I had a wonderful experience there! The staff was sweet and nice. I had a great time learning about recovery and myself. I recommend this place to anyone struggling
GRATEFUL to have found treatment here! This facility is superb and this review is honest. For anyone reading reviews as I did looking for the place to go to treatment, hear this: go here ! The staff is great and my… experience was beyond what I imagined. Food is great. Place is clean! Plenty of space! Visits on weekends . Movie nights with candy, popcorn, and pop once a week!! Therapists are great , and staff is there for you! I miss and love everyone I met here. They really care about you. We did many activities to remind us that there is life outside of the toxic substances we leaned on. I hope whoever is needing to hear this is reading. You can make a beautiful life for yourself. Start at stepworks!
This place either stole or lost my property very upset with this place.
Why is there no food license or food licenses for cooking food in a kitchen that serves 40ish people? Random crews on cooking raw meat raises red flags.
My name is Keith markland. I just got out of stepworks January 9. I am very grateful they helped me get a second chance because without them I would hate to think where I would be now. I learned so much while I was… there and each and every staff member were there to help me. It has a very positive and uplifting atmosphere. Since I have returned home I am still doing great. I live one day at a time and I use everything I learned there to help with my sobriety. I found AA/NA meetings to go to. I want to thank you all for my second chance at life and I love all of you. I would greatly recommend stepworks because they turned my life around
I love this rehab center. From the moment I got here, the staff were super accommodating and helpful with my needs all the way from detox to programming and therapeutic needs. They were friendly and the services were… plentiful. The food was great and I love the therapeutic rehabilitative environment they provided. Teaching you the skills you need to give yourself basic skills to enter society again like cooking for yourself, doing basic chores, the classes were easy to comprehend.
I love STEPWORKS in Nicholasville, KY. My therapist was Alaina and she was such an amazing, caring, listener when I needed her. She is highly compassionate and intelligent in her field. She knew everything I needed her… for and never let me down. Jen, the Facility Administrator, is such a sweetie. She listened and gave me great advice. The staff is truly emphatic. They have various addiction backgrounds and knew all the right things to say. They gave me advice I will keep with me forever. Duke, the amazing Duke. I will miss that little guy with all my heart. "Puppy!" is such an outgoing ESA dog. He loves everyone he meets and for being 9ish years old is still the king of his castle. He is so loving and a great fit to keep love in the air there. Having Duke there to lend his 4 legged care and compassion makes StepWorks such a loving place. Some might say they wanted to leave or they didn't like being there. Those people didn't finish the program or take it seriously. I wanted to leave numerous times, but after a while it wasn't because of the program, but issues I was having mentally. After talking with the staff and doing the much needed changes to myself mentally, I realized it was me and not them. You have to take the program seriously to benefit from it. You have to follow the rules, be involved with the classes, do your chores appropriately... All to gain what is needed to live the sober life. Don't use the program as a way to have shelter, food, utilities, to meet a lover. You will not gain what you need to keep from being a statistic. Do as your supposed to, and you will leave there a new person and a changed sober person. I did and I'm not looking back. Thank you StepWorks for all you did for me. I'm glad I didn't leave, I'm glad I followed the program and rules, and I know I'll be successful in life when I wouldn't have made it without your help. Love you all!!! Rehab Chick for life!! Amazing facility. The staff are awesome people. I was a mess when I got there and was way less than my best self. The staff gave me grace and space to process without judgement and with respect. They treat you like a… person not a child or an inmate. If you need help this is the place to get it. I don't think I would've made it anywhere else.
I recently completed the 30-day inpatient program at Stepworks in Nicholasville, and I can honestly say it changed my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff was absolutely… amazing—genuine, compassionate, and truly dedicated to helping each person grow and heal. You can tell they really care. This program gave me the push I needed to see a better side of myself. I learned so much—not just about addiction and recovery, but about who I am and what I’m capable of. The environment was supportive and safe, and the connection I made with the other clients was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never gotten closer to a group of people in such a short time. We lifted each other up every day, and that brotherhood was powerful. Stepworks didn’t just give me tools—it gave me hope. I’m leaving stronger, clearer, and more motivated than I’ve ever been. If you’re considering this program for yourself or someone you love, I can’t recommend it enough. It truly works.
Stepworks of Nicholasville was an integral starting point for my recovery journey. I had been trying to manage my alcoholism for the past few years with limited success and finally found the help I needed here. Staff… was fantastic, my counselor Annie gave it to me straight and the support staff was friendly and professional. Review for people that have done this dance before: *smoke break every hour lol *fully stocked kitchen (meal duty rotates amongst clients as a daily chore so the people making your food are also eating it so they always do a good job) *Structured day with some levity at the end of the day (movies, sports, corn hole, basketball) *No more than 2 to a room (I believe) After completing my program they set me up with Roaring Brook IOP in Lexington for continuing care and sober living, the combination of the two has completely restarted my life and I am happy to be celebrating 7 months completely sober as of writing this. Thank you to the staff at Stepworks :)
Step works is a wonderful place to recover. Juanita and Eva are excellent peer support. The rest of the staff is absolutely caring and wonderful at their job. I would suggest using step works as your first step to… recovery. My 30 days there absolutely changed my life. Thank you Steph works at nicholasville Joseph Wilson
The staff is amazing, good food, they teach a lot of good classes, would recommend stepworks of Nicholasville to anyone willing to start their recovery.
Great place
Very helpful caring staff and clients. Blessed to have been able to meet these wonderful people.
Nothing but a glorified homeless shelter. Don't go there with what you need because most of the people there smoke but don't have cigarettes and they will alienate you and make your recovery process very difficult. And… some of the clients are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want by being a disruption and distraction to others that are trying to focus on learning a new
Horrible!! Do not go there to detox you might not make it out!!! The "medical staff" is a joke. I had to leave and go to the ER!!
I was here from August to September. They are amazing. They really focus on the care you need. The staff is very friendly and loving. This is the place where you find yourself as well as your new family. They make it so… easy to find yourself and they are very understanding of the things that come with the disease of addiction as well as the process of recovery.
I absolutely love this place, the staff here are so amazing and they really care about us. I’ve never seen a place like this. If you are struggling, I highly recommend you coming here. You’ll get a new outlook on life.… They have amazing therapist also. I’ve never felt like I’ve had anyone before in my life but Becca, Laura, and Hannah loved me back to life.
This place is not for everyone. Some of the staff, Laura in particular, are irresponsible. She put my life in danger by refusing to call for help and refusing to allow me to call my mom. She also told lies about me and… raised her voice. Went to the ER and they thought it was terrible what happened. She will be hearing from corporate about the incident.
Loved it the best facility. Great program!
I just completed 30 days here and couldnt ask for anything better!! I had a really good experience here and love all the staff!! Thank you so much stepworks!!
I had no idea what I was getting in to when I went to Stepworks. Turns out it was amazing. They know what they are doing. I felt safe sharing and opening up without fear of being misunderstood. I would have stayed… longer if I could have. Many thank yous to the staff!
Stepworks is a great place, they welcome you with open arms. They started helping me with my underlining issues. The staff is amazing because most of them have been in the same place as me and they understand how I feel… and helped me walk through my problems instead of covering them up. I would highly recommend Stepworks as the first step to recovery.
This was the best experience i could have had. This was my first rehab a and I've learned so much and laid a great foundation for my journey of recovery. I would definitely recommend this rehab to anyone in desperation… wanting a new look and new beginning.
This place is amazing best place to get recovery staff the tribe are there for you always
