Wedgwood Christian Services – Grand Rapids Detox and Rehab Services

What Wedgwood Christian Services – Grand Rapids offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Mental health and substance use are handled together rather than in sequence. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Wedgwood Christian Services – Grand Rapids Address, Location and Contact Information

Wedgwood Christian Services – Grand Rapids is located at 3250 36th Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49512. Grand Rapids sits in Muskegon County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Admissions lines are frequently busiest early in the week, which is worth knowing if the first attempt fails.

Kimber and his team have been absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, they have shown genuine compassion, professionalism, and a true commitment to helping our family. Kimber is an incredible therapist who takes… the time to listen, understand, and make you feel supported every step of the way. His kindness, patience, and dedication have made a real difference in our lives. The entire team creates a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable and never judged. It's clear they truly care about the people they work with and are passionate about making a positive impact. We are so grateful for Kimber and his team. If you're looking for therapists who truly care and go above and beyond, I can't recommend them enough. Thank you for everything you do! ❤️

I'm thinking about checking this place out. Ever since my mom past. Things have changed for me mentally and physically. I'm hoping they will take Medicare. I still want a second opinion. Maybe I speak to my primary… doctor at metro in 36th Street and see what he thinks.

Since when did they hire people who should be patients as behavioral techs. Makes absolutely no sense. Like the blind leading the blind. Or is that some sort of “Christian”service you offer.

Don’t understand why but I’ve called this place many times and leave messages and they don’t return them nor answer their phones during reasonable hours. Hopefully someone their fixes it because many families out here… need assistance and information.

This groupfrom Wedgwood has lawn care service and show up early at the servants community church in GR with no consideration for the neighbors making as much noise as possible. Sure you have free service, but you fail… to consider the neighbors and it sucks to be us. Still killing my flowers along my fence and laughing about it. How awful of this group of people. There is an elder woman right next door, who has to be exposed to all this. Waking her up early every Saturday with all sorts of yard equipment running at one time with a group of kids and their leader in control. So inconsiderate. With no remorse as to being a nuisance. I wish it was the leaders mom then she wouldn't.

There is a serious lack of communication within the company as well as those making referrals to the company. No psych dr, hasn't been for quite some time. Had an appointment in October to see a psych dr, an hr before… the appointment I was called and told the appointment was canceled EARLIER that month when the policy changed. Dr's should recommend a place for psych meds if there's no dr there to see.

I was a patient in the Riebel program from June 9th 2023 to July 17 2023 when I ran away. There was never enough staff for the staff client ratio. Kids were never allowed to express emotions. You were told you were… dumb, rude or disrespectful if you talked about your past, like we didn't know. We were there to get help and change, but they just made us feel worse. kids had been there for a week, 3 months, 6 months, 10 months, year and a half, three years nobody seemed like they were getting help. I saw the therapist 2-3 times in my 38 days of being there which was supposed to be 1-2 times a week. Staff stated they were only there for the paycheck "and it's not much anyway". They also filmed fights between the other girls in my program instead of helping. They filmed me having panic attacks and self-harming and repeatedly asked "are you done yet?" Made you wear sweatshirts and sweatpants if you had scars, you weren't allowed out of your room if you had open wounds. They told me one of my assaults was my fault and I should have prevented it. Would put on church services every sunday and made you pray before dinner even though they said they didn't force religion, but told you to "just ignore it" if you didn't want to listen. My plan was six to nine months and they told me they knew I wouldn't have been able to do it. I fought a staff, grabbed her keys out of her hand with another girl, broke 2 boys out and ran away. We ran from police and stayed in woods. They later found me at 28th and division and brought me home. I went to court and was sentenced to a juvie program. I got out in two months, was one of the top 3 to complete the program and am way better than before. i was terrible before, but I just got worse at wedgwood. If juvie was better than this place that's saying a lot because juvie was awful. Not nearly as bad compared to this place.

We have been VERY happy with Wedgewood until yesterday. My son was seen by a new doctor who was very unprofessional. She didn't answer his questions, messed around with her jewelry, acting like she didn't even want to… be in the meeting. My son is 12, he was very upset at the end of the meeting as NONE of his concerns were addressed or answered. She also stated that she was leaving at the end of the month and didn't know who or when they would have a new doctor. Hoping whom ever they hire will be a better fit than this person.

i was in wedgwood from when i was 16 to my 19th birthday, it was the only time in my life i was/felt important and appreciated, i get emotional sometimes thinking about how lucky i was to have been placed here, i have… been going thru a lot sense i left almost 2 years ago but i thank everyone at wedgwood for placing a healthy foundation that i wasn’t used to and for it being based about Christ bc toward the end of my stay i decided i needed to live for Him, i was really struggling when i first left but them placing the foundation of Christ that lead me to deciding to follow Him ended up saving my life, thank you guys for being the family i never had. i miss that feeling and will never forget the love y’all showed me. ❤️‍🩹

I lived in Wedgwood for a while 4 years ago. As a kid I thought that the place was terrible. That the staff didn’t understand. That the food wasn’t good. LORD WAS I WRONG!! After being placed in other residentials I… soon realized that Wedgwood is the resident that treated me the best. The place is amazing AND CLEAN the staff made sure we kept up with it> thank you guys. The staff did understand and truly cared about us> I deeply appreciate y’all. And the food welllll if you were in Antonini then you were blessed with staff who knew how to season food> y’all are amazing. I miss you guys so much I hope you’re all doing good. Thank you for your love and support. Btw I have a group chat with about everyone I was there with. Gotta support and uplift eachother ❤️

I don't think it's right if grandparents send a gift to child resident and this facility withholds as a punishment. Holding back the love parents and grandparents share with them. Totally wrong. The child should receive… the gift. What kind of people run this place. Im a Christian I would never do this
