The OAD Clinic is a private clinic in Belgravia offering outpatient treatment for alcohol and drug dependence, including a home-based medical detoxification programme delivered by doctors for patients who don’t need a residential stay. Care is provided in person at the Eccleston Street clinic or remotely, and the clinic notes it also sees international and visiting patients alongside UK-based clients, working alongside its wider mental health service for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety and PTSD.
Treatment can include substitute prescribing with methadone or buprenorphine, alongside psychotherapy or counselling, individual therapy, addiction counselling and an initial screening assessment, delivered face-to-face or online. How Much Does Treatment at The OAD Clinic Cost?
For medically supervised detoxification in the London area, market estimates typically range from £7,500 to £22,000 per month, and outpatient-style programmes tend to fall between £1,500 and £4,500 per month; these are broad estimates for the area rather than The OAD Clinic‘s own published rates. As a private clinic, The OAD Clinic is self-pay, and there’s no indication treatment here is available through the NHS.
Contact the clinic directly for an accurate quote, and ask specifically what a home-based detox package includes, whether prescribed medication such as methadone or buprenorphine is covered in the price, and what support is available if the programme needs to run longer than planned.

The OAD Clinic Reviews
Have you or a family member used The OAD Clinic’s services? Sharing your experience, whether as a patient, a relative who supported someone through treatment, or a referring healthcare professional, helps other families weigh up their options.
Beyond reviews, it’s worth checking a clinic’s registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the qualifications of the doctors and psychologists involved. A useful question to ask directly is how ongoing prescribing and follow-up care are managed once an initial detox or assessment is complete.
The OAD Clinic has been an absolute lifesaver for me. A year ago, I sought help for my benzodiazepine and alcohol problems, and their support has been nothing short of transformative. They guided me through a gradual… reduction process, and I’m proud to say I haven’t had a drink in 12 months. Today, I had another session with Mark Kendrick, and I can personally attest that he is a legend. He got right to the root of my issues, helping me emerge on the other side fit, healthy, and with a clear head. I’m still under their care, and it truly feels like being part of a family. The office staff are warm and welcoming, creating an environment where I feel comfortable discussing my addiction openly. I could never have achieved this level of recovery without Mark and the team at The OAD Clinic. Thank you so much for saving my life!
I can’t thank Mark and his team enough for what I can only say has changed my son’s life and mine. From my son coming out to me that he was an addict and literally living a life of hell, stress, and depression to… finding OAD clinic has changed our lives. From the very first meeting with Mark who just puts you at ease and makes you feel so comfortable we cannot find enough words to thank him.. and to all the receptionist well you all are impeccable there’s no feeling of shame why we are there , we were treated as human beings and we thank you all sincerely.. I can’t thank you enough and highly recommend anyone who is struggling with any addiction to contact OAD they will save your life and get your life back on track 🙏
I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of The OAD Clinic. Having recently relocated from overseas to the UK, I needed support transitioning my treatment over here with fairly short notice, and the team made the entire… process completely seamless from start to finish. Mark, my practitioner, has been absolutely exceptional. He is the consummate professional - passionate, understanding, and genuinely takes the time to listen without judgement. Throughout this entire process, I have always felt heard, supported, and treated like a person rather than just another patient. In all seriousness, Mark and his team have genuinely improved my quality of life immeasurably, and I cannot thank them enough for that. I could not recommend him more highly. Of course, it is also worth mentioning that none of this would be possible without the incredible administration staff behind the scenes who make everything run so smoothly and are unbelievably easy to communicate with. Special mentions to Maria, Soraia, and Lauren, all of whom have been genuinely amazing to deal with. Nothing ever feels too hard, communication is always prompt and compassionate, and you can tell they truly care about the people they’re helping. The level of care and professionalism at this clinic is, quite honestly, rare to find. They are the ultimate professionals, and I’m extremely grateful to have found them. It goes without saying - 5 out of 5 stars for OAD. If you’re hesitating to contact them or are even remotely considering reaching out, just do it. You will be in exceptionally good hands.
