Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Nevada

Nevada is the driest state in the country and among the most urban, with around ninety percent of its population in the Las Vegas and Reno metros and the rest spread across desert counties larger than several states.

It is also the one state in this directory where overdose deaths rose. Provisional CDC counts show 1,009 in the twelve months to December 2025, against 909 four years earlier, an increase of 11 percent across the seven counties with comparable figures.

Clark County drives that, rising from 670 to 778, a 16 percent increase at a time when most of the country was falling. Carson City is the only substantial decline at 33 percent.

Around 154 licensed facilities operate across Nevada, twenty of which indicate detox and thirty-two residential care.

Almost all of that sits in the Las Vegas valley. Reno, Sparks and Carson City between them, a metro of half a million plus the state capital, have no listed detox provider within thirty miles of any of them.

The nearest detox for much of northern Nevada is at Fallon, a farm town of 9,000 an hour east of Reno.

Nevada expanded Medicaid in 2014, and on 1 January 2026 moved to statewide managed care, extending plans into rural and frontier counties for the first time.

Which Level of Care Do You Need

The figures below describe Nevada as a whole. Because provision is concentrated almost entirely in the two metros, what is reachable from a rural county differs enormously from the statewide picture, and the individual city pages carry those catchments.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox manages withdrawal under clinical observation, usually across three to seven days for alcohol and five to ten for opioids, and it comes first for anyone physically dependent. Around twenty facilities statewide indicate it, and eighteen of those sit within twelve miles of Las Vegas. Northern Nevada holds one, at Fallon. Alcohol withdrawal carries its highest risk in the first seventy-two hours, so where no listed provider exists, a hospital rather than a program is usually the route.

Inpatient Residential Treatment

Residential treatment means living at a program for thirty, sixty or ninety days.
