Where else in Louisville is treatment listed near Beechmont?

Camp Taylor sits about 1 mile from Beechmont, Louisville and carries listings of its own, making it the closest place to check first. Audubon Park, Seneca Gardens, Bonnycastle and Crescent Hill are also listed separately within Jefferson County, so someone who needs a particular level of care has more than one nearby page worth opening.

The monthly figure quoted for that level falls between $7,000 and $13,000. State licensing rests with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Office of Inspector General and is labeled apart from accreditation.

Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Beechmont, Louisville

Beechmont sits in south Louisville along Southside Drive and Third Street, developed as a streetcar suburb from the 1900s.

The neighborhood holds substantial early twentieth-century housing and Iroquois Park, a third Olmsted design, sits immediately south.

It has become one of the most diverse parts of Louisville, with substantial Cuban, Somali and Nepali populations.

Jefferson County has recorded a substantial decline in overdose deaths, from 585 in the twelve months to December 2021 to 244 in the twelve months to December 2025 on provisional CDC counts, a fall of 58 percent.

Beechmont has been a principal refugee and immigrant resettlement area for Louisville over the past two decades, and that is the defining fact for this page.

Language is the first practical obstacle, and interpretation should be requested at referral rather than discovered to be missing at the appointment.

Substance use following displacement or years in camps presents alongside conditions that were never treated because there was nothing to treat them with.

The neighborhood also holds a long-standing white working-class population, and the two groups reach services by quite different routes.

Neighboring Iroquois, Schnitzelburg and Audubon Park carry their own listings, with the full metro picture on the Louisville page.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

The figures below describe what is listed in Beechmont and the streets immediately around it. Iroquois Park sits immediately south and Southside Drive runs through the neighborhood. The whole metro shares one treatment market, so the Louisville page carries the full catchment. Cuban, Somali and Nepali populations are all substantial in this neighborhood.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox comes first where dependence is physical: a few days under medical observation while the body clears. Around nine providers sit within twelve miles, mostly toward the center. Alcohol withdrawal carries its highest risk in the first seventy-two hours, and where symptoms cannot be described precisely in English they get taken less seriously, which makes bringing an interpreter or family member important rather than optional. Beechmont developed as a streetcar suburb from the 1900s along Southside Drive and Third Street.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential treatment means living at a program for thirty, sixty or ninety days. Around fifteen sit within twelve miles. Where one earner supports several people, the income question has to be raised at admission because it determines what is realistic. A long-standing white working-class population lives here alongside the newer arrivals.

Outpatient, IOP and PHP Treatment

Kentucky places people using American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria, so an assessment should produce a defined tier rather than whatever a program happens to offer. TARC service along Third Street into downtown is frequent, and a program that works in the right language is worth traveling further for. Iroquois Park, a third Olmsted design, sits immediately south of the neighborhood.

Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Around half of people with a substance use disorder also have a diagnosable mental health condition, and treating one while ignoring the other rarely holds. Seven Counties Services is the route for anyone without cover, and refugee health organizations in Louisville have experience of exactly these presentations. Trauma from war and displacement sits behind a substantial share of what appears here.

Sober Living Homes and Transitional Living

Sober living means shared substance-free housing for the months following treatment, and the Kentucky Recovery Housing Network certifies homes voluntarily, so ask directly. Finding a residence that accommodates dietary, religious or language requirements is considerably harder than finding one at all. Refugee resettlement has shaped this neighborhood over the past two decades.

Addiction Treatment Cost and Insurance Coverage in Beechmont

Beechmont sits below the Louisville median, and almost all treatment here runs through the public route.

How Much Does Addiction Rehab Cost?

Medical detox across Louisville runs roughly $1,400 to $4,800 a week, residential treatment $6,000 to $25,000 a month, partial hospitalization $7,000 to $13,500 a month, intensive outpatient $2,600 to $9,000 a month and standard outpatient $1,250 to $5,000 a month.

Cost is a smaller obstacle here than language and trust. Refugee and immigrant organizations in the city can frequently arrange interpretation and navigate the referral, which is faster than approaching a program cold.

Standard rehab and detox, Louisville and the wider Kentucky market
Level of careMonthlyDaily
Medical detox (7–14 days)$1,400 – $4,800 per week$200 – $685

Luxury and executive programs, Kentucky
Level of careMonthlyDaily
Residential inpatient$17,000 – $50,000+$565 – $1,665+
PHP$14,000 – $30,000$465 – $1,000
IOP$9,500 – $23,000$315 – $765
Outpatient$4,800 – $15,000$160 – $500

Does Insurance Cover Rehab?

Yes. Addiction treatment sits among the essential health benefits most plans are required to include. What a plan actually pays varies with the employer, the network and the level of care, so two people with the same insurer can face very different bills. Kentucky Medicaid and Medicare reach a share of this neighborhood, and many residents hold neither.

Coverage and approval are separate steps. Insurers authorize detox and residential admissions in advance, and being out of network is usually what makes a bill unexpected. Immigration status does not determine whether a licensed provider will treat someone, and addiction treatment records are protected under 42 CFR Part 2.

Free and State-Funded Addiction Rehab in Beechmont

Seven Counties Services is the community mental health center for Jefferson County and six surrounding counties, and it is the front door to publicly funded treatment across the Louisville metro. It handles mental health and addiction within one organization and is required to serve people who cannot pay privately.

House Bill 695, passed in 2025, established a public scorecard rating state-funded treatment providers on quality outcomes. It is the most useful single tool a Kentucky reader has for checking a program before committing to it, and no other state covered in this directory publishes anything comparable.

An investigation by ProPublica and the Kentucky Lantern published in August 2026 raised questions about Medicaid billing practices at some Kentucky treatment providers. Anyone choosing a program may want to read it alongside the state scorecard.

More Help and Recovery Support

University of Louisville Hospital is the region’s Level I trauma center, with Norton Healthcare, Baptist Health Louisville and Jewish Hospital also serving the metro.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous both meet across south Louisville, and Spanish-language meetings operate in the city. Community and faith organizations in Beechmont are frequently the first point of contact rather than any formal service. Iroquois, Audubon Park and Schnitzelburg carry further listings, with more across Louisville and Kentucky.
