Robinson Counseling Center – Wilkes Barre Detox and Rehab Services

Robinson Counseling Center – Wilkes Barre appears on the register for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed alongside substance use, which is the approach the evidence supports. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Robinson Counseling Center – Wilkes Barre Address, Location and Contact Information

21 Academy Street, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, 18702 is the address held. This address falls in Luzerne County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Psychiatrist BRENDA MILLER was excellent. I wasn’t just in and out. She actually took her time to listen to me and understood the pain I was in. I not only thought of her as my psychiatrist but also my therapist as… well! I suffered for 3 long years with deep depression and crippling anxiety. I lost all motivation to live. She got me on the right meds immediately. I never EVER thought I’d be happy again. Unfortunately I moved and had to find a new doctor, but I remain on the same meds that she prescribed me and I hope she knows she saved my life. Thank you Brenda, from the bottom of my heart!

I have to many negative experiences. This place is grossly incompetent. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you are looking for services that care about adults with mental health this is not the place. The counselors do… not listen. Crisis workers do not know how to handle people in crisis. The Psychiatrist is a joke.

I love this place and everyone that works there . Rebecca Zebley is my counselor and let me tell you … SHE’S AMAZING ! The care she shows for each client is special. Knowing someone truly wants the best for you is what… changes lives . I would recommend this place for anyone who needs help within addiction.

I do not know anything about the psychiatrist there. However, they do have therapist that take insurance. So I cannot comment on that however Denise was wonderful and as I said, they do accept everything.

The counselors and crs's I have had the pleasure to work with are real-life super heros. It takes a lot to do what they do, and the level of how they actually care about people is remarkable.

I hate the place they don't listen very well think they got the answers with out checking background information so they have no clue who is Infront of them....

CCS did not go out of business it became Robinson Counseling. There is no money in making people healthy. If they keep the standard of care at the bare minimum they can literally string you along from the time you are a… child until you die without you ever knowing what it is like to be healthy and all in the same building. This is yet another scam to take government funding and nothing more. Children Service Center has already been doing this for decades and this is children service center for adults. The mentally ill in our area get screwed once again..

Everyone in the medication department, besides the supervisor, I believe her name is Wendy or something, is absolutely terrible. I was prescribed a medication for a new diagnosis and it was on a prior authorization. It… got denied by my insurance because the proper paperwork hadn't been filed. I called my doctor's office about it, and I was transferred to the medication department. They told me they would do an appeal for my medication. About a month passes by, and I still have no medicine, which I need in order to function properly in school and work. I called my insurance and asked how the appeal was going and they explained that there is no appeal on file. I called the office and I was transferred to the medication department and they were incredibly rude and said, "I don't know how many times we need to be told, but there is an appeal," (I had called prior to this about the appeal, after calling my insurance, who said there was no appeal). I am still without my medication and they are all terrible people and liars. The staff, other than the medication department, is very kind and extremely helpful, like my provider, Brenda Miller Tocket. She is a wonderful woman along with my counselor, Danielle Melnick. They are amazing individuals. If I could file a lawsuit against those who spoke to me so rudely and are LYING about my medication, I absolutely would.

I have been going through therapy with this place over a year. My sessions are over the phone because of bad anxiety. I was given the best and most amazing therapist ever. I have been in counseling on and off since I… was 13. This place is the first to have someone who doesn't use the question steps Like the places i used to go. She actually listens and has been supportive and more. My therapist is the most amazing woman ever. I have had a lot of trauma my whole life and opening up and reseeing the truth with talking it out has helped. I have been through hell and back since I was 7 months old and now I'm almost 33 and for the first time I feel alot has come off my chest thanks to therapy from here. Love love love my therapist 💕

Honestly I would go back here in a heartbeat. I’ve never been to any psychiatric or counseling center that treated me as good as this center did. Brittany was my counselor and she was just such an amazing person, I know… she did everything she could to help me get back on my feet. The receptionists are so nice and very understanding, I would recommend this place to anyone seeking drug and alcohol treatment and/or mental health treatment. I have yet to find a better place that genuinely cares the way these people do.
