Centerstone Hospital – Bradenton Reviews and Ratings
Centerstone Hospital reviews come from around the web and from patients, loved ones and referring professionals who write to RehabSeekers directly.
If Centerstone Hospital treated you or someone close to you, your account would help the next family deciding.
I went to the walk in clinic to get medications sorted out because I just moved from out of state. They wrote down all of my medications and then scheduled me an appointment for today. How is that a walk-in clinic? My… appointment was rescheduled without my knowledge, I have no voicemails or missed calls and now I'm being told to go into the walk-in clinic again. Is anyone going to actually help if I go again?
this place is absolutely awful. my and my partner were trying to call to reschedule my family member inside who went in for trying to commit suicide and every time we would transfer the line would hang up and instead of… explaining to us that you can’t call past 10 the lady tells through the phone “you don’t need to keep calling back, if it sends you to voicemail there CLEARLY busy”. And whenever we would tell them to let my family member know to call us back they would not. The staff would also talk unbelievabley rudely about visitors and patients to other nurses infront of people. they also misdiagnosed my family member. completely awful experience.
I was peer lead and got discharged with no explanation. Do NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS HEARTLESS ESTABLISHMENT 😡
Absolutely incredible physicians and staff. I went through their detox program and HIGHLY recommend it. Dr. Rhyne saved my life and got me back on track back in July. The groups were excellent; I got a referral for… inpatient therapy right away. I got on medications to help with the mood symptoms that I was using alcohol to self-medicate for, and I got naltrexone to help with my physical cravings. I know the rest is up to me, but this facility and those doctors and therapists really set me up for success.
ive been working with centerstone staff for 4 yrs now. They have kept me safe, engaged, and travel to my home every week to deliver meds and check on me. I even have access to their psychiatrist by text and he is… extremely accomodating and friendly. Very helpful.
do not go here & do not send your kids here. i was illegally sent to the pediatric ward as a child. when my mom tried to get me out, they threatened her telling her i would end my life. the staff was verbally abusive… and they did not separate sexually aggressive patients from other (especially younger) patients. the staff was also very verbally abusive. they used racist and homophobic slurs against minors and bullied us. they made fun of a 13 year old girl for not shaving when she’d been there for 3 months and obviously was not allowed razors. they also put me on meds before evaluating me and severely misdiagnosed me. they put me on an antidepressant immediately once i was admitted, i think i saw the psychiatrist once and he basically just asked if i was in psychosis. i was only evaluated when i left. when they DID evaluate me, they diagnosed me with adjustment disorder (which i didnt meet criteria for whatsoever) along with depression & anxiety. it actually ended up being undiagnosed autism and adhd, which they would know had they done a proper evaluation.
PLEASE NEVER GO HERE! I went for alcohol withdrawal it was awful. This place is disgusting it’s dirty I had people stealing my clothes I had people harrassing me everyday I had men coming in to my room multiple times… they did NOTHING! All they do is give you medication and leave you alone there is no therapy nothing and they don’t do shit here. I was constantly harassed it made me want to leave and I was in there voluntarily I checked myself in and when I asked to leave they baker acted me I’m 200 days sober now so I’m posting this knowing what happened I asked the employees for a towel one day they sat there and ignored me. I suffered in here please whatever you do do NOT EVER go to centerstone PLEASE!
This place is awful. One of my family members was there under the baker act for four weeks. NO ONE tried to call her family for her. Complete lack of communication from staff. When she was finally released- she was so… over-medicated she could barely walk or talk. She says she was given aggressive ETOs. She was not stabilized there at all, in fact, she’s utterly traumatized. Shame on all of the staff- medical AND administrative. SHAME.
Absolutely awful, abusive staff, disgusting hygiene standards and little to no genuine help given to patients.
The place was dirty. I was there for 3 days April 2025 and we all had to wear blue scrubs. Not sure why since the website says you wear your own clothes. The nurse spoke about why I was there in front of everyone. I… wasn’t allowed to have my jewelry. The showers were disgusting. I was given my medication and immediately felt like I got a UTI.
This place is such a disgrace. They lost my son clothes twice I'm very upset about it.
Stay far away from the disgusting facility . Patient are often in overflow and sleep in the ground for many knights . There usage of ETO and restraints needs to be audited
Horrible Service "and" even Worst Treatment. Do your Folks a favor and keep them far away from this Godforesaken place.
