STEPS Inc – Apopka (1991 South Apopka Boulevard) Detox and Rehab Services
STEPS Inc – Apopka (1991 South Apopka Boulevard) carries a listing for residential treatment, intensive outpatient and sober living. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
Mental health and substance use are handled together rather than in sequence. Housing support is listed for the months following a more intensive stage. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

STEPS Inc – Apopka (1991 South Apopka Boulevard) Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 1991 South Apopka Boulevard in Apopka, Florida, 32703. The city lies within Orange County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

STEPS Inc – Apopka (1991 South Apopka Boulevard) Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are where patients and families describe STEPS Inc in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the Apopka facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
I was only able to stay at this facility for 2 weeks because it was impossible to reach my psychiatrist and see the status of my meds at Walgreens without my cell phone. Also, they don’t allow benzodiazepines and I take… clonopin for my PTSD breakdowns. I tried weaning off, but I started having panic attacks. I’m very grateful for Steps though. Was able to get clean from marijuana and situation was so uncomfortable that I am never using again! I’m very thankful for Miss Sophie, Miss J, and counselor Miss Alex for their support and care. Thank you Miss Sarah for giving me a chance. I didn’t graduate, but I feel so much more stable, confident, and happy to be sober. God bless all the mothers and newborns at Steps! Praying for all my friends and peers I was blessed to meet and get to know 💜
I am writing to formally report STEPS IN APOPKA ] for systemic misconduct and unethical treatment of residents. During my time at this facility, I witnessed and experienced several grave violations of professional… standards, including: Professional Malpractice: The facility manager, Jeannette, explicitly stated to multiple residents that she "does not care about patient relapse" as it ensures "job security." This mindset creates a predatory environment that is fundamentally opposed to the mission of a recovery center. Theft and Misappropriation of Property: Personal belongings, including hygiene products and cigarettes, were confiscated and/or disposed of without cause or reimbursement, despite prior approval upon intake. Financial Irregularities: There are significant concerns regarding the management of SNAP benefits. With approximately 80 women receiving $300 in benefits monthly, the facility handles roughly $24,000 in food funding; however, the resources provided to the clients do not reflect this amount, suggesting potential SNAP fraud. You need actual therapy after getting out of this place. The manager JEANETTE SAID THIS TO MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THE FACILITY No one should be told their "relapse is job security." That statement alone is a massive red flag for any oversight board.
THIS PLACED SAVED MY LIFE. It works if you work it! You have to be willing to do the work ❤️ today I’m 5.5 years sober all thanks to this facility.
This program saved my life ❤️
My daughter is a dual diagnosis. She was there 15 days and then something went wrong and she wanted to come back home. She went back to try again and on the second day she contacted me and said they were forcing her to… leave for leaving to get a energy drink from the store. When she became upset and didn't want to leave, they threatened to have the police come and take her away for raising her voice. She left in a panic and left medication, personal hygiene products and some paperwork. She contacted them to try to get her stuff back and they hung up on her and refused to speak to me. 3 of the employees were extremely rude and condescending. A horrible experience from a government funded housing unit with employees who couldn't recognize an addict in the midst of detoxing while experiencing a psychiatric incident 😕.
If you have the choice to go anywhere else i would suggest you do, they are rude do nothing for you promise you things that never happen, they will have you apply for food stamps and then take them, if you are truly… seeking help the way that this place is ran is disgusting and it gives great info as to whey the relapse rate for drugs it terrible because you have people like this who are pretending to help but treat you as though less than human, people might be a drug addict but they do not deserve the attack on their dignity to not even provide toilet paper while simultaneously not providing toiletries and other essential they clearly take their fed funding and do as little as possible #disgusted, if this so called treatment facility would like to discuss the disgusting treatment of my mother i will be contacting news agencies as well as state local and federal authorities as you clearly don't deserve the funding!!
Valuable resource
They were amazing. Not that it was easy but truly got to know who I really was and what I am truly capable of. STILL living a clean life. 10.15.2021
Graduated Dec 10 2016 now have almost 8 years clean. Those green couches sucked but i found myself and that’s all that matters.
Even tho the ethics seemed off there , I stuck it out . I've been sober going on 2 years now and it was the best thing I could have done for myself going to steps ! Ms Ginnette was hard on me but I needed that .
Ask questions, they lied to me and my daughter. She's there now. How dare they do that to addicts. Whose running that place needs to be replaced . Upset Mom . That's been by her daughter s side . All because the courts… are forcing her to go .kick backs ..This place needs to be investigate d shades place
I graduated from this program August 15 2014 still clean and sober today. This place saved my life tho I didn't like it at first... I am thankful!
Their treatment plans are amazing! If I had the opportunity to do inpatient. I would have 100%
I have 5 1/2 years in recovery. Thanks for this place. Love you ladies 🫶🏼
I went to STEPS in Apopka in 2017 and graduated in November 2017. I am still sober today thanks to this place. In fact, many women that went there at the same time as me are still sober today. It works if you work it.
Worst experience. Minimal (if any at all) counseling. You get rewarded for negative behavior, which I found very confusing. Very unorganized and unprofessional. I would rather sit in jail over having to attend this… facility ever again.
