I was a client here and stayed for 3 months. I honestly only had the intention to stay 1. Each month I agreed to extend because this place was worth it. One of my character flaws is perfectionism and I could complain… about some small issues, but honestly that's irrelevant to the support and care I received. After detox, I was assigned the absolute best therapist I have ever had and several amazing recovery coaches that helped me work through my personal issues, legal problems, and my FMLA so I had a job to return to. I learned more about mental health, addictions, and coping skills then I ever expected. I met lot of amazing friends that I still keep in regular contact with since my departure and most of the staff are incredibly loving and caring. Food and facility cleanliness was also great. Overall, I had my ups and downs, but was shown to overcome them and have been thriving more than I had in a long time before arriving to windmill. God always keeps my life "interesting", but I'm glad this place came into my life.

Amazing community including all the staff and residents. Windmill opened my eyes and allowed me to trust others. Vulnerability was easy here, and I was able to become rigorously honest with myself for the first time in… many years. I’ve been driven by fear throughout my life and I was angry most of the time. Windmill has taught me humility so that I can accept life completely on life’s own terms.

I was there for one week just recently. Yes they were upset that I was leaving, however, I learned a lot within that week. I learned that I can set boundaries for myself, and also know that I was only drinking because… of the pain they were causing me. Rehab is never a beautiful place and I am not very well with hourly structure. The only downfall of this place is not having enough time to reflect . However, I take God with me 24/7 wherever I Go and I live the best life I can with boundaries. Thank you Windmill Wellness for the time that you spent and the classes that I took within that first week. The group of people that I bonded with that first week, were the most amazing people I have ever met in my entire life. 🙏🏼✝️❤️‍🩹 However, I do despise the fact that all the phone numbers that windmill wellness provides leads to only area 🙄

I believe that this place is special and is equipped with the right tools to handle any problems that come your way if you’re willing to put in the work and commit to the process. The staff is great and the community is… top notch overall, I wouldn’t have picked another place for a wellness center if I had to choose one.

This place was incredible. I could not have imagined a better place to begin my sobriety. No city noise or traffic, fresh air with all of the trees. They take our blood pressure every day and mine was constantly on the… calm side 111/69. The techs create wonderful environment. Whitney always use to say "Goodmorning sunshines" and thats what my mom use to say to me, so it was really special, and then i heard later why she says it and how special it is to her, too! Curry and Josh were always a calm strong presence that made the environment feel safe and welcoming. And in general the techs always have a great attitude and willingness to support and help anyone. I heard whispers and tales of this person named, Sarah K, and i didn't know who she was... then I arrived to "Clean Living" after about 45 days, and there she was the "infamous" Sarah K. She immediately told me during our first conversation "Why are you hoarding all this knowledge", and i was so taken aback i didnt even ask how she knew my inner thoughts, i just said "No one wants to hear it!" and "why me?". She helped me find a part of myself i had always been reluctant to engage with. As well has helping me overcome many other hurdles that i ran into. My counselor, Alyssa, was super important to me. She always had something useful to say about whatever i had been dealing with. One of the biggest take aways "You can do A, you can do B, and that still doesn't guarentee you'll get C" that works for everyone, but it was in reference to video games changing how i view the world and effort. And Coach, Coach was such a special man, i am so glad he exists, there not many words i can use to explain him. It was such a gift being able to go there and see him, meet him and talk with him. I only wish i could have broken that rowing record for him, i blame nicotine, but it was also my lack of wanting to run consistently. I'm so thankful to Jules for allowing my dog to stay there with me, not only was it extremely important for me, it was for her as well. My dog had developed 3 benign bumps over the last year, prior to going on in Oct 2025. When she left, two of them were gone and the last one was only 30% of what it was. I can't say exactly, but i know what i think, and i think it was the entire place, all of the people, my dog being greeted by 30 people a day, being outside, me having almost no stress. She relaxed because i was, and i was safe. All i can do now is Thank God everyday for my sister sending me to Windmill "against my will". If i had any advice... enjoy it. No worries, no responsibilities, nothing to do, but go to meditate, go to group, eat and sleep. Beyond the important substance of the groups, being up all day, building a routine, and staying mentally active all day absolutely helped when i got a job. Now i work 12 hours 3 to 4 times a week (sometimes i add a 5th shift doing labor jobs around the ranch i'm at!) as a Tech myself at a different treatment center... i never run out of energy. Amen.

