The receptionist is incredibly rude, catty, and does not care at all about helping people get their needs met. Will not be moving forward just due to her bad attitude.
TLDR: Staff member projected their trauma/experiences onto me. Not trauma-informed, traumatizing. Despite seeking out help for myself, I was treated as though I was lying or being dishonest about my alcohol/mar*juana… abuse. I was treated as though I must be “trouble” or “in trouble” somehow (trouble aside from the substance abuse I was struggling with I mean). The woman (named either June or Judy, I can’t remember which) spent more time grilling me about if I’d ever stolen from anyone or been arrested than she did asking why I use or why I want help. I don’t even know if she DID ask those things. I know they need to ask these questions, but she was pushing them so hard, it felt like she just didn’t believe my answers. She said “well, the UA will show us” dismissively when I denied using any other illicit drugs. I started crying at that point. She then proceeded to try to scare me into jumping into their program by telling me *AND I QUOTE* “if you don’t do this, they WILL take your son away. Like, it WILL get to that point, trust me.” Before sharing that SHE experienced that herself when she was in active addiction as a young mom?????? I burst into tears again and started having a panic attack, as something happening to my child is my biggest fear. I’ve never abused or neglected my child, I’ve never been in any kind of trouble, I’m not a criminal, I’m not violent, I’m not out of control, I’m not a ‘tweaker’ or a ‘junkie’- I’m a young, stressed-out single mom who went to her doctor begging for help, saying “I just don’t want to feel like I have to smoke a bowl or have a glass of wine to distract/relax enough to spend time with my own child. I just don’t think that’s normal.”, and was directed to Willamette Family. I left the consultation so shaken up and scared of getting in trouble instead of getting guidance that I stopped looking into treatment centers entirely. After a rocky couple months following this experience, I have been keeping myself sober, alone, for seven months now. Sadly, I have relapsed, and in looking for support “anywhere but Willamette Family”, a relative helped me realize how inappropriate and dangerous this entire interaction was. I can’t help but feel angry, and wonder if I would still be going strong if I had been met with any of the care and support I deserve. Giving three stars to keep it middle of the road, as MY only experience was bad enough that it stopped me from continuing services, but that means I don’t have knowledge or an opinion on the quality or effectiveness of their programs or the rest of their staff.
A great place to get help for addiction issues. If you're willing to work hard, Willamette Family will work hard to help you.
Horrible staff, one of them made me breakdown in tears
PHONE NUMBER LEADS TO NOWHERE AND ISNT CORRECT
This dynamic organization has helped many individuals turn their lives around . Not only providing detox centers and providing housing services. But medical care and counseling services.
Entered WFC on July 25th 2021 and I had the best experiences even during covid they kept the place running and my treatment plan was on spot I learned a lot about myself and I'm proud to say I graduated at 61 days and… continuing in IOP. If you have a loved one that is wanting treatment and wanting the care that I received from doctor's appointments to medication to manage drugs and alcohol to Great classes and wonderful counselors and wonderful staff all around and awesome food then I would recommend WFC
Great place changed my life!
This place hands down. The best. Best staff caring considerate they go above and beyond. The only part I miss about living in Eugene is all that willamette family had to offer. Would recommend to all.
Wonderful place to get sober!
Always Very Lovely & Comforting staff to be around. When I’m there I feel almost like I’m home.. & yes, it is a lengthy process but that is only because they are very thorough because they want to see that you get ALL… the help and resources available to you. Also they have a ton of people walk through those doors everyday so in my opinion the RAC is amazing, & I appreciate all the time you dedicate to all of us, you’re saving lives everyday. Thank You.
I had a wonderful experience at Willamette family I completed 15 weeks I've been clean and sober for eight months now and plan on staying that way the rest of my life life is too short being messed up all the time you… miss out on a lot of precious memories the staff was wonderful I really like my counselor she was great
The sweetest most helpful staff. Beyond thankful for their help with getting my daughter on my insurance plan and other great pointers on getting my daughter the help she and I need.
Super long wait already by 8:45. And neaby parking is limited or metered. Apparently don't take appointments. Giving 3 stars because the barrier to entry was too high and I wasn't gonna sit there forever. I'm sure the… service is fine otherwise. I just feel bad for the people who are having a crisis.
This place is wonderful. I go here for primary care. The doctor who is nurse practitioner is actually present throughout your appointment unlike at most doctors offices. You also don't have to wait three months for an… appointment once you are a patient. Overall it is the best place to go for regular checkups or if you are sick. They really care about you there
I have worked with or I am the patient of Dr. Gin Park and nurse practitioner Valerie Thomas. Great women probably the best doctor with bedside manners and care and concern that I've ever worked with
