Sunrise Detox III – Fort Lauderdale Detox and Rehab Services
Sunrise Detox III – Fort Lauderdale appears on the register for detox and residential treatment. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Roslyn has gone above and beyond to assist our family during these most trying times with our young adult-she sat with her at the curb and kept her safe while we worked to get her into the detox facility.
Please people. Listen carefully. This has been a set up revolving door problem for decades. When your loved one checks in make sure you do your homework. Here is how it works. You go to detox. They send you to 1 of 4-5… local rehabs. The point of this when your son jumps rehab sunrise gets your money again. Please do your homework. If you need a detox safely do it then go to a netting please. Will and a dollar is all you need Don’t fill the pockets of big business. Look around the nation for specific rehabs for your loved ones. Trauma. Truth is just do what bill did. Go to a meeting. Go to 2. Don’t let rehabs play games with your loved ones. You’re really the one in control of where your dollars go !!! It’s tough enough for the 1/10 to get well. Don’t let these places fool you. A dollar donuts coffee fellow alcoholics and addicts that know the struggle. You’re paying at these places for babysitting in most cases. If bill could detox and go straight to meetings most everyone could. Just make sure your detoxed professionally. You don’t need to pay people for what AA or NA can do. Pick up the phone. Call another alcoholic. Be of service. Work and go to a meeting. Read before bed. You do all these things u guarantee you as long as you don’t pick up the first you can be successful and the promises can come true. Mommy and daddy can’t will sobriety to their child. But do your homework Don’t be stuck in a office building. Find one in nature. Plus it’s a long way to the liquor store or dealer. Meetings don’t drink get a sponsor listen don’t talk you’ll win a day at a time. But once again. Do make sure your detoxed professionally is safe. You don’t need to be coddled to be in recovery. !!!!! Go far from a place you used and begin a new. Everyone is blessed with god and a 12 step program or church by your side. Don’t keep doing the same thing over again. Research only woman’s or only men’s so the focus is sobriety. Not dating. Your wasting good money for really nothing. Think about it Revolving door and you don’t know this subject as parents. Get reading. Please. Dr Bob. Bill. Silkworth. Ebby They didn’t get coddled and what a success they gave us all.
This is a wonderful facility with a team that genuinely cares. Every staff member I interacted with was always kind and supportive. Dennis, Amanda, and Faith truly stood out—they’re amazing people and such a pleasure to… be around. I’m incredibly grateful for them and for everything this facility has done. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment.
I was there a few months ago The staff was amazing and treated me like a human being I recommend this place.
I used to work here over 10 years ago so this place has always held a special place in my heart, so when it came time that I found myself in need of a detox, Summer House was the first place I thought of! Between the… level of care from the staff, to the food, to the groups, meetings, cleanliness of the facility, etc, this place is top notch! The first couple of days were rough, but they were willing to accommodate my needs and I’ve been feeling much better since.
Staff was kind and accommodating especially the day crew. The. Night crew a little less warm but still helped me out all the same.. Joe the counselor was awesome He really helped me out tremendously and set me up with… after care. He genuinely cares and is a great human being. Easy to talk to, real advice from experience and he just gets it, he’s truly an amazing counselor overall. A real person who actually cares .
Worst place staff is so nasty they have nothing to do to help with recovery the tvs don’t work they have no snacks. Please if you want help this is not the place I’ve been to a quiet few places and this is by far the… worst
Do not go here. I came here coming off alcohol and cocaine and it was awful, I had to leave. Marianne, the therapist, was no help and she actively dismissed me. The whole medical staff laughed and made fun of you.… Lastly, the technician with long red hair constantly laughed at me, made jokes, and was incredibly disrespectful. DONT GO HERE
You'll stay 5 to 12 days. Bring a ton of cigarettes +extra for those without. They don't make daily cigarettes runs. You will be bored to tears. You will Not get help with any personal things you have to take care of.… This is STRICTLY DETOX ONLY!! Be prepared to gain weight. There is NOTHING to do other than eat and smoke. 3 hots...food is good but snacks suck. Most Techs are pretty cool. Therapists are 50/50: depends on who you get. It's worth 3 stars at its best.