Aiden Clore is exceptional. He is professional and friendly. He is educated and informative. Takes time to breakdown and explain things so that I understand. Im so happy with him. Thanks Aiden and Centerstone
I was misdiagnosed at first but that was hell, refused meds as it felt wrong. Got the correct diagnosis with a private Psych with Centerstone after Jail had me set up. The Hospital is GREAT for getting out of the house… if you’re a people person like me, at the end of the day you may want a private psych as it’s easy to get lost. Use the Hospital for stays and peace and use a private Psych for Meds.
Words can't say how much I love and appreciate everything you guys do for the community of DeSoto county the wow team are the best the Arcadia center for the needy gives the wow team 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ God bless you all
A quote from the staff "going into a room full of crazies" The roaches were also gross.
This place I one small slice above jail they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help anyone no groups no med change they place addicts with severely mentally ill people worst place ever DO NOT GO SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE
Our family will soon be finally getting justice. The owners husband choked me then called cops on me… they don’t care about any well being there. If they can let a grown man who was over 30’s at the time I was 18… I’m… 4’11… disgrace of a facility
I was sent to Centerstone by my family dr, under the Baker Act, for intervention and treatment for self harm/suicidal. After I was finished in admissions, I spoke with one dr there for about 10 minutes. No therapy. No… treatment. 1. Missed the groups on Friday because I was in admissions 2. No group on Saturday because the group leader came in the day room and announced “No group today. Instead we will go out to the court yard and listen to music 3. No groups on Sundays. 4. Mondays group was for substance addiction. I received absolutely no treatment whatsoever. I could have EASILY slipped into a corner and killed myself without anyone ever knowing it except for maybe the cockroach that decided to share my bed. Other than watching tv or a child’s coloring book, there was NOTHING to do. Nothing to occupy my thoughts. I wanted to be there. I wanted treatment. There has got to be a better facility, somewhere, that actually cares about helping people, not just taking head counts every 15 minutes. This was horrible and scary for me. The only good thing I can say about my experience at Centerstone is that the staff was very kind to me and there was plenty of good, tasty food and snacks.
Centerstone has been an amazing part of helping me rebuild my life after 23yrs of meth addiction. I did a 5 day detox successfully (my first and hopefully the last time I do that) and during that time I was introduced… to the FITT team who helps parents with many different angles of support while I worked on myself while trying to to navigate through a dependency case to be reunited with my children. I was first introduced to my peer support Colleen Abercrombie who did not let me go through this alone and I maintain a daily contact with Colleen still. Todd Snavely a case manager communicated with my promptly all the time and was ready and happy to assist me however he could. Cheyenne was helpful as well and my therapist Teresa was amazing as well. Today I’m just over 18months clean and reunified with my children. It’s been an indescribable experience of how amazing centerstone and its staff supported me and assisted me. Matt in the detox center was great too as he immediately talked to me and did the intake with me and made me comfortable as I was in the most uncomfortable situation I’ve been in so far in my life and that was because I voluntarily on my own went into detox and he was very helpful and got me to stay!
Manatee county Centerstone specifically FITT Department Has changed my life. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for them. They met me where I was at mentally and physically and helped me navigate the road to… recovery. When I started with FITT, I was homeless, On drugs, And had an open dependency case with a goal being adoption. Today I’m 20 months clean I have custody of my daughter and my case is closed I have my drivers license back I own my own vehicle and I have a roof over my head, I have full-time employment. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today If it wasn’t for Annya, my therapist; helping me with my traumas from the past. Todd, my case manager always having the right resources To fix any problem . Yvonne, my peer support always went the extra mile she not only supported me, but She understood me. And Colleen, she wasn’t my peer support, but she was always willing to jump in and help me any chance she could. The entire FITT team is truly an amazing group of people and it’s an amazing organization. if you have trouble with addiction and have an open Child dependency case you need FITT!!!
My experience with Centerstone has been very positive, specially FITT Manatee. My Therapist, Annya Hernandez has helped me acquire indispensable skills to achieve stability for myself and my children, and coping skills… to maintain a healthy mental and emotional state of well-being. The Peer support recovery specialist, Coleen is always available to help me with any issues when it comes to recovery and also is there for me during highs and lows. The case manager, Todd, is always on top of things, making sure Im aware of deadlines and resources in the community. All together this team is a heaven sent; I know I will be successful long term as a result of their dedicated and kind approach to helping me build my life back up and establish a new healthy lifestyle and a positive outlook. I am eternally grateful!
CTC manatee is the best program. Rebekah is the best employee on the team. She really knows how to make people feel comfortable and is great at finding resources.
Staff is rude here
I got off work 1 day.afte. And simply told myself "I am done" Noone. No higher power. Not no school teacher not even my mother or daughter could convince me that drinking or drugs would eff. Wether it be gaming 25 . My… names.Tro
