No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Gardena, CA

Gardena incorporated in 1930 and spent the twentieth century known for two things — berries and card rooms.

Strawberry farms covered the area into the 1940s, worked substantially by Japanese American families, and Gardena still holds one of the larger Japanese American populations in the mainland United States.

Draw poker was legalized in the city in 1936 when almost nowhere else in California permitted it, and the card clubs that followed funded a substantial share of the municipal budget for decades. Two still operate.

The city is now among the more ethnically mixed in Los Angeles County, with Latino, Black, Japanese American and Korean American communities.

The 110 and 91 cross here, with Torrance south and Compton east.

Los Angeles County recorded 2,298 accidental drug overdose and poisoning deaths in 2025, a 6 percent fall from the previous year and the third consecutive annual decline, according to the county Department of Public Health. Deaths are down nearly 30 percent from the 2022 peak of 3,220, driven by a more than 40 percent reduction in fentanyl-related deaths.

The county’s own analysis found fentanyl overdose death rates nearly four times higher in its least affluent areas — those where more than 30 percent of families live below the federal poverty level — than in its most affluent, at 39.1 against 10.0 per 100,000 in 2024.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

Gardena sits between Torrance, Harbor City and the city of Los Angeles. Counts come from the federal SAMHSA treatment locator.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox manages withdrawal under clinical observation across several days. Around one detox program sits in Harbor City nearby, with 26 across the city of Los Angeles and 122 countywide.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential care means living on site for weeks or months. Around one residential program sits in Torrance minutes south, with ten in San Pedro and 21 in Long Beach within twenty minutes.

Outpatient, IOP and PHP Treatment

Outpatient care lets you keep working while attending sessions. Around 14 outpatient and three intensive outpatient programs sit within fifteen minutes across Torrance and Harbor City.

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Dual diagnosis care treats a substance use disorder and a mental health condition together rather than one after the other. Around five programs within fifteen minutes treat co-occurring serious mental illness.

Sober Living Homes and Transitional Living

Sober living homes provide substance-free housing after formal treatment ends. Certification of California recovery residences is by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals rather than the state.

Addiction Treatment Cost and Insurance Coverage

Gambling and substance use frequently occur together, and a city with two operating card rooms is worth naming that in.

How Much Does Addiction Rehab Cost in Gardena

Outpatient care within reach runs roughly $1,200 to $5,000 a month and IOP $3,000 to $10,000, with detox at $7,000 to $24,000 and residential at $6,000 to $45,000. Around four programs within fifteen minutes accept Medicaid and eight accept TRICARE.

The California Office of Problem Gambling runs a free, confidential helpline on 1-800-GAMBLER, and treatment for gambling disorder is available at no cost to California residents. Many substance use programs will assess for both. Los Angeles County provides no-cost substance use treatment at any provider in its network for anyone who meets the criteria, regardless of immigration status, and an intake appointment should be scheduled within ten calendar days of a screening.
