Youable Emotional Health – Minneapolis Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Youable Emotional Health appear in this section, gathered from around the web and from patients and families who share their experience on RehabSeekers.
went here back in 2017 when it was still Headway. Horrible experience. the staff made my experience hell. they were incredibly rude and unprofessional. on top of that, I was being sexually harassed by one of my… classmates and nothing was done about it. would give zero stars if i could.
Such prompt and excellent care from my son's mental health case manager, Taylor. He adores her and having her in his corner has been invaluable. Thank you so much!
I actually went to day treatment here years ago but I never got a chance to write a review so I wanted to share my experience. I went to Headway from January 2016-October 2017. I was 13-14 at the time and while I was a… client there, an older client (he was 17-18 while we were there together) became extremely enmeshed with me. He started a pattern of extreme clinginess, codependency, manipulation, gift giving, idolization, and eventually I felt like he had crossed the threshold where his actions constituted stalking. I spent months begging the staff to put us on a peer restriction so that I would not have to be in the same therapy process groups and classes as him or at the very least so he couldn’t interact with me. At this point his actions were severely affecting my anxiety, trauma, and my ability to participate in groups. I was granted a peer restriction for one single day and the next day everything was back to being the exact same. During the summer, the clients were driven to and from treatment in vans with groups of 3 or 4 of our peers. Despite all of the attempts to advocate for my safety, I was placed in the same group as the student who stalked me. This meant that every single day he was in the car that was picking me up at my house so he knew my address which made me feel even more unsafe. It also meant that the person who was crossing all of my boundaries had access to me without staff supervision daily. At no point did Headway prioritize my safety and well being over the person stalking me. I highly doubt any of the staff who worked there when I was a client still work there as I knew most of them had left within a year or so of my departure. I’m still choosing to bring this up now because it is extremely important to me that the staff here make it a priority to prevent something like this from happening again. The trauma I experienced was preventable. The adults in charge chose not to prevent it.
I would refer anyone to them they are so helpful
We love you Hua
The mental health case manager is the best I've ever had! She's always reachable, super on top of EVERYTHING, and just the sweetest most kind human being ever!! We're still getting to know the therapist that comes to… our house, but she's easily reachable, on top of it all, and super nice!
Really great program got connected with some really great people.
The services my grandson receives from Youable is phenomenal. The case manager is really on top of everything. Anything that I have questions about or concerns about. She’s able to answer or give me resources for I… really appreciate the company and the service is everything.
They are amazing 😍
Really nice and helpful
My son has received a lot of help from this program. The staff is caring and goes above and beyond their job duties.
Lynelle is outstanding!!!
Our case manager is the best. He is on top of everything that is needed to be done for zyon, meetings, problem solving, emails, texts, phonr calls, checking on zyon's school activties that are is responsibility he does… that. What could i have done without him. He is very flexible and makes time to complete our work. He is the best. I am glad my son is progressing because of him. I say thank you for assigning such a hard working and good hearted person for zyons struggles as a child.
If you are looking for a therapist that will stick around for more than 3 sessions, do not go here. My daughter went through at least 1/2 dozen. It took months to get a case manager and they did not even provide the… services they stated they would. We had to go out and find the information and providers on our own. The provider retention and lack of responsibility for continued care for the clients is absurd. We tried for years and now seeking all outside resources.
Absolutely not!!!! ZERO stars, and not at best. The company could not be more unorganized and irresponsible. They constantly shifted therapists around, so care was inconsistent and unreliable. Without warning, the… clinicians and clients were informed the company decided to pull their contract with the AH school district, and terminate the school-based therapy program as a whole. Clinicians were let go effective immediately and all clients' care was canceled. Clinicians and clients were unable to have a closing session and clinicians were unable to provide clients and their families with any resources or referrals. Youable completely abandoned their clinicians, and more importantly, their clients. Clients who were in crisis now have to fend for themselves or call 911, while other clients who had worked so hard for years with their therapist were suddenly denied services. The school district had absolutely NOTHING to do with Youable terminating the program due to lack of funding or whatnot ; the company was the one who called the school districts to inform them services would no longer be provided effective immediately. What the company did was unprofessional, inappropriate, and completely unethical. Clients should never be abandoned, and that's exactly what this company did, they abandoned each client who were in need of support.
I would give a 0 if I could and I also reviews from myself are nonexistent. This organization used to be called Headway. When I received an email several months ago that the “name was changing but not to worry, the care… and services would remain the same”I held faith that this would prove correct. Headway, is now called “Youable”. Not only did they not allow my sons therapist (who was awesome and whom my son made progress with) to finish off the school year with him with a just a few months left of the school year…(per the therapist request after Youable decided to make “changes” to their structure) I did not even get word from Youable until “after” I received the email the week before from the therapist that Youable would not let him finish the school year with my son. We had to start all over with a new therapist and by the time any progress was made with the new one, the school year ended. No word about continuing services, nothing. Then it becomes even more unfortunate…. I just received an email today 7/27/23 that they pulled their services from the entire Anoka Hennepin School District. This was not due to funding, or a decision made by the district. I was informed from a trusted source that they are very inconsistent with services and move therapists around. They do not allow the therapists to follow through with their clients (the children/teen) after weeks, months, or years of relationships and trust that was built. Anyone that has ever been to therapy, or has had a child in therapy knows how very detrimental this can be for a person. Be very very careful, utilizing the services of Youable. As a mother, it really felt like the mental and emotional wellbeing of children and teens was not a priority and as a parent, that is heartbreaking. My heart hurts for the many other families, children and teens that this will affect.
Noureen, Julie, and the ladies at the front desk were all amazing. You can tell everyone there enjoys what they do and truly care.
They let me know by email that my appointment was cancelled, due to an error on their end. They didn’t call, text or leave a message, they emailed an old email I’m lucky I checked. I might have drove there and been… denied. Maybe you should call people who are already having a hard time in life it’s hard enough having to reach out. And arranged time off work, I can’t even get a simple call back to let me know of the cancellation?? Wow
