About Spectra Health – Grand Forks
Spectra Health operates from 212 South 4th Street in Grand Forks. The site sits in Grand Forks County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at Spectra Health
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

The last time I got a filling here, I could feel the pain through my tooth. I wasn’t properly numbed. Even though I was crying out in pain and clearly uncomfortable, the dentist insisted that I was fine, told me I… couldn’t feel it, and had the nerve to tell me I should get on anxiety medication. Are you kidding me? This is beyond cruel treatment.
extremely rude front desk staff. for a place that supposed to be helping low income, traumatized, displaced, and struggling people you’re employees are extremely rude and not understanding or respectful at all. called… trying to ask about dental questions and i was extremely polite and patient and got nothing but attitude and hung up on and treated like a burden. i’ve been treated like a burden my whole life i don’t deserve that treatment from somewhere that supposed to be helping me get my life back on track. extremely disappointing. is all of grand forks this bad?
Dentist refuse to pull teeth until she had a full statement from my chemo doctor from 2 years ago stating that the chemo drugs I took two years ago would not affect the two teeth that I needed to pull and then when she… had that statement she still refused to pull the teeth and rescheduled my appointment. When my next appointment came up they called me and decided that they could not pull my teeth after all and had to send me out for a referral for oral surgery. This office is a complete joke. We did a total of 4 months with these people to have two teeth pulled and was in complete pain the whole time
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They seemed extremely interested in helping me with my needs. I have only used the medical and chiropractor. The dental doesn't see adults because they are extremely understaffed.… I use a different local dentist for my daughters and me. I also use a different vision clinic so I can't review the eye doctor. The social workers are also amazing.
Staff is extremely kind. They have treated my daughter so well. They were able to get her in back to back for some work. I do wish they had more staff so adults can be seen.
I've been dealing with excruciating tooth pain that landed me in the ER yesterday morning, and it's only getting worse. I've called 2 days in a row now as soon as they open to be told "sorry, we're full try again… tomrorow". Honestly its ridiculous. I understand others needing in but what's the point of calling every single day for a dental emergency when you can even get seen? They need to have more spots open.
They have helped me take care of my medical issues and with and with my paperwork. Couldn't ask for a better team.
Nice place thanks for help people with Medicaid
This place use to be amazing and now I despise it. Everytime I went I would have to wait longer than an hour at times. But if you are a minute late they won't see you. The male nurse at the front desk with a mullet, and… I think attempt at a mustache, is someone you want to avoid going to. Been coming here for years and now I'm unfamiliar with anyone there. Horrible place.
Absolutely horrific service and terrible staff. Worst place I’ve ever experienced in my life. Don’t waste your time.
It's not a terrible place to get your dental cleanings and maybe a cavity fill. I'd dread getting any serious dental work done. I've heard and seen evidence of horror stories. Try to go to the other place out of town if… you're low income/on Medicaid for your root canals.
I have never had a more pleasant or efficient check-in experience for my dental appointment. They must be training the new guy well. 10/10 would get my teeth cleaned here again.
It was decent. Not alot of waiting room time. Despite Two different dentists gave me two different treatment plans, I felt the best treatment option was made. I was having some issues hours after the procedure and… started calling the office around 4. After 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer. It disconnected. After several other calls unanswered I gave up. Very upsetting .No separate number to call in case of issues? No nothing. and it's Friday. Not very comforting. Decent place to go for emergency issues.
Spectra Health is the best community healthcare provider in the Grand Cities. Their Social Service staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Their nurses and doctors have the patient’s best interest in mind & check… in regularly with their clients if necessary. A+.
Went in for dental just to get told to basically shut up because I don't know where my bad teeth are. So got a referral for oral surgery and can't even get the teeth I need out. They want us to come in for another… evaluation but you can't trust these doctors. To scared I'm going to get told the same thing. Go figure because of being on nd medicaid and they are the only office in town that accepts it.
I brought my kids in for dental care, and they were amazing. My 11 year old has a very difficult time with dental/medical appointments, but they were wonderful with him. He asked to keep going there. My 14 year old also… felt very comfortable with the care. They explained treatment plans and billing, and there was truly no judgement, just honest explanations. I like the appointment system as well - appointments made for three weeks out. It's difficult to make appointments 6 - 9 months in advance like most dental offices, as we don't know our schedules that far out. Overall, I am very satisfied. I will continue to bring my children here.
the nurses and doctors were very friendly to my patients even they don’t have insurance
I don't recomand this place for anyone, i got my teeth extracted a month ago and i am still suffering till now, they made a surgery and the sutures was terible ,i had to get back after 4 days because of the pain and the… sutures has sloded to the edge of my other teeth. and when igot back they did clean the area again with numbness which was too painful. And after all that I am going back for the third time because i had an infection and theere still parts of my teeth inside. It's lik going there fo buying misery.
Be better off looking up your issues on google than wasteing your hardworking money going to this joke of a place theyll leave you suffering for months till they even decide to figure out what the problem is. Scaling… fee trash, helping you trash, youd be better off traveling all the way to sanford in fargo life or death then going here.
Called about getting a tooth pulled for myself, the lady at the front desk told me they're not seeing any adult patients? But she continues to tell me I could come for a walk in!! I think I'll pass, and everyone should
Seth in the business department was beyond kind and helpful. He helped me to settle my account as well as calmed my many frustrations. We need more Seth's in this world. He deserves a raise as well as a round of… applause. I appreciate you kind sir.
Just don't waste your time here. I've been sick for a couple weeks now and when I had gone to the doctor, I was only sick for 6 days. I was told that I needed to wait until the 10 day mark and I could call and have a… prescription sent to my pharmacy. I called on the 10th day and was transferred to the nurse line. I left a voicemail and a few hours later I called back to see if anyone was available to talk. She said they're too busy and to call the other location. I did and the nurse who answered sent a message to my doctor for approval to send in a prescription. After waiting a couple more hours, I called for an ETA. The nurse who answered said it'd take 24-48 hours to hear back from my doctor. It's been over 3 days now and still haven't heard back. In the meantime I went to Altru urgent care and got a prescription.
Staff are snobby, rude and make you feel really uncomfortable.. and I’m not even a patient! Avoid this place.
Went in as a walk in for a broken infected tooth after being told no by 6 other places, very very thankful to the amazing people working there, was able to get the tooth that had been bothering me for months removed the… same day! Very very patient, understanding, and talked me through everything! I can't thank you all enough for all that you do!
I would give them zero stars because that is what they deserve. Their quality of treatment in the dental clinic is less than stellar.
