Sandstone Care – Colorado Springs delivers detox, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Addiction and mental health are worked on at the same time here. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early.

I am so thankful for help that Sandstone Care provided for my daughter and the support for me and my husband through parent support meetings and family counseling. I couldn't believe we found a program out there such as… Sandstone that provided intensive therapy to help my daughter. Everyone was nice to work with and the staff communication was excellent. They kept us informed how our daughter was doing and responded quickly to our questions. Hoping we can continue the good work started now that she is home.

I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that the PHP program altered the course of my life. The Young Adult group therapists and therapy have changed the way I look at life. I’m proud to say that as I write this I am over… a month sober from my drug of choice. Thank y’all so much for your help.

Sandstone is amazing. My daughter was able to figure out what was going on with not only her anxiety, but get the needed tools and support to move forward daily. Highly recommend

Ultimately, the program was effective for my son. He did residential program followed by sober living. Inconsistency with staffing turnover was frustrating, and led to some setbacks. I was never contacted for the family… therapy. My son is doing well, and that is the ultimate goal.

My son was at Sandstone and although some of the treatment was good, some was terrible.. The discharge notes were complete lies and done by AI.. The director refuses to address it and I’m filing reports against this… company.

Our family had the pleasure of working closely with many of the staff members at Sandstone. Both inpatient and outpatient facilities are outstanding and you couldn't ask for more passionate, warm, caring people. We… would give it six stars if we could.

We had looked at sandstone care often on for about a year before we made the decision to send him there. During our last talk, they reassured us they would be able to handle our son who had a habit of running. So we… decided to admit him, with his agreement to go. When arriving there, They stressed the importance of when emailing email everybody on the list and always reply to all. And they would do the same, and that did not really Always reply to me and my wife. The first night, my son decided to run. They called us when we were in Kansas City, Missouri and we’re from St. Louis so we were about six hours away. When talking to D she Said she was a said she was a nursing administrator, and did not seem to care that he ran away and could not give us very much any information and was very nonchalant about the whole situation. We thought we left our son with people we could trust and we’re hours away and it seemed like they didn’t care and we were really frantic on the whole situation for his safety. One thing that we never told when we dropped our son off there was it may take up to an hour or more for the police to show up for a runaway from sandstone in Colorado Springs. When we were talking to Dee and we had mentioned that we might pull our son Dee pretty much said the bags be waiting on the porch. Dee even though Did not really care if we got him or not. My son ended up coming back on his own. And the next day when we talked to one of the directors, we said that we would come and get him. They said that’s exactly what he wants And you should stick to the program. So we left him there and on the following Monday he decided to leave again. Then we were called after that happened and we were told to come get him and we had 48 hours to come get him. And keep in mind we are roughly 12 hours away. So when you think of that way, they gave him exactly what they wanted. They never told us if he ran twice he’ll be kicked out of the program. If we would’ve known this, we would’ve got him on the first night that he Ran away. The funny thing is keeping him till Monday was just enough time to eat up all the deductible and for them to collect over $2000. One thing I would say about sand Stone, if your kid is not there in a court order and they’re known for on the way, do not waste your time or money. There’s a good chance you’re kid will run and they will not care and you’ll you’ll just be out money. Not once they offer our money back or any solutions that they said they could that they would consider helping. The 1st night that he had ran away, we were told that they had a locked facility that they could transport him Find out that was not the truth. In the end, they could not answer or was not willing to answer a lot of of our questions. So again, if your kid is not there on a court order and they are known runner Time or money they cannot handle them, or do they really care if they can or not.

They are exactly why 10s of thousands of people die every year from lack of "Healthcare!" I told him I had two distinct and well known threats on my life from both Factor 5 and 3 vertibrea crushing my cervical spinal… cord. He repeatedly argued with me, hung up on me...and, blocked not only my cell number but my Google number as well. (I'll have to go get a 3rd, 4th, 5th numbers for them to block.) Guess I'll have to call someone else about my Xeralto dependency. This is exactly why I record not only my phone calls but every time I come even remotely close to any part of Healthcare especially the ER! Iffin you wanna hear the recordings feel to to holler at justagrashoper around that thar hotmail way.

Impeccable service through the phone, great therapists, really welcoming! They helped me get the care I needed and supported me with my decision to switch to a more specialized program. Very people oriented! Edit: After… going to a different program, I have to knock off a star. I learned more coping skills and about my mental health in 3 days compared to the 2 weeks I was at sandstone. Sandstone is still an excellent place, I think they just need to work on eduction and skills practice!!

I owe my life to this place. All the staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable on how to handle any mental health situation that is happening in you’re life. They have many levels of care and tailor it to your needs… depending on how much help you need. They also provide snacks for everyone there. This place is the perfect place to find help. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is struggling with their mental health. After leaving sandstone care I was able to live a better and healthier life with the skills that they gave me.

This place have therapist that provide the worst advice to parents. None of the therapist that handled my child care were parents or knew how to handle parent/kids relationships. All they advised my kid was to leave our… home because things would never be better unless they did. One of the family therapy I had with them was very hurtful and everything was our fault as parents there was not help whatsoever on how to work together as a family to make things better! Due to their advice I forced myself to do things I never felt comfortable with and my daughter’s mental health ended up being worse than what it was before joining. I would never recommend this place.

Theyre giving the run around to my brother on getting his daughter help for her mental health, lying and anger issues. First guy said they will help, the second lady said no, she has to look into it. Now they wanted to… talk to the daughter who is 13, she lied to them so now they don't want to help, despite the fact the my brother told them he has camera footage of how his daughter behaves. There's no mental facility or doctor willing to help his daughter, they will just let it get worse and worse until it's too late. I dont recommend this place because of the run around they give.

This place told us they were equipped to handle mental health. We were told that the IOP program had what we were looking for. We set up the intake appointment and things were quite a bit different than what was… described over the phone. We were told my daughter would do group therapy and individual therapy. During the intake they were a bit confused about the individual therapy and said I could set something up with the man who runs group therapy. When the lady brought us over to him he was very nonchalant and didn’t seem like he wanted to set something up. He kept saying to just give him a call, but we knew which days worked best for us and could’ve scheduled then. Even when I pointed that out, he still said to give him a call. I called the next day and explained it may be slightly easier for my daughter to jump into the group if we did her individual counseling first. He said we could come in that day an hour before group started. I dropped her off and he definitely didn’t conduct therapy. Instead he explained the program AGAIN and proceeded to tell my daughter the business of all those in group therapy. That’s when she knew she was not in the right place. Everyone in her group was there for drug rehab. Which is amazing for them, don’t get me wrong…but how does someone experiencing severe anxiety fit into that group and relate to the other people? She felt like her problems would be insignificant in such a group and asked me to pick her up. She said he proceeded to sit there at his desk and look at all the records of those in group, but that’s it. He finally told her to go to the kitchen and take a break. When I was leaving my house I got a call from the man who conducted “therapy.” He called me to tell me my daughter didn’t have much to say to him. But she had already told me how the appointment went and how it wasn’t actual therapy, so I didn’t really have much to say to him because he did not even try to talk to her in a way that needed her to respond. I mean, how exactly does a teenager respond to someone telling her other peoples problems? Sure, had she gone to the group she would have gotten to know their problems sooner or later, but that’s their story to tell. In the end it felt like a cash grab. I called them at such a vulnerable time, just looking for help for my daughter and they assured me they were the right fit. From the calls with them, I thought they conducted groups for drug rehab separate from groups that needed help with mental health.

Caridad was just as amazing as Robert. As a matter of fact every person and dept i came in contact with was so supportive and helpful. SIMPLY AMAZING