I highly recommend Windmill Wellness Ranch as a great facility for your recovery needs! They have heartfelt therapy and guidance for people who struggle with addiction and employees that are very kind and knowledgeable.

Windmill is a top tier wellness facility. The employees have the utmost knowledge and experience to relate with everything. I would recommend them to everyone.

The amount of care that this place has to offer is unlike any other kind of treatment you can receive. The staff care about you like family. The services are to the best standards. I spent 103 days at Windmill Wellness Ranch, and the biggest reason was that I didn’t want to leave. The peaceful country setting made it easy to focus on my recovery and get away from the stress of everyday life. The… staff genuinely cared about me and treated everyone with kindness, respect, and encouragement. The recovery program gave me the tools and support I needed to make positive changes, and I always felt like I had people in my corner. One of my favorite parts was the beautiful property. There are great hiking trails, plenty of outdoor activities, and lots of fun things to do that helped keep me active and engaged. It created an environment where healing felt natural instead of overwhelming. If you’re looking for a recovery center with caring people, a strong program, and a peaceful place to recover, I highly recommend Windmill Wellness Ranch.

When I first reached out to this place I was terrified and got cold feet. Multiple members of the support staff continued to reach out to me for weeks until I was ready. They felt like family before I even walked… through the doors. I was given an opportunity that could never be repaid. I was just discharged a couple weeks and still pray about/for the people here every night. I felt more love within the 82 days of treatment than I have my whole life. This is a wonderful place for anyone trying to overcome substance abuse, trauma, and or poor self image. If you need help, this is the place. I found it randomly on Google and it was the best discovery for me. Trust me when I say… if you’re uncertain.. just give them a call. Give Windmill and yourself a chance.

From day one, the admissions and front office… team made the entire process smooth and stress-free, especially when it came to finances and insurance claims. Their professionalism and willingness to help allowed me to focus on what mattered most—my recovery. One of the greatest blessings during my time at Windmill was working with Liz, my therapist. Her guidance, compassion, and ability to help me work through difficult issues made a tremendous impact on my healing and personal growth. Coach, my fitness trainer and nutrition specialist, pushed me to become stronger both physically and mentally. His encouragement and accountability helped me build confidence and healthy habits that I continue to use today. Miles, walked me through the 12 steps like a big brother! Sarah K., my Clean Living lead, was an incredible source of support and inspiration. Her dedication to helping clients stay focused on recovery and healthy living made a lasting impression on me. I also want to recognize Curry, who was truly an inspiration for client advocacy. Curry consistently went above and beyond to make clients feel valued, supported, and cared for throughout the program by taking care of any on and off campus needs. What makes Windmill Wellness Ranch unique is its holistic approach to recovery. Daily AA meetings, Bible study, fitness training, nutrition education, and brain frequency therapies all worked together to help me heal mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The program provided me with practical tools and a strong foundation for long-term sobriety. Not to mention all the fun I had taking trips to the lake and rivers, what a great perk of this beautiful hill country ranch. I am incredibly grateful for the staff, the program, and the experience I had at Windmill Wellness Ranch. The care and support I received helped change my life for the better. If you’re looking for a treatment center that truly invests in your recovery and treats you like family, I highly recommend Windmill Wellness Ranch.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at the Windmill. While not perfect, it was as good as one can ask for. Unlike other treatment centers I have been to, I found many of the staff members to be HIGHLY competent,… particularly Coach Q, Melissa, Alyssa my therapist, Casey, Tony, and Jeremy. In other treatment centers, it seemed the staff was only there because they had no other options for employment. That is not the case here, these people would be successful and have been in many different careers. Eric and Brian the medical providers have been nothing but understanding to my medical concerns and effective in helping me manage my asthma. If you are genuinely willing to put in work on yourself, improve your fitness and mental health, and get a head start on working a recovery program, Windmill has the resources available to you. They did a very good job helping LGBTQ+ clients feel welcomed and accepted as well as military veterans and first-responders. One of the best parts of my experience was the freedom to practice my faith, we had a devotional every morning before programming began and were able to go to church on Sundays. The church they take clients to, Hillside Fellowship, was such a great community that my experiences there encouraged my parents to come to church with me for the first time in years. As with anything, you will get out what you put in. If you’re willing to accept that you have a problem, admit that you need help, and accept that help, you can create legitimate, life-altering change in your life at Windmill. I showed up hopeless, but I will be leaving hopeful and excited for a new life.

