Drug and Alcohol Rehabs in Bearden, Knoxville

Bearden sits in west Knoxville along Kingston Pike, between Sequoyah Hills and West Hills.

The community began as Erin, a stop on the Knoxville and Kingston Road, and was renamed for Marcus Bearden, a mayor and state senator, before Knoxville annexed it in 1917.

Kingston Pike follows the old Cherokee trail and later stage road west out of the city, and Bearden grew along it as one of the earliest streetcar suburbs. The Bearden Village district and Homberg Place hold much of the local commercial life.
