Solstice Health and Wellness – Sarasota Detox and Rehab Services

Solstice Health and Wellness – Sarasota is listed as running detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Solstice Health and Wellness – Sarasota Address, Location and Contact Information

The site is at 1219 South East Avenue in Sarasota, Florida, 34239. The city lies within Sarasota County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

I have been seeing Dr Melo for a few years now and honestly prefer his care because he actually cares about you and your health, your future and not just handouts of diagnosis. He’s easily accessible and there even by… phone, and he’s helped me immensely. I highly recommend solstice if you’re in need of western medicine but want to actually be heard.

I was a little hesitant to write a Google review about my addiction and recovery, but I honestly feel like I have to so other people know what a massive difference this place made in my life. I really can’t say enough… good things about Solstice Health & Wellness. Dr. Melo and Jessica make an incredible team—they treat you with real dignity, respect, and absolutely zero judgment. I struggled with substance abuse for over a decade. I tried Suboxone strips, methadone clinics, and detox facilities, but nothing ever stuck. Everywhere else I looked, I was told the shots I needed would cost $5,000 a month. Solstice Health completely changed the game. Their membership-style payment model made the treatment incredibly affordable and actually accessible. I know it sounds corny, but the shots literally saved my life. What blew me away was how easy the whole process was. The shots didn't give me mood swings like the Suboxone strips did, and I consistently felt normal all day and night, unlike with the methadone and strips. I was so worried that I would have terrible withdrawals once I stopped the shots, but I didn't. Because of their care, I was able to keep working and keep my daily life functioning completely normally, like nothing was even going on. There was no need for a 10-day detox facility or missing work. I had missed a lot of work while I was dealing with other addiction facilities. I tell all of my friends who have struggled to go to this practice, and one of them is actually a patient there now and doing great. We were both shocked by how easy and painless the entire process was. Honestly, after so many years of struggling, my only regret is that I didn't hear about this place sooner. If you are looking for a practice that offers real support, real medicine, and genuinely cares about helping you get your life back, please give them a try. They are the real deal.

After a few years, I'm still more than happy with Solstice Health and Wellness and am still seeing them. Dr. Melo and his wife remain excellent. Unlike other medical professionals who claim to know about addiction, Dr.… Melo really knows his stuff. That plus his Smart Recovery program is better than AA meetings. He has helped me tremendously on dealing with my addiction. On top of that, he's also a great GP and makes excellent referrals when it comes to specialists. His wife Jessica is also excellent at her half of things. She responds very timely with all requests. Thus overall, Solstice Health and Wellness is a great place to go when you need help.

Dr. Melo and his Professional Team at Solstice Health and Wellness are exceptional in every way. Dr. Melo guided me on my journey to recovery. Dr. Melo stopped my plunge into the world of addiction. Dr. Melo's… non-judgemental manner combined with over a decade of medical expertise is someone that can help you. Dr. Melo has my most heartfelt recommendation.

This is a great practice. Dr Melo is a wonderful physician. Very caring and knowledgeable. He has helped a family member on numerous occasions and they were never made to feel like a bother. His wife Jessica who runs… the front is also super friendly and kind.

I’ve been a patient for 5 years and it’s been a life changing experience. Recovery has been much easier and far less challenging then I anticipated with the support of Dr. Melo. I would highly recommend to anyone who is… struggling with addiction.

Life saver! No exaggeration. Dr. Melo is incredibly compassionate, patient, knowledgeable and available. Medical issues are explained so you have a true understanding. Calls and texts are answered immediately. I have… never experienced a physician even close to this responsive. Makes you feel like you have an ally at your side at all times. Jessica is wonderful too. If you are reading this, you are probably in a bad place. Don't hesitate. Make an appointment and you will be amazed what you will be able to do with Dr. Melo's help.

Dr. Melo is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and best of all, RELIABLE! I appreciate that he only sees one patient in his office at one time and he gives his full, undivided attention to his patient. Dr. Melo was… recommended to me by a friend, after my previous doctor had closed her practice. I was extremely nervous about running out of medication. When I called the Solstice office, I was able to get an appt with Dr. Melo quickly and was assured that I would NOT run out of medication. It was so nice to feel supported in that moment, especially as a brand new patient. It’s been a few years now and I am stabile on a very convenient maintenance schedule, thanks to Dr. Melo!

Dr. Melo has been the most trustworthy Dr I could ever ask for. Him and the staff changed my life. He even has good gym bro advice. I was stuck in the middle ground and just couldn’t stay sober. It’s been over 4 years… now. I couldn’t thank the team enough.

Dr. Melo and Jessica are awesome. I’ve been through a lot of programs and plenty of doctors, but no one’s been this caring or understanding. They helped me get my life back and be there for my kids again. They really… work with you in every way, and try to make it affordable too. Best people I’ve dealt with. Thank you—God bless. ☝🏻🎨❤️ M. They don't take insurance and they work on a "membership" which is like $2,300 a year. This is just insane sorry but you must be pretty doing pretty well in your addiction if you got an extra $2,300 laying around, and… in that case you don't even need treatment. What a joke. 👎🏻👎🏻

Frank was a nice man, but I found his approach to detoxing very guarded. I have been through detoxes for opiods throughout my life inpatient and they always prescribed me Valium. He will not prescribe it with his at… home detox program. Due to this I feel I wasted 300 dollars and got a hand full of meds that didn't work for the pain of my withdrawl. I gave two stars because I believe he means well. But I am dealing with a life or death situation and he did not perscribe me correctly. I am now right back where I started.

