Rockland is nice I may try and go back.
Just don't go there, plz find a better way on your journey to recovery.
This place is unprofessional and they don’t care about your mental health or your family members sobriety MY BROTHER WAS IN A BAD ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THEM AN THEY WONT RELASE ANY DETAILS AN THE DRIVER WHO WAS AT FAULT… IS STILL WORKING !!BAD COMPANY
Perfect place to change your life!!! Thank you to all Rockland staff!!!
Taught me how to get real with myself and heal finally. But the back room contains a spirit that makes contact with you thru the lamp and touches you too. .lol
The worst treatment center I’ve ever been too. Don’t waste your time. Find somewhere with people who care.
Don’t do it!!! Staff is untrained and unprofessional. Arriving I was excited and in good spirits, after leaving my mental health was worse. All I wanted was assistance with recovery :(
My son is there and it really has helped him cope with his emotions and learn that he is very special and deserves to have people treat him the way he deserves to be treated. He needs positive people and from what he… says he's really learning alot.I pray for him daily. Thanks to his case manager Mr Malcolm who goes way beyond his job and I can't say thank you and May God Bless you.
highly preditory business practices. run like a bootcamp or corrections office. staff is rude. clearly dont care about patience their.
I used to stay in Rockland 2021 was the best year 2024 got worse smh
I’ve been in and out of rehab since I was 17 years old. I’m now 27. I’ve been to probably 10-15 facilities and detoxes all over Florida. Rockland saved my life. I see the one star reviews but I encourage everyone to… read this comment. I was suicidal for as long as I could remember hopeless without a purpose. After rockland I’m now grateful for my life. I will always be an addict, but I can recover thanks to rockland. If yall see this comment and remember me I love and miss yall thankyou for saving my life. It’s been a year and I’m still clean ❤️ Tough love from rehab technicians can play a powerful role in helping someone get sober—especially when softer approaches have failed. It’s not about cruelty or punishment. It’s about structured honesty, firm boundaries, and refusing to enable addiction behaviors. Here’s how it works: 1. Breaks Through Denial • Addiction thrives on denial: “I’m fine,” “I can control it,” “It’s not that bad.” • Tough love confronts those lies directly: “You’re not okay. This is where your choices have gotten you.” • Rehab techs trained in tough love don’t sugarcoat—they reflect back the truth in ways friends or family may avoid out of fear or guilt. 2. Sets and Enforces Boundaries • Addicted people often test limits—lying, manipulating, refusing to follow rules. • Techs use tough love by saying things like: “You can choose to leave, but you can’t stay here and use.” “You broke the rule—you face the consequence.” • This teaches accountability, which addiction erodes. 3. Builds Emotional Resilience • Tough love pushes people to sit with discomfort—grief, shame, anger, boredom—without numbing it with substances. • A technician might say: “You’re upset. Good. Let’s talk about it. Feel it. Don’t run from it.” • Instead of rescuing you emotionally, they stand beside you through it. 4. Promotes Self-Responsibility • Rehab staff using tough love often refuse to do things for clients that they can do themselves. • This empowers clients: “You’re capable of facing this. We’re here to support—not to save.” • That shift from victimhood to ownership is crucial for lasting sobriety. 5. Prepares You for the Real World • Life outside rehab isn’t always kind. Employers, landlords, families won’t always be patient or forgiving. • Tough love gives you practice tolerating frustration, hearing hard truths, and dealing with people who hold you accountable.
As a mother of a person who has been dual diagnosed...thank you for helping my son. I was so afraid I'd lose my son! Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me my son back! I prayed God put the right ppl in his… life....I continue to pray that everyday!
Can’t get admissions on the phone. I’ve called multiple times for admissions and general information and I’ve been sent to voicemail or someone who works in transportation answered. You’d think they would have more than… one person working the admissions line. I even tried filling out the form online and I got one phone call I couldn’t reach. Tried to call back and haven’t got ahold of them since.
Terrible place for treatment! The intake is a joke. Several staff members are prior Department of Corrections officers. They will tell you that you will be medically screened and they don’t screen you. They will treat… you as if you’re an inmate vs a citizen looking for help for mental health or substance abuse issues. When staff makes mistakes, there will be excuses, if you make a mistake you will be belittled. After intake you’re transferred to a house where numerous other clients are housed. The second day I was there, there was a fight. Practically, all of the intake staff and housing staff are women, and all of them were problematic and treated clients as if they were 15 year old teenagers. Programs run all day. You will not get any rest. Seriously, this program is more like a concentration camp vs a facility trying to help you with your mental health/substance abuse issues. You are required to go to NA/AA meetings 3 - 5 times a week. You will be chaperoned everywhere. You will have chores to do endlessly when you do have some time for yourself. There are no phones allowed. They will not tolerate anything. If you refuse to do anything you will be placed on a probationary status. If you break that contract you will be discharged, and they will provide no transportation back to your home or county that you came from. Nor will they provide at the bare minimum, a map of the surrounding area so you can figure out how to get back home. Truthfully, this place is one of the worst places I’ve been to seeking treatment. If I could, I wouldn’t give this place 1 star. For those seeking treatment at Rockland be very careful selecting this place as a place for help!
