Shanika Francis, Whoever you are, your behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. Calling the office demanding patient information while disregarding the established process for obtaining parental consent is… unacceptable. The rules and procedures are in place for a reason and must be followed. No one is going to be able to assist you if you continue speaking to staff in that manner. Please take the time to understand and respect the proper procedures before contacting the office again. Thank you.

ZERO STARS : Shanika is the most unprofessional and non compassionate person I have ever met. She was condescending, asking questions that had nothing to do with our session, asked me why I was Even seeing her when I… have A provider already and I explained That I was Looking for someone to listen and help me with my medications because my current provider isn’t doing that and she did nothing but waste an hour of my time and wait until the hour was up to tell me that she cannot take me on as a patient. She should not be practicing at this place because she is not good at her job or with people at all.

The women’s group at Total Family Solutions with Patricia, Erin and Carrie Ann was an uplifting experience. Because it was in-person, it provided a safe, compassionate, and confidential space for women to share openly… about life’s challenges. Hearing others speak about similar experiences was eye-opening and comforting, and it helped me feel less alone in what I was carrying. I always left feeling encouraged, inspired, and lighter. This group was truly a much-needed escape from the busyness of life, and I’m grateful for the support and connection it offered.

Let me start off by giving this provider a Negative -0 star⭐️ When I met Shanika for the first time, I knew right from the start it would be my last time seeing her! I felt like she wasn't willing to listen to me. I… told her about past medications that have given me side effects and I specifically said I won't take any antipsychotics or antidepressants until I do a cheek swap test that checks how my DNA will react to certain meds!! I felt misled when she told me she will prescribe something for sleep. I asked her if that would only be for sleep until I do the cheek swap test. She said "yes". After, when I saw what she prescribed it was NOT just for sleep, it also treated bipolar and schizophrenia. She said this test costs three hundred dollars and didn't think my insurance will cover it. She told me to call my insurance and ask them and she gave me the number to call Genesight testing to see if Medicaid will cover the test. I told her I am not a nurse or a doctor and should not be calling anyone. She caused me nothing but stress and aggravated my bipolar! Patients can't order this test themselves so it was useless for me to even call! I guess I had to do her job and was not feeling well to be making these calls. She was not compassionate at all, I felt very rushed with everything and couldn't concentrate. Then out of the blue she asks who's our president but I thought I heard her say who's your president. I said my president? She rolled her eyes🙄 and said OUR president loudly! I said TRUMP, (btw) yes I voted for him! 👊🇺🇸 I truly feel this nurse doesn't like her job and felt frustrated or we just didn't vibe at all! There is a saying, if people don't match your vibe, change the people not the vibe and that was the best decision I MADE cancelling her!! I must say Jazmine T was very nice and listened patiently to me. I don't recommend this facility. I would run🏃‍♀️ away as fast as you can! ✌️

My therapist Lisa has truly changed my life. Walking into therapy with trauma felt overwhelming and honestly scary, but she became a safe place for me when I needed it most. She met me with patience, compassion, and… understanding in ways I had never experienced before. She helped me face things I didn’t think I was strong enough to confront, and because of her, I’ve been able to heal, grow, and find strength within myself again. She is more than just a therapist she is a blessing. If you are struggling, I can’t recommend her enough. She genuinely changes lives. With a smile and such passion to be a help. She is overall the best I’ve had other therapist and none of them compare to her , her heart is in it 1000% ❤️

Over the past 2–3 years, my son and I have had an incredibly positive experience with Total Family Care Solutions. From the very beginning, the level of care, professionalism, and genuine compassion we’ve received has… made a meaningful difference in both of our lives. My therapist, Christian, has been a consistent source of support, guidance, and understanding, helping me navigate personal challenges with clarity and confidence. At the same time, my son’s therapist, Keana, has created a safe, nurturing environment where he feels heard, supported, and comfortable expressing himself. Seeing his growth over time has been truly reassuring. What stands out most about Total Family Care Solutions is their commitment to individualized care. They take the time to truly understand each client’s needs and approach treatment with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Communication has always been clear, and the entire team has been responsive and accommodating whenever scheduling or adjustments were needed. Their support has been instrumental in helping both of us build emotional resilience, strengthen communication, and maintain a sense of stability during challenging times. I’m genuinely grateful for the role they’ve played in our lives and would highly recommend their services to any family seeking compassionate, high-quality therapeutic care.

I started going here about two months ago and i am enjoying my experience. My therapist Keana is lovely and so kind. All of the staff are beyond friendly as well. I recommend this place!

I would prefer to give 0 stars. Very young, very inexperienced therapists here. Please watch your back as a parent here! Plenty of disgusting things I can say about this place!

