VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System – Fort Wayne Detox and Rehab Services
VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System – Fort Wayne carries a listing for detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Supervised withdrawal comes first, with the greatest danger in the opening seventy-two hours. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System – Fort Wayne Reviews and Ratings
Nobody knows a treatment program like the patients who went through it. Their reviews of VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System in Fort Wayne, and those of their families, are collected here.
Healthcare workers and referrers who know the facility are welcome to add what they have seen.
The doctor in the ER is highly intelligent. The staff care and do their jobs well to perfection. I felt more looked after here than any other hospital. God Bless.
1 star because i can't put anything lower, I thought i was supposed to get care. All i got was discharge papers after over 4 hours. No help with meds, If I die this weekend the VA is to blame.
I had a very poor experience with Nurse Dawn at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System. She was extremely forgetful during my visit and it honestly felt like she just didn’t care about me or my concerns at all. As a… veteran relying on the VA for care, this level of indifference is unacceptable and left me feeling completely neglected. I hope others don’t have to deal with the same thing.
They need to hire people just to answer the phones!!! Most of the doors need to be made more handicapped accessible. There is always someone struggling with the bathroom doors.
Depending opon who sees you
Always a positive experience
Always get great care at Ft Wayne VA. I was admitted earlier this year for 4 days and the Dr's, nurses and general staff were kind and caring. I'm glad they are there for us veterans.
In and out, friendly people and good in environment
Very professional care given here to qualified veterans
I have an SRDI went in for a reviewI feel that the VA reviewers are biased against us it's easy to seeI just got deniedAgain! They don't want to believe you
We came in from Alabama and the medical service in Ft Wayne has been exception. Now getting VA medical service and couldn't be happier with the service and doctors at this VA medical hospital.
I've had nothing but poor experiences at the Fort Wayne VA. I've spoken with and seen the advocate multiple times but nothing ever happened. Most recently I was trying to get a dermatology appointment but had a bad… experience and ended up going to a dermatologist with my private insurance. I called and made an appointment and verified that I would be seen and photos taken same day. When I attended my appointment the nurse stated that I would have to make a follow up appointment to have photos taken and then a third appointment if the dermatologist determined that I needed to be seen. I stated that I verified when I made the appointment that photos would be taken the same day and the nurse said they would not be taking photos and there wasn't anything she could do and sent me to the advocate. The advocate took my complaint and that was the last I heard from them. I ended up getting an appointment with Fort Wayne dermatology and they were great. I don't wish VA health care upon anyone. All of the complaints about the VA from veterans is warranted and it very disappointing that veterans health is not a priority.
VA Hospital has been a great provider of primary care and emergency care. They've taken great care of me.
They almost killed me.
I’ve had a few MRIs and other things done here in Fort Wayne and always have great care.
Just get private care. Too many headaches
Been with the VA almost 20 years, ,have never had a problem seeing the doctor, getting tests done, or having surgery.but I'm really worried about the future because of this piece of crap that's in the White House now
They've been taking care of me for years and I keep going back. If they can't fix you, they'll find someone who can.
NP Belinda Smith is sent to us soldiers from The Most High. She is very personal about her career and is extremely easy to confide in on all areas of life and health.
I've experienced a Doctor never looking at me when asking questions about my health, and scripts costing money from the pharmacy that I don't get charged for through my private insurance.
Any chance Dr. Burger could have someone in her office return patient's calls? Any chance the VA in general could let people actually call their doctor, instead of "relaying messages" to them through some half-baked… call center person with an attitude? Any chance the VA could actually hire people who don't just do whatever they want, with zero fear of losing their job?
I've been in 4 different states and this VA is the worst! Dr. DeBello in primary care is terrible. He won't refer you for anything. He thinks he knows it all. And if you get community care he will still block their… referrals. Complaining to anyone does nothing. The dental clinic won't answer there phone or return your voicemail. A lot of the community care are the same way.