My husband was recently treated at Solstice Health and Wellness by Dr. Melo. Every single detail of my husband’s treatment and care from day one was nothing but OUTSTANDING!! From the very first phone call to their… office, speaking to Lili, I (spouse) was treated with kindness, compassion and with dignity, as was my husband. Dr. Melo and Lili were so understanding, they listened and treated my husband and I both with such genuine care, I honestly was blown away. Going through this journey of recovery with Dr. Melo and Lili was like being guided by two earth angels. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Solstice Health and Wellness and I am FOREVER GRATEFUL for all of their expertise and care!!

Amazing! The fine folks at Solstice literally saved my life three times for which I'm grateful! Dr. Melo and his staff are full-service providers who provide a 360 health experience that covers everything and anything… you could imagine. With their friendliness and generosity you'll feel appreciated and safe with their concierge-like care. I've been dealing with the Healthcare industry intensively for 20 years now and unfortunately most doctor's are locked away in their little silos with no communication and coordination between each other. Instead you go to each doctor individually and it's up to you to synthesize the results and manage your healthcare. Solstice on the other hand will do the health management for you which is a huge relief for the patient and makes complex cases far less of a burden. These folks have changed my life so much that I almost feel reborn! A+

I feel very, very fortunate to have found Dr. Melo and Solstice Health & Wellness. Dr. Melo goes above and beyond the norm -- he provides EXCEPTIONAL healthcare. For starters, prior to our first meeting Dr. Melo spent a… considerable amount of his own time reviewing the medical history I'd sent him. I could tell as much, as he came to our appointment having a big headstart on our conversation. We accomplished a lot that very first day. Dr. Melo's a great doctor. Vast medical knowledge. Sensitive. Friendly. And whatever malady I've presented he's understood down to the nitty-gritty and gets me headed toward resolving it. At the following appointment he'll pick up right where we'd left off. Remarkable memory. The practice -- Solstice -- is great. Unlike most doctors who load up on their number of patients and see four per hour, Dr. Melo limits the number of his patients, ensuring that he gives each appointment the time and attention it deserves. I never have to wait several days or even weeks to see this doctor, as Dr. Melo prioritizes providing care when it's needed. Now's a good time to mention Dr. Melo's promptness. Promptness! That's not a misprint, ha. And this is a doctor who takes and returns your phone calls, too. Wow. I'm so appreciative of such things after a generally frustrating 11 years with my previous doctor who over all that time never once took or personally returned my calls. Dr. Melo does. Having discovered Dr. Melo I never want to have to search for a doctor again. The quality of healthcare he provides me is better than I've ever imagined a primary care doctor's care could be. I'd be remiss in writing this review not to discuss Dr. Melo's wife Jessica Melo, a medical professional herself with 20 years, I think it is, of full time experience in the field. Jessica manages Solstice Health and Wellness -- extremely well, from my perspective -- and helps patients in many ways I've yet to experience. The "About" section of the Solstice website explains. I can tell you Jessica's extremely smart, gets things I may not understand done for me, and is about the kindest person I've met. So in conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Solstice Health and Wellness. Dr. Melo's expertise, his personalized care, and his genuine concern for my health make me feel extremely lucky to have found him. He truly is an exceptional physician. -- Erik Wiklund, Sarasota

I have been going to dr melo for the last 4 months and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! My last doctor retired so I had to change, and I’m not one for change so I was very apprehensive but knew I had to make… the choice for a new one. So I started making phone calls, and I got Jessica on the phone, not only was very professional but sooo nice and answered all my questions and helped me ease into this process. My first visit was coming up and I was nervous. I got to the office and finally met Jessica and then Dr. Melo! I definitely made many phone calls trying to find a doctor hoped that the choice I made was the right one, and honestly, I could not be happier! He has dealt with everything I’ve needed with care compassion and ease. I think my favorite part is that I can see him for any and everything and if I need to be referred to a specialist he takes care of that it’s just really nice to not have to see 15 different doctors! He is everything I need in one spot always available by phone communicates everything so that I’m not left in the dark and nothing is a surprise I just could not be happier with my decision to go to him and I plan to have him as my doctor for a very long time so if you’re looking for a doctor that actually cares and takes the time to Make you feel like you’re important Man Dr Melo and Jessica are the way to go if I could give them more than five stars I would!!!

Dr. Melo and Jessica are the most attentive and truly caring primary care providers I’ve seen. Dr. Melo takes the time to understand what you tell him and he explains relevant medical information in language that makes… sense. He helps you improve your health for the long term by encouraging healthy lifestyle behaviors, offering practical advice, and providing a range of solutions so you can decide what meets your individual needs. And if there’s a medical need Solstice cannot provide, the doctor doesn’t hesitate to point you in the right direction or give references. The first time I met Dr. Melo and Jessica, his wife and health coach/assistant, it was obvious they were an excellent and unique team. Not only are they both knowledgeable, but they are actually available when you have a question or concern. When’s the last time you were able to actually call the doctor and talk to him or her directly!? Solstice provides a much higher level of care than the large medical groups in this region. In my opinion, they offer the best primary care available here, and for a reasonable price (some of which you can submit to insurance for reimbursement, depending on your plan).

Dr. Melo and Jessica have been wonderful, both professionally and personally. When I first began care with Dr. Melo I was experiencing physical issues and suffered from extreme anxiety. Due to his attention to detail… and professionalism I am in a much better place than I have been for years, which is a direct result of his care. I can not put into words my appreciation for his help, nor how highly I would recommend him to anyone who may ask.