Good facilitie I Recommend
This place is absolutely disgusting. I didn’t even finish the tour before I decided I’m not staying there. The vending machines were literally completely empty except for powdered laundry detergent. It’s extremely dirty… and the pictures must’ve been from when it was brand new because I just left and trust me. It doesn’t look like that. I flew from Jacksonville to this place. There was absolutely no way. It has a very jail/ mental hospital lock down feel. Don’t be deceived by Patrick on the phone or the pictures because it’s filthy. It is the furthest thing from a “Luxury facility.”
The nursing staff and techs at night were extremely hateful and racist , they lied and said i didnt want my meds at night denied and nurse named (Cici) huffed and puffed purposely looking away from me and denying my… medication and antibiotics for a spider bite. I told her it's not my problem that your miserable at your job... well so much for that, she sure made it my problem.. the two most racist techs got into my face making me feel threatened, told them to get out of my face, they got closer. Then said you know what I don't got to put up with you. Leave i left by slamming the milk carton I had. THIS IS ALL BECAUSE CICI DIDNT WANT TO DO HER JOB, ESPECIALLY MOST IMPORTANT MY ANTIBIOTICS.
I was discharged from your facility on the 19th of July, yet a week before I suffered dental injury from a foreign object that was inside of the food I was fed. The nurses said that they took a picture and put it into… the computer and the cook also examine the object and cut it with a knife finding that it was part of the green bean stalk, that was inside of the green beans they feed us that day. I wrote a grievance on that day and it was never answered and I suffered tremendously at that time and took medication for it. I am very displeased with the incident that I endured and the the damage to my teeth. I just called shortly ago and was left on hold for almost half an hour with no one coming back to the phone to address my issue and I am highly upset
I am dealing with alcohol addiction and I called this non professional place to get help and as soon as I explained to the man i was speaking to the man i was speaking to that I will have to get my insurance information… from my job he became uninterested in what I am going through and hung up on my twice. Why and how do you do that to a person who told you she is scared that she is going to die. If you need to detox or if you need wellness this is not the place, they only care about money. I am going to talk to an attorney friend and a reporter friend to get this place shut down. There is no way a person is reaching out for help and the representative hangs up on you for seeking help because you don't have you insurance information at the time of the call. This place is irresponsible and disrespectful and can attribute to your drinking or addiction problem. Avoid at all cost. You are not humane to these people just what insurance is going to pay us more. They can care less about you getting better. Money talks wellness walks and not important. I wouldn't refer a lizard to this place.
Angela is the best thank you so much for your help
Highly recommend for family and friends. Great program!
Worst place I've ever been too and unfortunately I've been to many. The pictures are a lie. You are in a tiny room with a roomate. The nursing staff is so rude and treats you like less than human. It stinks like urine… throughout the whole place. The only thing they do is check your blood pressure throughout the day. Insurance scam this place is. Absolutely terrible place. Don't send a loved one roommate. I had a really bad experience there.
Understaffed, poorly run. They sent me home after failing to find the next level of care (Residential/PHP/etc). Refused to call any treatment center other than their own affiliated places. Techs work hard, nurses do… too, but overall Sunrise (Ft Lauderdale) FAILED me as a patient. Playing around with people’s lives like animals for paychecks.