The OAD clinic is a breath of fresh air in addiction and psychiatric care. I would like to make an edit yo my initial review as I was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2025. The clinic although not treating me for the… cancer were unbelievable, in their encouragements and helping me rationalize my prognosis. They really helped and went above and beyond when the NHS left me without adequate pain relief after an 8 hour Thoracotomy where a lobe of my left lung was removed, they helped liaise with the NHS staff, regarding tolerances to opiates, after NHS left me several days with no relief from chronic pain. I will forever be in O.A.D.'s debt for rescuing me from the chronic pain. The staff at O.A.D. are all top proffesionals, with the right level of care and support, giving patients the ability to really tackle their own demons without undue coddling . The staff are great at supporting the patient when needed, and allowing them to heal at their own pace. There is no over prescribing, which I experienced at other clinics and the staff are really helpful and concerned in a non patronising way. I would recommend the OAD as the best of its kind anywhere, for serious proffesionals with a problem that needs medical intervention. The OAD is the vision of its top Doctor who is probably the most respected practitioner in this field. The Clinic has improved their services from the previous incumbents who meant well but were not as stable and proffesional as O.A.D. They have introduced a dashboard service where patients can easily contact their key workers easily, and perform other tasks in a business like manner. This enables patients to live a life free of the chaos and drama of an addicts world, which would normally fuel the chaos patients often spiral into, making a lifestyle of angst and fear, hurting their family, friends and their employer if stable enough to be working. Once the lifestyle is settled and home and work life stable, the patient can begin to deal with the real problem. I worked in a highly public and regimented position for 30years and the best and most productive time was under the care of the OAD. If you have yourself a similar condition or problem, I guarantee you cannot get better care anywhere in the world. Oscar is an honourable man and brilliant physician unequaled amongst his peers. He is also a very nice guy, personally intervening to solve a problem if he can. The new on-line system can only simpify and enhance the experience. Ken Muir
The OAD Clinic is a lifesaver for travelers limited by take-home medications from their home country clinic. The team is exceptional, kind, and has a clear desire to help. They are prompt when the rare issue arises. So… grateful for the clinic team at OAD!
Dr Oscar D’Agnone, Mark and Soraia are the best. Great clinic.
I will live eternally grateful to doctor DAngone. From the moment I met him he was a kind doctor, who made me feel calm and confident that I was in good hands. During the first appointment the doctor began to work on… listening, analyzing, diagnosing my condition. He listened to all my concerns carefully, he explained to me what was happening and after a process of analysis the doctor diagnosed me and put me in a treatment. He was always there to explain and resolve any doubt, before, during and after the treatment. As expected, I quickly began to feel better and see positive results. I also want to thank the entire team at the clinic, especially Soraia.
Very positive experience. Understanding kind and helpful staff.
I strongly recommend OAD clinic for their expertise, professionalism, speed of action, kindness and empathy. I also strongly advocate for the use of BUVIDAL injection as a way to immediately stop taking opiates or… prescription opioids like Tramadol. It’s like a miracle as you can immediately stop taking the drug you’re addicted to with zero withdrawal or pains, the first injection lasts for one month, then have a fast and easy managed taper off the buvidal itself. I had a major abdominal surgery 10 years ago, and was prescribed Tramadol for post operative pain relief. Before i knew it, i became addicted and carried on taking the pills. I tried many times to taper off, but the withdrawal symptoms were intolerable. I found an illegal source to get the pills. so just carried on taking. i contacted OAD after 10 years of addiction. they saw me on same day, put my plan in place, and now almost magically i can see an end to my 10 year addiction. The entire process is first class including All the staff, from the first point of admin contact, through to the doctor consultation, admin and payment methods, and ongoing medical support. Thank you so much OAD: you are providing a truly amazing service and i am thankful that i found you.
Dr. Oscar and Laureen in particular were both very nice and helpful in getting my medication. Everyone in the clinic was just so kind and they made the process very much straightforward. I appreciate everyone’s help at… the clinic and I would definitely recommend this clinic!
