Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Bellflower, CA

Bellflower is named after an apple. The Bellefleur orchards that covered this land in the 1900s gave the town its name, though the spelling was simplified when the post office opened.

Dairy farming replaced the orchards, and by the 1940s this stretch of the county held one of the densest concentrations of dairies in the United States before housing replaced them in turn.

The city incorporated in 1957 and is now around half Latino, with Bellflower Boulevard as its commercial spine.

Rancho Los Amigos and the county’s southeast medical corridor sit a few minutes north.

The 91 and 605 pass close, with Lakewood south and Downey northwest.

Los Angeles County recorded 2,298 accidental drug overdose and poisoning deaths in 2025, a 6 percent fall from the previous year and the third consecutive annual decline, according to the county Department of Public Health. Deaths are down nearly 30 percent from the 2022 peak of 3,220, driven by a more than 40 percent reduction in fentanyl-related deaths.

The county’s own analysis found fentanyl overdose death rates nearly four times higher in its least affluent areas — those where more than 30 percent of families live below the federal poverty level — than in its most affluent, at 39.1 against 10.0 per 100,000 in 2024.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

Bellflower carries around two listed programs, with Downey and Long Beach minutes away. Counts come from the federal SAMHSA treatment locator.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox manages withdrawal under clinical observation across several days. Bellflower carries one residential detox program, with four more in Downey and three in Long Beach within fifteen minutes.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential care means living on site for weeks or months. Around one residential program operates in Bellflower, with nine in Downey and 21 in Long Beach nearby.

Outpatient, IOP and PHP Treatment

Outpatient care lets you keep working while attending sessions. Around 25 outpatient and ten intensive outpatient programs sit within fifteen minutes across the surrounding cities.

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Dual diagnosis care treats a substance use disorder and a mental health condition together rather than one after the other. One local program treats co-occurring serious mental illness, with seven more in Downey.

Sober Living Homes and Transitional Living

Sober living homes provide substance-free housing after formal treatment ends. Certification of California recovery residences is by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals rather than the state.

Addiction Treatment Cost and Insurance Coverage

Downey next door carries twelve listed programs and all twelve accept Medi-Cal, which is the practical route from here.

How Much Does Addiction Rehab Cost in Bellflower

Outpatient care within reach runs roughly $1,200 to $5,000 a month and IOP $3,000 to $10,000, with detox at $7,000 to $24,000 and residential at $6,000 to $45,000. Around 36 programs within fifteen minutes accept Medicaid, twelve of them in Downey and 23 in Long Beach.

Los Angeles County provides no-cost substance use treatment at any provider in its network for anyone who meets the criteria, regardless of immigration status, and an intake appointment should be scheduled within ten calendar days of a screening. Medi-Cal is separately open to income-eligible adults regardless of immigration status, and applying does not affect immigration proceedings.
