River Edge Behavioral Health – Milledgeville Reviews
River Edge Behavioral Health is described on this page through public records. In this section, the description comes from patients, family members and professionals with direct experience of the facility.
Reviews gathered from around the web are included as well.
I called the number listed online for them because I came across someone in crisis who was seeking help for alcoholism. I got a voicemail and had to leave a message. Still waiting on them to return my call!
Disorganized. Lackadaisical appearance of focus on the job. Appears unsupervised.
Do not trust them they had me on adderall and zoloft in 2009 and the Adderall made me feel weird and zoloft didnt work and i was still depressed. I recently learned that Adderall and zoloft are not supposed to be… combined. River edge behavioral health doctors should lose their medical license for malpractice.
I've been going there they started out nice at first but I've been out of effexor for a a year and all at ounce they cut me off after they messed up my appointment and now I don't know what to do or how anyone can help… me file a complaint against them for malpractice of a patient and every time you get used to seeing the same doctor they switch you to someone else and then you have to explain everything all over and with PTSD that's hard having to go through that every time
Staff is terrible. The Doctor wanted to tell me all about how great Trump is. Very rude to my friends service animal.
This location was by far the worst. The staff wasn’t friendly, didn’t listen, and responded disrespectfully when asked simple questions about scheduling an appointment. Our appointment was to see a doctor in person,… once we arrived they notified us our appointment was changed to a virtual appointment. During the visit with the doctor, we were scolded about being late for the appointment. Mind you, we were on time and had to wait to get checked in by their staff. Then when discussing why we were there and what was going on, the doctor didn’t seem concerned or present. He asked a couple of questions and we had to ask him to reference the chart to see which meds worked best from 2021. He never reviewed the patient’s chart during the 18 mins he was “waiting” on us to get In processed. I would recommend the Macon location over this one.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at River Edge. During my time as a client I have encountered several issues that have left me feeling unsupported and frustrated.
I entered their inpatient program for suicidal thoughts with 1 yr 8mo and 16 days of sobriety and PTSD resulting from someone who tried to kill me in my home. I completed 2 of the 7 day program when my attacker was… admitted to the same unit as mine. River Edge’s solution to the problem was to discharge me the same day and allow my attacker to stay despite the fact that I had a restraining order. Being rejected from a facility that is supposed to help people was devastating. So much so that I started drinking again. Thank you River Edge!!
I’m worse off now than before when I started seeing them over a year ago. They have done nothing to help me with my mental health and my crippling anxiety. Also most people who work here are okay but Dr Rao (the main… doctor) is the most incompetent human being on the planet. Thanks for nothing!
Not great place to take your kids for help and the worker is o unprofessional and don't see parents as equals and is sad
Only the first visit . But so far not bad.
They treat you with care and move with a sense of urgency.
I took someone very dear to me to the crisis center for immediate help. The older lady at the window was extremely rude, and the nurse that came to the window was as well. I wish now I had just politely told them what… they could do with their facility and took her elsewhere. I can promise it won't happen again. That is definitely not a place that anyone should be anything other than kind and understanding. Come on people, you can do better.
The staff is always super helpful and kind but the new psychiatrist is incredibly rude and unprofessional. He insinuated I was skipping doses of my medication and I felt very unheard in my session with him. Good place… to go if you're low income, but my recent treatment leaves a lot to be desired.
Patronizing doctor
Great community resource with friendly and helpful staff. You can even get healthcare there on Wednesdays.
I understand you have policies and procedures, but don't tell me you don't have a restroom I can use! I had to GO! Like where do y'all pee?
Took my son to get some help and they sent him back home after a 5 mins conversation today. It’s a shame people ask for help and can’t even get a real conversation… I see why the mental get frustrated and do what they… feel they need to get the peace of mind they feel they need. CAUSE NOONE LISTENS…
They are so slow about seeing you takes 2 hours just for a medicine check up
This place has definitely gotten horrible they used to care about the patients but they don’t any longer. I recommend that if your a current patient you look into suing for negligent practice. The doctor previously had… was willing to listen and hear what the patient had to say the dr law or however it’s spelled decided to change medicines I have been on for almost 20 years because they are not ones he wanted to prescribe and he did not even suggest a replacement. When working in mental health you cannot simply Change a patients long term routine
Took my wife there several times at first she had a good doctor that worked with her and helped. But when this doctor retired. They gave her a new doctor doctor Eubanks. All of a sudden she decided to change medication… that she had been taking for 10 years and on top of that being very mean and hollering at her and threatening her. This is not the way you treat a patient if you can't help somebody you have no business being a doctor
If you would have asked me about rivers edge before the pandemic. I would have said that they was absolutely awesome. But it seems like they have restaffed recently. The new people they have that works the front desk… have this nice/nasty attitude , and will ball face lie to you. And make sure you don't rely on there pharmacy. Your medicine will never be right not to mention they no longer have a pharmacy on site. So for those of us who can't run out we are playing Russian roulette every month. I've been shorted on my medicine 7 or 8 different times Since they changed . I'm so close to the edge my toes aren't touching the ground....