I had a very frustrating experience with an ADHD assessment here. Firstly a mental health professional does the assessment for an hour before you are seen by the psychiatrist, which is strange to me as the whole point… was to get a psychiatrist diagnosis. When I brought this up to Doctor Oscar Agnon he compared it to the practitioner 'taking the blood test' and him doing the diagnosis - but that is not an accurate portrayal of what happened. In any case, they ask very basic questions, so not sure what the point is - I can go through them myself, and if I had it that obviously I would have got diagnosed as a child, I was looking for adult ADHD. What bothered me most is when I asked Dr. Agnon any questions he did not give clear answers at all - indicating he did not understand my questions (which were not complicated - for example, enquiring about the structure of the session). When I didn't understand his confusing answers, he put it back on me i.e. that I was obstructing the session by not answering his questions, when in fact he wasn't answering mine. I found his attitude patronising, and unprofessional, and I also don't feel he understood quite a bit of what I was saying. I wish I went to a different Dr for diagnosis.
To whom it may concern, A couple of weeks ago I found myself in an absolutely awful place. I had been in recovery, from my own mental health and substance misuse issues for well over 20 years. Due to an unfortunate… series of events I started using drugs again, just to cope with what I was going through. I approached Doctor Oscar D'Agnone, and his Non Medical prescriber Mark Kendrick who gave me a rapid appointment for assessment. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I have been with the whole process. In many ways, because of what they did and how they did it, I am in no doubt that it saved my life. Confidentiality was and still is very important to me and they have remained absolutely true to their words, ensuring that only those that need to know, know that I am in treatment. I would not hesitate to recommend the OAD, Doctor D'Agnone and Mark Kendrick to anyone undergoing anything similar. I believe the the service that the OAD offer is second to none and I cannot even imagine finding anything the comes close in terms of quality, safety, being well led, being very effective in everything they do, going the extra mile in, not only, demonstrating but ensuring a seamless no wrong door approach to caring, being appropriately and safely responsive. By ensuring that the right person is in place at the right time ensuring a seamless and timely response is offered as much as is physically possible. As far as my own personal experience, of the OAD clinic has been concerned, I can do nothing other than give personal praise and gratitude because they really could not have been any more effective in helping me achieve my goals/aims/ambitions/dreams. Quite a lot of the work we have undertaken together has, because of my own personal commitments, been undertaken outside usual working hours. Personally I have found this so highly person centred, trauma informed and harm reduction focused. My first few assessment type appointments were done in the evening around 6.30/7.30 PM which suited me fine. Working in this way, in my own time within my own space, has really helped and I honestly could not have committed to anything done differently. I really do hope that Doctor D'Agnone, Mark Kendrick, the rest of the clinic and their current ethos will continue. It is a much needed resource and, for people like myself, is absolutely crucial. Should you require any further information please contact me. Many thanks PS
I attended the OAD Clinic in London on numerous occasions and were met by kind and well informed people who helped me on my journey into recovery. Highly recommend 😊
I’m very pleased with OAD. Especially John and Dr mark they went out of their way to help and made me feel really comfortable. Great team keep up the good work guys. Would highly recommend. 5 stars all the way.
Outpatients program available, professional staff ,not expensive! Fast service. Thank you OAD clinic !
The OAD clinic has literally saved my life. I have been with them since 2018 and wouldn’t change for the world. They are friendly, helpful and never judge. Amazing place and would highly recommend them. You will be… welcomed with a smile. Thank you and see you later this month. Nathan
It can be daunting seeing a psychiatrist. Not Oscar ,he was empathetic explained concisely, which resulted in me feeling Confident that I can self manage my condition . I've seen many psychiatrist Dr Oscar puts one at… ease with a complex condition is bipolar depression.
The OAD saved my life literally- Doctor Oscar Agnone and his clinician Jordana Lawes and the entire team were WONDERFUL- they got me off narcotic dependence and enabled me to restart my life. They are the best… organization: efficient, professional, patient and incredibly kind and caring. I am so so grateful to them and I reccomend them highly!
The clinic have been so helpful. They have made the service they provide friendly and professional at the same time. They don’t just deal with the one issue, they try to help the patient deal with the underlying reasons… for their illness. After receiving treatment from several clinics in the past, OAD is beyond comparison, their services are above any other we have received. Would highly recommend.
Must say i can get throw normal day now with help from Doctor in clinic to live pain free life get on with my as my GP would not change my meds afrter been on zomorph for 18 year so thanks very much with helping me live… life without cronic pain. Say anyone make appoment go have a word with the Doctor see they can help as they make my living a lot better.
