Top Valley Village Drug and Alcohol Addiction Centers

Valley Village is small by Los Angeles standards, a residential pocket that separated from North Hollywood in 1991 after a long campaign by its residents. It is almost entirely single-family housing. Each listing is checked against SAMHSA records, California DHCS licensing and, where applicable, Joint Commission or CARF accreditation. Licensing and accreditation are separate, and a provider may hold one without the other. Work through the Valley Village listings below.

Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Valley Village, CA

Valley Village is small by Los Angeles standards, a residential pocket that separated from North Hollywood in 1991 after a long campaign by its own residents.

The housing is largely 1930s and 1940s — Spanish Revival and traditional cottages on wide streets with mature trees, unusually intact for the Valley.

Colfax Meadows on the eastern side holds much of the oldest stock, and the neighborhood has no commercial core of its own beyond the strips along Magnolia and Riverside.

That absence is deliberate. Valley Village fought its way to a separate identity precisely to stay residential, and it remains one of the quieter districts in the eastern Valley.

Magnolia Boulevard, Laurel Canyon Boulevard and the 170 connect it, with Studio City south and North Hollywood east.

Los Angeles County recorded 2,298 accidental drug overdose and poisoning deaths in 2025, a 6 percent fall from the previous year and the third consecutive annual decline, according to the county Department of Public Health. Deaths are down nearly 30 percent from the 2022 peak of 3,220, driven by a more than 40 percent reduction in fentanyl-related deaths.

Small, settled neighborhoods carry an obstacle that has nothing to do with what is available nearby. Where people know each other, the worry about being recognized delays help more reliably than cost or distance.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

Los Angeles County holds around 609 listed treatment programs, 286 of which accept Medicaid and 35 of which are licensed opioid treatment programs — by a wide margin the deepest publicly funded provision in Southern California. Counts come from the federal SAMHSA treatment locator.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox manages withdrawal under clinical observation across several days. Around 122 detox programs operate across Los Angeles County, with capacity in Van Nuys and Tarzana within twenty minutes.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential care means living on site for weeks or months, and it offers a degree of separation from a neighborhood where you are known. The county carries around 222 residential programs.

Outpatient, IOP and PHP Treatment

Outpatient care lets you keep living at home. The county carries around 395 outpatient and 113 intensive outpatient programs, and 442 of its 609 offer telehealth — which removes the recognition problem entirely for anyone who wants it removed.

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Dual diagnosis care treats a substance use disorder and a mental health condition together rather than one after the other. Around 187 county programs treat co-occurring serious mental illness.

Sober Living Homes and Transitional Living

Sober living homes provide substance-free housing after formal treatment ends. Certification of California recovery residences is by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals rather than the state.

Addiction Treatment Cost and Insurance Coverage

Being central in the Valley solves the privacy problem better than being remote, because it puts dozens of alternatives within a short drive.

How Much Does Addiction Rehab Cost in Valley Village

Outpatient care across the county runs roughly $1,200 to $5,000 a month and IOP $3,000 to $10,000, with detox at $7,000 to $24,000 and residential at $6,000 to $45,000. Around 286 county programs accept Medicaid and 181 run sliding fee scales.

Attending a program in another part of the Valley or over the hill is straightforward from here. Substance use treatment records carry specific federal protection, stronger than general medical records.
