WhiteSands Alcohol and Drug Rehab – Tampa Detox and Rehab Services

WhiteSands Alcohol and Drug Rehab – Tampa appears on the register for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The record shows integrated treatment rather than one problem then the other. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

WhiteSands Alcohol and Drug Rehab – Tampa Address, Location and Contact Information

215 West Verne Street, Tampa, Florida, 33606 is the address held. Tampa sits in Hillsborough County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Remote appointments may be possible where travel is a barrier. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

If you want to fall into drugs again, just talk to EVAN THE WORST OF LIFE. . Negative. To help he has no compassion or human empathy. I'm calling asking for help my daughter. Since the beginning of the call it was… negative and rude over the phone Also he said he was going to talk to a supervisor and that the supervisor said no. When I talked to Chris, he said that there is no supervisor on duty. That his name is Ruan and he won't be there until Monday. EVAN said that the insurance is NOT GOING TO PAY . I told him DID YUU CALL THE INSURANCE?? He very rude response NO MAM, but the insurance will not pay . He didn’t call INSURANCE. And I don't even check it. I was crying with courage. As for me, people don't care about anything. The only one who called and helped us was Chris DONT GO THERE PLEASE!!! If is like that on the phone i can’t imagine there . .

Ms Alicia at hyde park is known for misusing her authority and withholding people's medications as a punishment when personalities clash. She skipped me twice for med pass - once Friday when she told me to step away… from the window to give someone their meds that wasn't even their before me. This person showed up 15 minutes later and I have time and dates to prove this .and the 2md time she skipped me was this morning,Sunday August 30 2026 at approximately 6:15 AM. I called her anal and she told me to leave the window ,that she wasn't giving mey meds til she chose to because of my comment because I didn't want her to touch me to put my blood pressure cuff on when I can put it on myself which isn't against any policy. Her actions of using withholding medication as a punishment is ILLEGAL and goes against patient rights. To be in any treatment center you should learn the laws and policies that govern the staff, yourself and the treatment center itself. Don't let staff do whatever they want to you just because they think your nothing but an addict and number. I will give props where it's due but Alicia is a staff member that will back up other staff members even when they're wrong.Alicia takes the cake for doing illegal disciplinary acts as a way to assert her authority. Be careful when you're here or any treatment and learn the things that will protect you from a potentially seriously harmful situation.

White Sands is by far the best rehab I have ever been too! The place is really nice and clean! This is a really good place to get sober . The staff here is caring and very professional. They were very helpful throughout… my stay! Great community here! I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs some help getting sober!

This place is considered a luxury rehab? 😂 that’s a joke right. They turned a nasty motel into a rehab while hardly doing any renovations. The therapist I had was trash. The food was trash and trash was pretty much the… theme for this place. I had a PPO plan and still wasn’t able to see a doctor. Only nurse practitioners. But people with marketplace insurance got to see a doctor on a weekly basis. They split the groups up into 2 groups “based on your insurance” which made no sense but whatever. I could go on and on why this place isn’t the place if you are looking for care for yourself or a loved one. I was sexually harassed during my time there and my belief is they felt so comfortable to do that because anything goes at this place. Again, not the place if you are looking for long term recovery. Most of the people have been there multiple times and keep coming back so they can pick up a new love interest not because they are looking for help.

I have been to several treatment facilities, and by far this was the best experience I’ve ever had. From the residential program in Plant City to stepping down to PHP in Hyde Park, every one of my needs was met from… detox through discharge. I am now continuing my recovery journey in IOP and OP, which was strongly recommended to me early on, and I’m grateful that I chose to follow the full continuum of care. The staff is amazing. They genuinely care about their clients, and this program has truly changed my life. My discharge coordinator in Plant City encouraged me to step down to PHP when I was resistant and unsure if I needed it. Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for her persistence. She helped me see that I deserve a better life, taught me to give myself grace, and reminded me to trust the process. Miss Amanda, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but thank you for making me believe in myself when I couldn’t believe in myself. Thank you for pushing me to continue my treatment even when I didn’t want to. I know I wasn’t always easy to work with, but your support, encouragement, and honesty made a lasting impact on my recovery. I will always be grateful for everything you did for me. ❤️

I want to thank this place for giving me a new perspective to life and for saving me from the wrong path. There are a lot of activities and things to do as well so you won’t get bored during your stay and the staff is… always there to assist you whenever you have any questions or need assistance with anything.

