I’m writing this review with the intention of offering honest feedback rather than simply being critical. This is regarding communication specifically with scheduling not about their counseling services. I had a… confirmed appointment with Oz, complete with a scheduled time and a link to join the session. I was looking forward to starting therapy and made time in my day to be present and prepared. Unfortunately, the appointment never took place. I waited at the scheduled time, but no one joined the session. The appointment was clearly confirmed, but there was no communication beforehand to indicate that the session would not be happening. Only later did I learn that there were documents that still needed to be signed (not merely reviewed) prior to the session—information that had not been clearly communicated to me before the appointment. I understand that administrative steps are often necessary before beginning therapy, but I believe it’s essential for those expectations to be clearly laid out and, more importantly, for communication to be timely and transparent—especially when someone is showing up for their first session. I received passive aggressive communication how it was “not a problem”. Then, I was blocked from logging onto the patient portal. For a service that’s aimed at helping people, it’s very discouraging to show up to an empty session and be immediately blocked after a complaint. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I do believe this could have been avoided with clarity and communication.