Don’t expect any free snacks here. You have to buy them from a vending machine. The rooms are small and you have to share a TV with another person. If you smoke, bring your own cigarettes. And be ready to share them… with others who will beg you for one every time you light up. The food is okay, but nothing special. The desserts are terrible. The TV room doesn’t have enough couches for everyone. The male staff don’t respect the privacy of the female patients. They barge into their rooms without knocking or announcing themselves. Don’t bring anything valuable here. It might get stolen and you won’t get it back. The patients come from all walks of life. Some are rich, some are poor, some are homeless. You might end up sharing a room with someone very different from you. The place is infested with cockroaches. Enough said. The worst part of this place is the therapist Sandra. She is supposed to help you find a place to go after detox, but she doesn’t do her job. She waits until the last minute to call the aftercare services, and sometimes she doesn’t even do that. She just sends you home without any support. She doesn’t care about you or your recovery. She is incompetent and unprofessional. She puts your life in danger. If you need help after detox, look elsewhere. Find a therapist who knows what they are doing, who acts fast, and who cares about you. Sandra is not that therapist. She is a failure. Recovery is hard, and you need a good therapist to help you. Don’t settle for less. Choose wisely
There is a tech named Andrea and she is by far the best tech I have ever had. Amanda who works in the front office has great customer service and cares about the people there. Because of those 2 lady's I'm sober here… today great job hiring them and keep them on staff. For future clients and personal! Thanks 👭
An absolute scam of a facility. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There is a reason they always have openings while the other legit facilities do not. They commit insurance fraud using incorrect coding so that patients cannot be… transferred elsewhere for rehab after detox just to get more money. This place only cares about money and nothing else. Stay away! Hoping the other reviews I’ve seen stating they are being shutdown is true.
They charged $5,500 for the entire 10-day treatment. My son wasn't there for a single day, and we've been requesting a refund for over 10 days, but no one is responding. Just excuses. No one is taking responsibility.… I'm going to file a lawsuit.
If you need to go to detox, come here. Thank you to all the clinicians, nurses , and staff.
Staff and counselors ALWAYS available to help you get comfortable, kind human treatment regardless, dont forget YOU will be going thru your most difficult time of your life BUT with their help IT WILL BE BETTER I ASSURE… YOU! The best things in life do not come easy. I was there Aug/2022, as of Dec i was already traveling overseas NO PROBLEM, no cravings, still trying to get family/ friends. Dont forget is a process and is easier with help( I “tried” quitting 3 times before on my own- no results). System works for a reason. Thanks to all the TECHs , nurses and counselors.
There is No M.D. at the facility since I was admitted on 7/12 to date thru today (7-18) and based upon what I’ve experienced there won’t be one. Schedule II and III medications are being dispensed by RN’s apparently… under a protocol agreement with an ARNP who herself is working under a protocol agreement with an M.D, Dr. Robert Dr Robert Yodashkin the “Medical Director”. Dr. Yodashkin is from Lithuania having graduated from Vilnius University Medical School. Since I was admitted seven (7) days ago, Dr Yodashian has not been at or in the facility once. Not for one moment. This means that every medical decision, every scheduled medication and every detoxification protocol is being handled by either an RN or an ARNP under protocol agreement with an M.D. I am here of my own free will as I recognize I have a problem and I want to correct it however when handed a receipt earlier today I found this facility charges $480 for what they call a “processing fee “. When I asked about the processing fee and what it was for I was told we charge that every time we charge your credit card. This information was never disclosed to me and had I known that I would have paid for my stay with either a check, a cashiers check or cash. This is a simple fraudulent attempt at charging the customer who in most cases has no idea that the agency for healthcare administration has oversight over this facility. They are defrauding the public with these hidden fees and they are defrauding their patients by stating there is a medical doctor on the premises at all times yet I have been here for 160 hours and counting and there has not been an M.D. on the facilities grounds for one second. Sunrise Detox is located at; 2331 NE 53 Street Ft Lauderdale FL 33308 - someone from AHCA, DCF & the DEA should look into this or they shall continue defrauding the public of their hard earned funds while having RNs doing work that is restricted to MDs only. I don’t want schedule II and/or schedule III medication dispensed to me by a nurse with no orders from a doctor and that is what’s happening with every patient at this facility. I have already seen a woman collapse & had to be rushed to the emergency room. The nurses didn’t even know to check for a pulse or check to see if their airway was clear nor to check and see if there was a heartbeat. The way this facility is being run is dangerous to the public and it is the agency for healthcare administration’s job along with DCF to oversee it. I suggest an inspection immediately.