If possible please avoid this place. I was seeing Christian before and he was amazing kind, understanding, empathetic. Everything a therapist should be. Unfortunately he went on leave and I started seeing Paula. 2-3… weeks into seeing her she called DCPP on me because I was feeling suicidal. Nothing changed from when I was seeing Christian to when I started seeing Paula, I felt the same, spoke the same way, and Christian never believed I was a threat to my children. So if you’re a young parent or parent in general please avoid!!! I explained what happened to my new therapist and at my intake for an IOP program and even they said what she did was wrong and that she made a bad judgement call. They also advised me that a wellness call would’ve been more fit in my situation than calling child protective services since I never once mentioned or hinted at anything that might’ve made me seem like I was a threat to my children. This place also has no receptionists, not saying like it is a bad thing, but it’s kind of hard to communicate with this place. I wasn’t sure if I had a session or not since it was a holiday, never got a call to let me know they were closed for the holiday. It’s always a hit or miss, they either call you like 7 times in a day to remind you of your appointments or don’t call at all.

Total family solutions has been just that for my family . We all are healing and learning together.

I have been taking my boys here for sometime now. The service has always been great. They have always worked with what the boys are struggling with. They make great suggestions on how to continue helping the boys while… they are home. It's always calming and clean. They work wonderfully with both mine and the boys schedule. I would definitely recommend this place for other parents as well.

I have been working with Total Family Solutions for 8 years! They accommodate you according to your needs. Very helpful and wonderful therapists and psychiatrist! I was able to learn great coping skills and improve my… mental illness by a lot thanks to Lisa Sanders! Also was able to regulate it with the amazing help of the psychiatrist Dr. Mathias. They are there for you at any time of the day and night, specially when your mental health gets a hold of you. I highly recommend this place.

TFS has been a huge instrument with helping me cope with my depression and anxiety. (Along with prayer of course). TFS is safe place and judgment free. My therapist is Lisa Sanders, who happens to be Absolutely Amazing!… She listens and provides adequate advice and coping skills. When I first started I was barely getting out of the bed… and now I’m dating, working, traveling, helping my family more often and the list goes on. I don’t want my sessions to EVER END! Lol Thanks TFS for helping put a smile on my face again. Therapy is essential in today’s world. I highly recommend TFS… you won’t regret it!

2022 update: I have now seen several therapists here including interns; all have been incredibly professional, empathetic, caring, and helpful. Out of all the therapists I’ve seen in my lifetime (which is a lot LOL 😂)… these have been my favourite and I have been the most productive in healing and progress! They have accommodated my many health issues as well with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and immediately switched me to telehealth via video chat or phone call. I have also appreciated the ongoing cooperation with coordinating and sending paperwork to other medical professionals of mine; everything was sent safely and securely and accurately. I also appreciate they were understanding of my medication allergies and issues re: my medical conditions, and I did not feel pressure to take psychiatric medication that made me uncomfortable. They listens to my concerns and advocated for me to find my best option (and we have.) Thank you for that! All staff I have spoken to via email or phone have been professional and friendly and courteous. (Review for Avenel Location) Office staff is very kind and helpful; whenever I have called to make, change, or cancel an appointment they are always attentive and professional. Initial new patient paperwork is e-mailed to you and filled out online so you have less to do in person. I am an adult patient at this office so I cannot personally attest to care for youth patients, but the doctors here seem very friendly and warm towards any kids I've seen come and go while waiting. My initial intake visit was with my therapist and a social worker intern (my permission and consent was asked and required in order to have the intern present! therapist was quite clear that I could refuse if uncomfortable!) The initial visit was a personal history of personal life, physical illness and mental wellness/illness symptoms, etc. I felt comfortable from the first visit and thought the intake evaluation was thorough and fair. The therapist that I see here is very flexible and accommodating, kind, empathetic, and friendly. When my therapist was out of the office for illness or personal matters, I found the office to be very communicative. During any times that my therapist was unavailable to see me or had to cancel, a member of the office staff called and gave me a mental health check-in call. I was also offered an option to see any other therapist that would be available for me if I had any personal emergencies or felt that I couldn't miss a session. I appreciated this extra step for my well being and care plan. My therapist has 3 month evaluation check-ins for me as well, where we go through my management and treatment plans to make sure I'm achieving goals or what needs to be adjusted. Having been through several therapists and group practices in my lifetime, I can say I have been most satisfied and comfortable here. I appreciate the extra steps and level of care. There is always clear communication, appointment reminders by e-mail/text/phone calls, and I've never had my privacy violated or felt disrespected whatsoever. Pulling into the plaza where the Avenel office is located can be a bit confusing -- if you're coming from the St George side of the plaza you'll want to look for the "PEACH TREE PLAZA" sign and the little blue sign for a drive way that says "PEACH TREE VILLAGE" (or something like that) if you miss the GIANT peach tree plaza signs lol. It'll be on the left side as you pull in to the parking lot which is one way from the front entrance. (Watch out for some senior citizens who don't seem to notice that parking lot directional sign of ONE WAY lol!)

I received my appointment very quickly and I have no problems with the staff when calling. They are calm and polite.

I currently receive counseling here from Raelyn. I have had a great experience with her and felt she really listened to what I brought up and offered helpful solutions and is just really personable. While she was on… maternity leave, I briefly met with Shelly who was also really great and personable as well. The building has suffered some lighting and air conditioning. However, the staff has also been really great and are not rude at all. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is considering. The negative reviews written do not at all measure my time here at all.

Unprofessional, talk about their clients, a lot of bad energy from this place. Don’t take your kids here.