The OAD team are fantastic, very attentive and understand the challenges you are facing, I spent a number of months in there care and I cannot highly recommend them enough
15 years of different clinics in different countries, so I definitely have enough info to compare to. This is the best clinic I've been to. This is the only clinic I actually enjoy coming to. Everyone is so nice and… accommodating. There's never any looking down on anyone, it's actually the opposite. The doctors are good, I actually learned a few things about addiction and I thought I knew everything by now. And it's in a nice neighborhood (which is always a plus and is pretty rare). I'm so lucky that I found them.
Absolutely disgusted. Firstly the Dr told me he was not going to wear his mask because “he’s had the jab” UNPROFESSIONAL and against the government advice. After taking a while to carefully explain about my mental… health I was told I need “talking therapy” £500 to be told I need to talk to someone. I knew that! which was why I was there. So I politely questioned what I wasted £500 for? He very kindly didn’t take this personally and explained calmly. I then went on to explain my feelings in a little more depth, explained to him why I firstly felt uncomfortable with him unlawfully making himself exempt from wearing a mask but also my thoughts on why I did not want the immunisation ect. Just so he could get an insight on my way of thinking and my “why” He then recommended me to see an “alternative therapist “ but then went to comment “but don’t worry that will be free as he’s going through AA” Call me paranoid but I don’t know if the free part was a dig at me for questioning the price of his service if you can even call it that ! More a dis service if you ask me. I went for a diagnosis! I did not get one. Just a recommendation for a chat with a recovering alcoholic. I then called to express my want for a diagnosis. The Dr didn’t call me he got his assistant to. Well we don’t want to label you but if we have to you have BPD with traits of narcissistic behaviour. Then followed on to say that the man in AA was not able to offer me any help because those in AA have to do male on male or visa versa. They said they would try and find one but yet I have not even been contacted since to be made aware of no such success. Take from this what you will. But to me it’s not just the £500, or the time spent getting into London. It’s the lack of thinking outside the box instead of following the work books. And by law it looks like they’re not even complying with that. I hope this saves someone else from such sheer dissatisfaction. As this experience would have definitely propelled some into trigger. NOT ACCEPTABLE
I engaged with OAD at the beginning of the year for their Buvidal treatment after struggling with class A drugs for over 20years. Looking back now I was doing it more to appease my long suffering parents rather than a… serious attempt to finally stop as I was incredulous about how successful it would be. You see, I have done it all before and bought the T-shirt, to no avail! However, as soon as sat down with the doctor, I could sense it would be different this time. And as for the amazing young lady who was there from the first enquiry call I made to the last email she sent to my local agency so I can carry on what OAD started with my state funded clinic - she truly has been so diligent I feel guilty for not having got her a present! ( I hope this review will suffice ) It is now April and I have been free from opiates for 4 months! That is longest period of abstinence for me in the last 20yrs. At the risk of sounding like a cliche- it has literally changed my life! You could even go as far as saying it saved my life when you take into account the fact that last year I spent 5 weeks in the hospital with a ‘staf’ infection that I contracted from a dirty needle. For anyone who is serious about stopping and doesn’t have the extortionate amounts of money that some clinics ask for, OAD is not only the best choice but is also the logical one! And as a bonus you still get all trappings of what you’d expect from a private clinic in Chelsea i.e beautiful offices and classy ladies :-) but seriously guys; life’s too short to be waking up every day with withdrawals because by the time you fix yourself up there’s not much time to do anything else!! Just go and talk to the doctor and then you’ll see what I mean! Thanks OAD - everything positive that I do from now on can be traced back to you!
Without the help of this clinic over the past few years I don't know where I would be. I can't recommend them highly enough. Regards Simon
Was promised that my disorders would be assisted with and they have gone against all of the propositions offered to me before I was charged. I am now in a position which has made my life difficult and distresssing.… Extremely unhappy.
The staff here are amazing. In my cases anyway, they've been patient, kind, helpfulon and most importantly non judgemental whilst going through what can only describe as a trying period. They are one of the only clinics… offering buprenorphine via injection which has been such a life saver for me and helped immensely and far more than oral method would've done. Saved /saving my life and highly recommended of looking for help to overcome any problems may have. Thanks guys