I had a really positive experience at this rehab facility. One of the best parts was the strong sense of community among both the staff and the clients. Everyone was supportive, welcoming, and genuinely cared about… helping each other succeed. The activities were engaging and gave us meaningful ways to connect, stay motivated, and focus on recovery while also having fun. The environment made it easier to build friendships and feel like I wasn’t going through the process alone.

Please read! Do not send your loved one here unless you want them to be able to talk the staffed Doctor into getting them back on drugs they aren’t even taking anymore. My loved one has not done opiates in over seven… years and they decided to give him Suboxone (sublicate) because he “asked”. Now he is re-hooked on opiates Just by simply telling the doctor, he was an opiate addict prior to this but not a timeline of when, he was not asked.. they gave him the medication (the worst part is he asked because he WANTED to be on drugs, and by not doing their due diligence, he was prescribed it regardless of not needing it, his whole family is beside themselves). There were no drug test to show he was on opiates at all whatsoever. He had no opiates in his system at all. He has been there for about three weeks and they have not drug tested him since the first day. I actually think they have not done a drug test at all.. I know and heard stories about people having drugs inside the facility and the staff is not paying attention the way they should, patients have their personal phones from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM which allows them to have complete access to the outside world all day long. I think we can also say that our loved ones shouldn’t have their personal phones for that long of the day when they’re trying to get off drugs and away from people, places and things. Most addicts will hold on to their old/bad friends or suppliers, past relationships that are going to keep your loved one sick and stuck in their past, asking for an easy relapse. This is a revolving door rehab 100% - they get paid by medical codes on certain prescriptions and Suboxone is an extremely expensive medication and so are the other meds hes being seeking there in the rehab facility) even though, remember, he was not an active opiate addict beforehand, (hes just homeless currently and needed a place to be safe) and they prescribed this anyways and hes nodding out all day every day. Before he went, he was on zero drugs and needed behavioral help, but THEIR ULTIMATE GOAL IS NOT to protect the patient and/or help the patient, but they are just acquiring more and more money they keep the patient’s on these prescriptions even though theyre getting re-addicted. This Is a very common way to keep drug addicts sick in Florida And has been happening for a very long time. There are facilities here that do not allow this stuff and would be way more apprehensive to prescribe medication’s and actually look at the prescription history of the patient before prescribing them something that could potentially or very likely hurt them in the long run.BUT ULTIMATELY, save yourself the heartache and choose anywhere else for your family member or loved one!!

My experience here was deeply disappointing and honestly disheartening. This facility presents itself as a place of healing and support, but what I encountered felt cold, rigid, and lacking in compassion. Recovery is an… incredibly vulnerable process. People come in needing understanding, patience, and guidance—not to feel like they are being watched for mistakes or treated like a problem to manage. Unfortunately, the environment here felt more focused on rules and control than on actual care for the individual. There was a noticeable lack of empathy in how situations were handled. Instead of feeling supported through challenges—which are a normal part of recovery—I felt dismissed and unheard. It’s hard to make progress in a place where you don’t feel safe, respected, or genuinely cared about. Treatment centers should prioritize people over policies. When compassion is missing, it undermines the entire purpose of being there. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment to carefully evaluate whether this is the kind of environment that will truly support their recovery journey.

This place is truly one of the best in the country, hands down. The experience here is nothing short of incredible, thanks to the amazing staff who genuinely care about every person that walks through the doors. The… therapy sessions are powerful and meaningful, and therapists like Jennifer make a huge difference with the support and guidance they provide. Case managers like Khamila and Trey go far above and beyond, showing real compassion, love, and dedication to helping people succeed. The staff and techs make you feel welcomed and at home from day one. Ted, Tristan, Stephanie, Alicia, Danny, and Julianne are always there to help with daily needs, treating everyone with respect, kindness, and understanding. It’s the kind of environment where you truly feel supported every step of the way. They even provide transportation to church on Sundays for anyone who wants to attend, which shows how much they care about supporting people in every aspect of their lives. Lunch is provided daily, the living spaces are very comfortable, and the group rooms are conveniently located right next to the housing. On top of that, they provide $65 in Walmart gift cards each week for food, in addition to whatever you may have from food stamps or your own funds. I will always recommend this place to friends and family who may ever need help. The support, care, and sense of community here are truly life-changing.
