Rehab Centers in Florida That Accept Medicare

Medicare can pay for many kinds of substance use treatment in Florida, from hospital-based withdrawal care to methadone dosing and weekly counseling. The coverage follows Medicare’s own rules, though, not the everyday meaning of the word “rehab.” Programs on this page report that they accept Medicare, and each listing shows the levels of care it offers.

Listings draw on government treatment registers, state licensing records, accreditor listings and details supplied by the providers themselves. Medicare acceptance is reported by each program, so call and check enrollment and costs before admission. Broader options are on the main Florida treatment page.

Common questions about Medicare Rehab

Answered from what is listed here.

Where are Medicare rehabs in Florida?

Florida listings for Medicare-covered rehab cluster in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Ocala, Daytona Beach and Gainesville. People living in or near Miami, Orlando or St. Petersburg can also search those areas for programs that accept Medicare. Coverage depends on the provider's billing arrangements, so confirming Medicare acceptance with intake staff before admission is worthwhile.

Rehab Centers in Jacksonville That Accept Medicarehttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/florida/jacksonville-fl/medicare-rehab-jacksonville/
Do Medicare rehabs in Florida take Florida Medicaid?

Florida Medicaid is also accepted by nearly all of the rehabs that take Medicare in Florida. People who qualify for both kinds of coverage can often use them at the same provider.

Coverage rules still vary by plan and by service, so asking the admissions team how Medicare and Florida Medicaid will be billed together is a sensible step. Plan details and any prior authorization needs can then be checked before treatment begins.

Rehab Centers in Florida That Accept Florida Medicaidhttps://rehabseekers.com/locations/us/florida/florida-medicaid/
Are there Medicare rehabs near a river in Florida?

A median of about 9.2 miles separates Medicare-accepting rehabs in Florida from the nearest river. Most of the rehabs that take Medicare in Florida sit within 25 miles of one, and the North Fork Miami River is named in listings.

The Little Wekiva River and North Fork Middle River also appear in these listings. Anyone wanting a program near moving water can ask a provider which river is closest and how far it lies from where treatment happens.

Does Medicare pay for addiction treatment in Florida?

Medicare pays for medically necessary addiction treatment in Florida when a Medicare-enrolled provider delivers it. Each part of Medicare pays under different rules, so a hospital detox stay, an outpatient counseling visit and a buprenorphine prescription are billed separately. National details are on the Medicare coverage page.

Medicare is not only for adults 65 and older. Floridians under 65 who have received Social Security Disability Insurance for 24 months can be enrolled, and so can people with end-stage renal disease. Part A handles hospital stays, Part B outpatient care including methadone at opioid treatment programs, and Part D pharmacy prescriptions.

Provider enrollment matters as much as the benefit itself, because a program must be enrolled in Medicare to bill it. Since 2024, licensed mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists can enroll as Medicare providers, which means more outpatient clinicians can now see Medicare patients.