BELOW IS A PHOTO OF HOW THEY LEFT ME AND MY BELONGINGS OUTSIDE OF THE SIDE OF A GAS STATION 2 HOURS AWAY FROM MY HOMETOWN. I am sharing this review due to serious concerns regarding professionalism, ethics, and patient… safety at this facility. I was discharged without being given any meaningful opportunity to explain my side of a situation or provide supporting information. The decision appeared to be based on assumptions and another client’s personal opinions rather than an objective or fair evaluation. Personal information I shared in confidence was later used to form negative judgments about my character, which felt like a clear breach of trust. The discharge process itself was unacceptable. I was given approximately 20 minutes to gather my belongings and was then transported and left at a gas station with all of my possessions. No effort was made to ensure I had transportation, a safe place to go, or any form of discharge planning. This level of disregard for a patient’s safety is deeply concerning. I also have documented concerns regarding the handling of my records. A Release of Information form was presented as if I had signed it, despite the fact that I did not. My signature appears to have been falsified, and when I questioned it, I was told otherwise and made to feel as though I was mistaken. This was extremely distressing and raised serious ethical and legal concerns about how documentation is handled at this facility. The only positive aspect of my experience was working with Sara K, who was professional, supportive, and genuinely advocated for me. Her conduct reflected the level of care I expected from the program, and I am grateful for her support. Overall, my experience reflects a lack of accountability, professionalism, and patient-centered care. I strongly encourage others to carefully evaluate their options before seeking treatment here.

Windmill Wellness Ranch is an amazing facility with even more amazing staff. Their approach to rehabilitation is multifaceted and holistic. Support from dedicated therapists and recovery coaches as well as 24-hour staff… combined with individually focused medical, nutrition, fitness, and spiritual aspects provide an amazing impetus for recovery and a strong foundation for continued success. WWR uses a tired approach to recovery, providing care and treatment at all levels allowing clients to develop healthy life skills that will support their recovery and overall wellbeing as they transition back into everyday life. The fellowship and community achieved here continues after treatment with alumni events and open meetings. Recovery is celebrated and remains a continued focus. The staff are knowledgeable and truly care about the clientele. This facility deserves all of the praise it has received and will forever be remembered by me as a cornerstone of my recovery journey.

What can I not say about Windmill! This place has changed my life! I have so long had no HOPE in any type of facility for Addiction and Mental Health. The staff and the facilitators all get you, because they have been… you! Its genuine care,understanding and compassion. This place and the people in the community along with me was a complete different outlook on LIFE. The do not just turn their backs once you leave they stay CONNECTED! Which makes this place BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE! If you need help reach out they are there 24/7! Anyone suffering give them a call it will change you for the better!