The reason for two stars is they do not set clients up for success leaving treatment. The clients are not allowed (with assistance of therapist) to work on SNAP, Disability, and a working phone, for example so when a… client steps out the door (if they do not have outside help) they don't stumble immediately. Also, a huge roadblock, is if a client moves to another location (which is actually highly encouraged to change people, PLACES, and things to not remind them of their situation and to start over) they are not able to get the medications the treatment center started them on and typically got them nice and stable on.They refuse to transfer medications to pharmacies. Both of these are recipes for a mental relapse almost immediately. If Rockland truly cared about success and not wanting the clients back two, and three times, which in a few cases seemed to be the case, they would change these policies for the sake of success of their clients lives. All in my personal opinion of course.
Wonderful Fantastic Phenomenal LIFE SAVING 🙏 Care Love Compassion 💕 Rockland will forever be my inner circle and FAMILY
Does this place,do they take any age? I have a 12 year old son that was recently diagnosed with DMDD,I need to get him help now. Do you stay over night for how many days or do they supply zoom online at home?
This place changed my life. I came into the program at Rockland Treatment, skeptical - but willing. after my first week of sleeping I woke up and took part in listening. The therapists, especially Mrs Maureen, were… fantastic people who had journeys too. Everybody struggles. So if you're like I was in mid April of 2024, staring at places and making up reasons to refuse. Don't go any further. they will even come to pick you up from your location and accept medicaid. I did this, and I made the best choice doing such. you're going to love that place, it's people, even the people in treatment you can grow close to and form bonds you carry out even after you're gone. it was the best decision I have ever made personally, it should be your best decision to make too. and if you do go, tell them all I taylor says hello and he's doing great. miss that place and the people more Daily.
Rockland is a great experience. But it was really hard for me ,really hard I did not expect all of that. The information they give on mental health and addiction it is very intensive. Day in and day out .Great… therapists.i wasn't so fond of one male therapist but you may think differently. Made great connections ,some of the patients there had a mouth. just stick to yourself, your not there for everyone or to really make forever friends , even though you may.The staff is nice and so is the techs .one of them bought me slippers when I did not have. Thank you!! It might feel like too much but it's worth the journey. Climb your mountain, and get to the top. Oh yeah and come prepared and pack your stuff like your going on a trip. Good luck.
This is an extraordinary treatment center. You will be treated with grace and understanding. EVERYONE here is amazing from staff to therapists to all the techs. They are truly there for you!! Wish I could give you all… the biggest shout out but I only have so much room. Huge THANKS to Mya,Taylor and Scott for all you do and your commitment to your job!!
I can honestly say that place is the worst place I have ever been to In My Life the staff there is Major races on multiple situations. As soon as your insurance Runs Out they kick you out the same day no matter if you… have a way home or not. clinical staff as well the only person I can say was honestly respectable and at least considerate of other people's needs was this Corola. They have a form to fill out if your rights have been violated they refused to turn them in even the supervisors of the staff refused to turn them in they still medication that's used for treatment once I left and they let the men use racial slurs and vulgar sexual statements to the women and nothing has been addressed I'm filing a complaint as soon as possible.
So I have been down this road before. And when you go somewhere in your darkest hours to get help and comfort this is not the place. I have never felt the desire to walk out of a facility because the staff pushed you to… that point. Now let me say the night shift crew were absolutely some of the best people you could have around you. But as far as the so called Psych Docs and the day shift crew forget going here. It is all about the money. If it wasn’t for the other clients in there I would have walked on the second day. This program is 100 AA and NA based. It’s all about the money. If you can go anywhere else please do and stay away from here. It’d it’s your last resort, go get better and leave as soon as you can. But again the night shift God Bless you without you I would I probably would have left and used. So if you like painting pictures in the park and absolutely no down time and the worst food ever give it a shot.
Staff is super nice. They keep the housing area really clean!
Came in 4 years ago in August and if it was not for their facility i would not be here. Came out with the best experience and taught me great living/coping mechanisms when i got sober. Found me placement after i was… done with treatment. You can leave on weekends and they took us to the beach. Also, there was a meeting every wed really close by
The one thing I can guarantee you is you will learn how to change your thinking
I'm not reviewing but I have some important questions about the length of treatment I'm looking for a long term treatment center in Florida that accepts Medicaid for a family member he is a veteran in his 40s and wants… to get full custody of his young son so it's imperative he is being released from a detox tomorrow and has no safe place to go so anyone with any answers please help.
First time in recovery and I learned so much about my addiction from going to Rockland. I'm so grateful for being sober and using the tools they taught me to continue my soberity. I still go there for IOP & OP. and… living at a sober living hpuse. Grateful for my HIGHER POWER for bei g there for me I couldn't of done it without HIM.
