Nonetheless, I am very happy with the service I received this morning from the… lady I met with on telehealth, and I will be back in touch with RHA shortly. Thank you for assisting me with my mental health needs without bias.
Wonderful Receptionist
The staff here were extremely friendly, and they made me feel comfortable talking to them about anything. I need it to especially Missy at the front desk.
I truly enjoy my med doctor here who is kind and very easy to talk to and seems genuinely concerned about my health and wellbeing. I also enjoy the group teachers I have and am thankful for these 2 groups. But the… reason I have only 3 stars would be because perhaps one of the most important jobs in a mental health facility would be the front desk and receptionist and their attitude towards patients. This is crucial because by simply treating one patient unkind would potentially turn them away from the treatment they deserve. That being said there is one younger lady there who regularly has a smart attitude towards me and apparently many other people. She will make remarks that feel degrading and if you ask a question she will reply as if you should already know. I try to avoid talking to this one because she makes me feel like I'm not supposed to ask questions or inquire about things.
I have had several weeks of extremely high-quality counseling and care at RHA. I understand they had a revolving door issue that has been resolved, and it shows. I think they can be proud of the service they provide and… I am happy I chose there for my provider.
Wish I could leave a lower review. They are the rudest people out front and on the telephone. No way in this environment they should employee these rude people. Also they have such a turn over rate it’s crazy. They want… you to attend therapy but it seems the teacher quits, fired, or moves on all the time and it’s always starting over and with someone different. Jack is the only one I would give praise to as he listens and has been there from the beginning with me. I dint know how this place is not shut down by the state for how rude they are and the way they treat people. Even when I’m there for my appointment I see it first hand how they treat others out front and how rude they are. I wish they was a number to have the state investigate this place. More people need to complain and not let them just get away with this type of behavior when they are setup to help people. If you have been treated unfairly find the ethics hotline it’s 24/7 and you can also leave a complaint there but not sure if it will help. I will continue to complain until the rude people are gone.
I put 3 because I'm in anger management "not by choice lol" and the teacher have switched 3times now because they went on to do different things, the problem is the last 2 teachers failed to give us the new ID #. First… tether told us she was leaving but didn't give us the new ID. The second teacher didn't tell us she was leaving and didn't give the new ID # the class is 12weeks long I stay because each teacher has a different perspective on anger no I dont know when they will changed. Every so often a new person comes in and I get to hear how they handle their anger and it can be helpful of course I'll tell mine see if I can help others. Thing is I don't have a choice right now to do these classes so I don't want to get blamed for something the teacher fails to do. It's annoying. I'm not blaming RHA at least they will put me in the right direction when the teacher falls on their part.
I myself didn’t go but helped assist someone in getting an appointment and it turned out to be a very bad experience the staff was rude and accusing person of lying about other issues saying they wouldn’t be be… depressed if …. But as a professional they should know you have to treat one issue at a time and being offensive and cruel to a already depressed person is only going to make things worse. Very disappointed in rha
Terrible service and help, I’ve been trying to get help off and on for years now. Somehow they’ve managed to put me in a worse mental state. Bringing up issues unrelated to why I’m coming to therapy and outright… accusing me of lying to them. As if I have something to gain by wasting my time and theirs. (Perhaps the lady I saw is going senile ?)I honestly wish I could leave negative stars.
This place doesn't care about their patients I had an appointment with frank pizzardi and was told it could be done via zoom call due to the virus. I was left waiting for the host to accept thee meeting for over two… hours. This is the second time this has been done. I have one more appointment with mr. pizzardi of it is done the same way I will be looking into legal recourse since I am told no where else can serve me due to probation. I would actually give it 0 stars if I could
They got our schedule incorrect 3 times, we won't be rescheduling again. 1st time I was able to go in and talk but the last 2 they put us in for a wrong day or time. I dont think i even got to talk about my mental… health but I had to talk about my history for paper work and things for them to write down (I been able to talk only 2 times). The ladies in the front desk seem nice though.
Very uncaring they don't care about your mental health all they care about is that paycheck.
They are very unprofessional and unorganized! No one cares about your mental state they are all there for a paycheck!
Everyone here(staff) are courteous and are will to help out in any way possible.
My daughter was treated horribly by the admission woman. She was rude and condensending. NO compassion at all. Was reading questions off a computer screen like a robot. She was abrupt. Stating coldly "If you're not… suicidal, then we can't help you." This witch with a B needs to be fired.
The admission lady was cold and rude. She told me I wanted attention. She was defensive, mean and wouldn't listen. I was crying and she shut the door in my face.. literally.. I want to report her but don't know how. How… can someone treat patients like they are criminals when they are trying to get help? By far the worst I've ever been treated in my life. She completely took advantage of my weak mental state and got pleasure from putting me down. PTSD is real. She deserves to be fired