I recently had the pleasure of touring Windmill Wellness on behalf of the organization I work for. Thank goodness I did because I immediately recognized it as the perfect fit for a veteran I had been working with. When… I say they went above and beyond to meet this clients needs and facilitate their admission, I mean it. WOW. Every road block we encountered, they took care of. Top notch communication and personalized care that you don’t find anywhere else. The property is gorgeous and nothing Iike the usual “sterile” feeling you get at most inpatient facilities. Truly amazing place with amazing people who actually “get it”

To say I can't give enough stars for Windmill Wellness Ranch would be a true understatement. This place saved my life brought me back my happiness and gave me the tools for a beautiful future. The staff at Windmill have… real life experience and top-notch education to help the struggling no matter what you are struggling with. They really pay attention to you and your situation. They do an excellent job placing you, from your roommates,to your process group, your therapist and recovery coach. That being said if you feel it is not working they will work with you to make you feel comfortable. I've never felt like I've truly fit in in my whole life. I've always felt like the oddball out.Here I found my tribe and We are doing this new happy exciting life sober!!! *Update* Today is April 3 2026 I'm grateful to tell you I'm still alcohol free. Life is wonderful...even though life be lifing sometimes, my attitude toward difficult or everyday inconveniences has drastically changed. I'm still in contact with Windmill friends and will soon be going on an alumni camping trip. Loving life, myself,friends family and above all a real connection with my higher power. Every morning begins with prayer and meditation and a list of things I'm great full for and of course a made bed. I drove myself to this facility, and was not sure I was making the right choice. However, I have never been so wrong in my life. It was early in the morning and the staff adapted quickly to accommodate me. The staff,… fellow clients and atmosphere provided a safe and focused environment. The program is catered to the needs of the clients…a must, since each of us are unique. A multitude of specialized treatments are available and though optional, should be taken advantage of as they provide a well rounded treatment program. The transitions, as you progress through the program, absolutely prepare you for the next steps as you leave the ranch, however you never really leave! I still maintain contact and visit my new family weekly and realize that this program never really ends. We have become a part of something that a lot of us felt we could never be a part of. I and my family cannot say thank you enough to the ranch! Love all of you!

This is why I am giving it three stars. January 9th I arrived, march 8th I left. Windmill welcomes you with open arms, staff and client advocates seem like for the most part to show extreme care to every client that… walks through the door. They do everything they can to get someone on the right track to recovery and have a successful outcome. Most therapists are great. DAVID was exceptional, and that man has helped me understand more about me than I ever understood about myself. Everyone was in a sense a "community".. Involving God was apparent (lords prayer, The Serenity Prayer) but i dont know what God they worship/Serve because the topic of Jesus seemed to trigger clients and staff alike and Jesus was a no go zone. Which was odd to me. Staff and therapists would say "a tree can be your God, nature can be your God, you can be your own God" The things I cannot agree on is how easy it is for someone to slip drugs into the facility through an outside meeting, many times I have over heard clients wanting to slip in LSD, Shrooms, pills, etc. Did they? I dont know i wasnt trying to find out. There's relationships going on in the facility between clients and them "going to the woods" when they have marriages and families on the outside. Not my business, but found it disturbing to witness. They also would have men living in the women facility and women living in the men's facility trying to have trangender people feel included when it ultimately bothered a lot of people and several people have left getting treatment due to it (they had no genital surgery). I wasnt aware that Trans people had more rights than someone that is not. Classes seemed very repetitive about the same subjects due to new clients coming in and going 24/7 (not saying its a bad thing) but a lot of people in recovery tend to lose focus on recovery when all they hear is the same thing day in and day out. If you want drama galore this is the place to be. if you want sub level care tied up as a expensive cute gift to people suffering, send them here. If you like cult like atmospheres this place nails it on the head. And nobody will ever admit to it but the place is haunted by someone or multiple things. Staff call them "good spirits" but what i witnessed and what others witnessed were never good and honestly a little daunting and creepy.

My recovery coach, Tony, was consistently engaged, highly supportive, and instrumental in reinforcing daily structure and recovery discipline. The administrative team demonstrated a high standard of efficiency, coordination, and responsiveness, allowing me to remain fully focused on treatment without unnecessary logistical distractions. The clinical staff, including providers, nurses, and behavioral health technicians, delivered outstanding care with consistency, clinical competence, and genuine compassion. As a veteran, I especially appreciated the culture of respect, structure, and mission-driven accountability that aligns well with military values.
