This place literally sucks. They will throw you out to the street with no where to go. They don’t care about the clients. They just want a paycheck.and they lost all my freaking property

When I first walked through the doors of Sophros, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. That rock bottom everyone talks about. I had been to my fair share of rehabs and treatment programs and somehow could not… seem to get sobriety to stick. I was hopeless, alone, and scared. But this place changed that, and set my life on a new trajectory I didn’t think was possible. This place is truly one of a kind. I hit the jackpot when I was assigned Shannon as my therapist. You’ll see her mentioned a lot in these reviews, and for very good reason. To bluntly put it, she saved my life. And I’m not being dramatic when I say that. Her wit, compassion, and dedication is one of the main reasons I’ve made it this far. She taught me to not complicate the uncomplicated, to stop trying to outsmart my disease, and get out of my own way. Simple truths, that seemed impossible to grasp. The entire team at Sophros is made up of some of the most caring humans I’ve been blessed to encounter. They didn’t give up on me, especially when I felt like giving up on myself. Shannon, Veronica, Rajon, Laura, Luna, Drew, and everyone else, make this a truly wonderful healing place. I’ve been through PHP, IOP, and hope to continue on with OP when that time comes. Thank you Sophros, for giving me the tools to get my life back. I will forever be indebted to you. “Never fear the shadows. Outstanding program! Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I was fortunate enough to stay in the new housing for the duration of PHP. It’s a good balance of freedom and accountability. As compared to being locked… down like other PHPs I had considered. Sophros provided a number of different approaches in sessions to help keep everyone engaged. And my therapist Shannon was top notch. Definitely would recommend.

I have gone to many, many treatment centers in an attempt to adress my alcoholism. Countless. The staff at Sophros is unlike anything Iv'e encountered. They are not just a business, and we are.not just numbers. The… individualized attention and care for our wellbeing is by far unmatched. I have the pleasure of having Shannon as my therapist, connecting dots and helping me see things that no other therapist has been able to do. Rayshawn, the senior therapist provides ART, a therapy I knew nothing about but honestly has changed my life in a big way. Tim, in charge of housing here, goes above and beyond for us everyday helping us set.ourselves up for success. Even the techs are amazing, Cam, Jaime and Tyler are always there to help. Top notch doesn't do it justice. I only wish I found them sooner.

This is such a good place to maintain recovery. Most place see there patients as numbers. But here at Sophros the staff really engages with there patients. Each member of the staff brings a helpful and unique… perspective to each group. The therapist are amassing and truly want the best for there clients. This lovely group provides a therapeutic and calming environment. I am always impressed by how loving and insightful everyone is.

Sophros is the best treatment center i have ever attended. The staff are caring,compassionate and professional. I have been here in the residential php program since June 18th. They have turned this former run down… property into a beautiful peaceful place to live. Thank you so much to all the staff. You have given me the opportunity to change my life.

My name is Carmen. I love SoPhros, they have become family to me. The doctor, nurse, support staff and especially the therapists provide services with care, empathy and professionalism. Tim and Drew ensure we each get… our daily preferred meals and facilitate process groups with experiences of their own. As a graduate architect, I really enjoy art and music therapy classes with Veronica. Shannon, my personal therapist meets with me every week to ensure my needs are met. She’s fantastic. Shannon, Rajon, Calvin, Laura, Luna, and Amy provide educational interactive presentations as effective tools to address traumas, substance abuse and mental health.

After researching several treatment options, including inpatient programs, I chose Sophros Recovery because I wasn’t sure what level of care I needed. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I never… imagined I’d find myself sitting alongside people struggling with addiction, let alone building meaningful connections with them. The therapists and nursing staff are exceptional—many draw from their own lived experiences, offering genuine insight and practical coping strategies. What has made the biggest difference for me is learning the skills to navigate life in a healthier way. In a relatively short time, I was able to work through deep-rooted trauma. I wouldn’t trade this recovery program for anything, and I’m grateful for the incredible, resilient people I’ve met in this program.

I absolutely love sophros!! I just moved to Flordia in June 2025. Fresh out of rehab from Pennsylvania. I struggled for 2 months before I got Insurance. Uneducated, craving and not myself. I Googled outpatient recovery… centers and first popped up Sophros recovery. I called immediately and set up a appointment. I was accepted right away. I was shy at first and didn't participate in groups. But, I warmed up and I've learned so many great skills that I use daily. Last year 2024 I was hurt by a close family member and was awaiting trial. My therapist and the team helped me be able to open up and tell my story. While gone for a week I had so much support from the team and I did it! My therapist Rajon tells me "I can do hard things" and I did and continue to do so. Andrew helped me realize that sitting in the hurt is the best way to get through it. He also helped me get a wonderful job and establish a community. This facility is amazing! The groups, therapist, and all the staff are wonderful each with their own skills and techniques. It works if you work it. So do the hard things and you will come out successful. Thank you sophros for all the skills, support and understanding. I will forever be grateful for everything you taught me.

I am grateful for Sophros Recovery and each of the staff members that run the program. The nursing staff, the therapists, and even the admin staff are caring and knowledgeable. The staff work as a team and treat each… client as important and seen. My favorite is the groups that are educational, engaging and supportive! I've seen firsthand how life changing this place is and would recommend Sophros to anyone that is interested in Recovery treatment.

The staff here are amazing, they started out looking out for a family member and have gone the extra mile to say the least and our now family. I cant say enough good things about Sophros..I am 49 years old and have been battling this disease since I was 14 ( my first rehab)..I personally drive and hour and fifteen minutes to get there for IOP, because the… treatment and the warm inviting vibes are totally worth it..Each of the therapists there to me, feel like they're my individual therapist..They really care about the patients and do everything possible to give us the best chance to succeed..I've been to many treatment facilities over my 35 years fighting this disease and Sophros is head and shoulders about the best..Once you pass the first part of intensive outpatient you graduate to virtual groups from the comfort of your home, which is extremely convenient and extremely therapeutic..Its very easy to stay engaged in the topics brought up during virtual groups and I rarely find myself getting distracted by things at my house, unless my 3 year old opens up my office..😂 A.R.T therapy can be done virtual too by Hailey and Meredith and I have done sessions in that which has cleared my traumatic events I've had in my life and has let me live guilt free, or not bogged down by the past.. Alexandra (Zan) is my personal therapist..She is fantastic..Again I've had many therapists in my life but she is the best at listening and calling me on my nonsense when I start to talk nonsensical..You would think they are paying me to write this review,but they're not and I stopped my work day to write this review because I want others who are struggling to UNDERSTAND that Sophros is top notch in every area of their program..It has changed my life and I honestly wish I could be a patient for life because the disease never stops trying to get a person to misstep..Thanks Sophros and God for saving and changing my life..
