VA Portland HCS – Bend Reviews

Yet another VA clinic that could care less about the nomadic "homeless" veterans. Nothing but a complete run around with transfers to other people who just do the same and transfer you too. And the dreaded wait time… with each new transfer. Over an hour of holding to find out how to get glasses is truly ridiculous! Especially when no one can even answer THAT question for me with a two hours wasted of my time. Travelling and dealing with different VA clinics is a constant issue but this clinic wins the award for not giving a s**t about nomadic "homeless" veterans because you are NOT from THEIR area. Definitely starting to think all those "We love our Veterans" signs all over Oregon and in each county are complete bulls**t and just for show!
The nurse and the primary care physician were very friendly and thorough. I received appropriate referrals for followup care and was seen in an appropriate amount of time. Telehealth interactions have been great. It is… very convenient to be able to text/email my care team from the VA app. I was responded to in less than a day. I recently also had an audiology appt and the Dr. was great. I am very happy with my care at the Robert Maxwell clinic in Bend.
Excellent medical, optical and audiology services for veterans... much better service than I have received at other VA clinics.
Needed urethral catheters - forgot mine in Boise. Went to this VA on Friday the 2nd and they were closed and there was no way to contact someone in an emergency. None of the pharmacies in Bend sold them and the hospital… there refused to help me.
Great staff who show genuine and sincere concern for their patients. Positive and uplifting environment.
Excellent VA services
Will not let me talk to MY VA DRs. Insists on going thru operator that CANNOT connect. Call keeps going back to her instead . SYSTEM SUX !!!
Very weird. I went for a rash and tried to explain it and what has and hasn't helped but she cut me off and started trying to give me a flu shot and COVID shot. My wife went to another doctor at another clinic for the… same thing last year and they prescribed what this doctor was trying to prescribe me. It didn't work for her. So, I was trying to get to the blood test for mycotoxins, allergens, and liver / kidney health tests. These tests helped my wife identify her issues and she completely healed herself through natural healthy diet adjustments. So, I don't trust this clinic. The doctor went crazy after I didn't want a flu shot. And didn't want to hear anything I said.
The providers have been very thorough and amazing:)
The VA is every bit as good as the private sector. The people who complain in my opinion are ungrateful and self loathing.
They now have Primary Care Providers, and so far I really like mine and the nurse.
Get your lackluster, woked-out, insufficient, lame, shameful, embarrassing, vacant veteran support here!
The entire staff here is incredible. They take really good care of us vets. Special shout out to the wound care unit. Thank you for being good to me and taking care ❤️ of me. I ❤️ my Bend VA!!
They rock!
Blood work done and a shot zip-zip gone
Being new to the VA Health Care System, I wasn't sure what to expect. Most of the stories that I had heard were less than favorable. I was pleased to learn just how wrong those stories were. I have been treated with… nothing but courtesy and respect as a patient. And I am awed at how easy it is to get an appointment that isn't months from now, like it is with my private providers (Summit Health, are you taking notes?).
I have used the VA Clinic in Bend for a number of years. Their level of service is exemplary in all areas. I’m so very glad we have such a great team we can rely on for our medical needs.
Got some sawdust in my eye Saturday, the eye clinic was able to work me in today (Monday), to make sure I don't have a scratch on my eye.
I have been with this VA clinic for several years and every person at this clinic have been nothing but top notch. Same Doc for the whole time. Best Doc I have ever had ever.
This clinic is wonderful. Excellent staff, courteous conscientious and professional. Do be aware of the front guard! An overly zealous, rude and disrespectful individual. I don’t know his name as he wears no… identification and refused when I asked him.
