Top Chatsworth Drug and Alcohol Addiction Centers

Chatsworth occupies the northwestern corner of the San Fernando Valley, against the Santa Susana Mountains. The pass above it carried the stagecoach road north, and the rocky terrain kept it semi-rural long after the rest of the Valley filled in. Listings here are reviewed against SAMHSA data, state DHCS licensing and any Joint Commission or CARF accreditation a provider carries. State licensing is specific to the services a provider may deliver. Start from the Chatsworth listings shown here.

Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Chatsworth, CA

Chatsworth occupies the northwestern corner of the San Fernando Valley, against the Santa Susana Mountains.

The Santa Susana Pass above it carried the stagecoach road to Ventura, and the Old Santa Susana Stage Road still survives in sections as one of the oldest routes in Los Angeles County.

Stoney Point at the foot of the pass is a sandstone outcrop that has been a rock climbing site since the 1930s, used by generations of Yosemite climbers for training.

The Chatsworth Reservoir was drained after the 1971 earthquake damaged its dam and is now a protected wildlife area, and the neighborhood retains large equestrian properties on its western edge.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Devonshire Street and the 118 connect it, with Canoga Park south and Granada Hills east.

Los Angeles County recorded 2,298 accidental drug overdose and poisoning deaths in 2025, a 6 percent fall from the previous year and the third consecutive annual decline, according to the county Department of Public Health. Deaths are down nearly 30 percent from the 2022 peak of 3,220, driven by a more than 40 percent reduction in fentanyl-related deaths.

Chatsworth carries around four listed programs, two of which offer services specifically for adolescents — unusual for a Valley neighborhood of its size.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

Local provision is small, with Woodland Hills and Northridge both within fifteen minutes. Counts come from the federal SAMHSA treatment locator.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox manages withdrawal under clinical observation across several days. Chatsworth carries one detox program, with five in Woodland Hills and four in Reseda nearby.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential care means living on site for weeks or months. None operate in Chatsworth itself; around 13 sit in Woodland Hills and two in Canoga Park within fifteen minutes.

Outpatient, IOP and PHP Treatment

Outpatient care lets a young person stay in school or an adult stay in work. Chatsworth carries around four outpatient, two intensive outpatient and one partial hospitalization program, with a licensed opioid treatment program in the neighborhood.

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Dual diagnosis care treats a substance use disorder and a mental health condition together rather than one after the other. Anxiety and depression frequently present alongside substance use in adolescents, and around 187 county programs treat co-occurring serious mental illness.

Sober Living Homes and Transitional Living

Sober living homes provide substance-free housing after formal treatment ends. For a young adult leaving residential care, structured housing is often what sustains a recovery. Certification is by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals.

Addiction Treatment Cost and Insurance Coverage

Two local adolescent programs in a neighborhood this size is worth knowing about, given how scarce that provision is countywide.

How Much Does Addiction Rehab Cost in Chatsworth

Outpatient care within reach runs roughly $1,200 to $5,000 a month and IOP $3,000 to $10,000, with detox at $7,000 to $24,000 and residential at $6,000 to $45,000. Two Chatsworth programs accept Medicaid and two offer adolescent services, of 57 such programs across the county.

Medi-Cal covers treatment for young people with no premium and no copay, assessed on household income, and family therapy is usually authorized within the same course of treatment rather than billed separately. Los Angeles County provides no-cost substance use treatment at any provider in its network for anyone who meets the criteria, regardless of immigration status, and an intake appointment should be scheduled within ten calendar days of a screening.
