Operation PAR Inc – Port Richey Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Operation PAR Inc – Port Richey providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Operation PAR is a local drug treatment center. I have not seen good results with this organization. They seem to over-prescribe suboxone, which leads to illegal sells. Growing up in West Virginia, I have also seen the… direct effects of Methadone Clinics. There has to be a better way!! ...also, this type of drug should not be given to men who have a past and present history of domestic abuse. An abused woman would see this as the government paying a drug addict to kill her. 🥺

The doctor, my counselor, the front desk people, the dosing nurse at the first window, the intake guy, and especially Gina have all been amazing. I transferred from elsewhere and this place has been absolutely amazing.… Easy to follow rules, genuine help, and no stigma for doing what you can to better your life. Gina is the one who does HIV testing. While there she hooked me up with CAN to treat my Hep C. They actually paid my insurance so I could do the treatment. Gina has a super caring and really has made a huge difference in my life. The hep c was chronic and debilitating to me. I can’t give her and PAR enough praise.

I love this place! from the nurses to the staff and counselors, they all care! It’s a clinic it is what you make of it plain and simple. Of course you are time here will be miserable if you don’t follow the rules and… continue to get high. If you choose to change your life methadone will do that for you. Yes, it’s a crutch, but I’d much rather be hooked on methadone than heroin/fentanyl! I’ve been on the Clinic since 2012 and it gave me my life back! I understand I’m not completely sober due to the methadone, but I can hold a job. I own a home, car and money in the bank! These are things I would never have if I were still using! I see some of the comments on here about how methadone has cost them their job and so on. GROW UP! Methadone didn’t do that you did that! You can only lead a horse to a river You can’t force him them drink it! I give this place 20 stars if I could for dealing with the crap I see on a daily basis! 😁

I did not like the way they forced me to go up every Tuesday while I was pregnant and I hated the fact that they did not like that I wanted off of it and out of the program completely and they tried to make me stay there

Sitting there in the parking lot waiting On my wife they're accused of me Of staying overnight on the property Told them my wife was there They still called the cops on me. Even they found out that my wife was inside… the building and still hadn't been trust passed. They're seeing a black man sitting in the car minding his own business not causing a Ruckus and I still get Trust passed

People are talking down for no reason. It has changed ALOT recently, for the better. everyone is very polite and willing to work with you and help you. I agree, years ago it was horrible but ever since fentanyl took… over the streets, a lot had changed. B4 u had to sign up and then wait almost 2 weeks to be started which is hard when your an addict b4 u start. Now, they will start you that day if doctor is there and you show up at open. And they move you up at a decent pace so you are not sick waiting to get to your correct dose, but they also limit the amount you can move up depending on symptoms and all that. Very professional and ran like any other doctors office/health clinic. To the person who has a family member that died, I'm so sorry to hear that. But the way they monitor you and bring you up slowly. It would be almost impossible for an addict to overdose on methadone especially with the slow increases. He/she unfortunstely was most likely still using on top of the methadone, or mixing it with Xanax or other benzos which they drug test you regularly, to try and prevent people from abusing medicine, and taking illegal substances with it. But as sad as it is, you can't blame the clinic for their passing. Methadone does nothing but help us get back into the routine of living a normal lifestyle without searching for drugs, be able to work and live a stable life again, I can't even tell when I take it, only if I forget to take, but it is a lifesaver. I would be dead just like everyone of my friends if it wasn't for the clinic, I know that for a fact.

This place is excellent. Everyone goes way beyond what's expected. They bend over backwards to make sure patients are taken care of. It is hilarious how people out there feel like they are somehow "entitled" and feel… that the world owes them a favor. They come here and complain of "being treated badly". The only bad treatment out there is how you treated yourself, with destructive behavior. When your world starts crumbling down around you, or someone rolls their eyes at you because your self abuse has reduced you to a shell of your formal self, your sense of entitlement replaces your common sense. If you jump off a cliff and break your legs, you will the rocks for being too hard.

Dr Sheehen is such an amazing doctor and person. I've heard horror stories about people being treated poorly at places like this and was scared. Some of the staff can be rude but when it comes to the counselors and… nurses everyone's wonderful. Dr Sheehen is an Angel and I'm so glad she was my doctor.

Edit Dec 2023... The clinic has greatly improved. I would give it a 4.5 rating now. The bad staff has all been replaced. The new staff is more caring and professional. The new front desk employees are a delight. The… nurses and councelors are a big help. Old review below... The front desk employees have the worst costumer service skills I have ever encountered. They ignore you, lie about you and to you, argue with you and roll their eyes at people. They have no commen sense. I feel they treat the people that go there like 2nd class citizens because they are there seeking help for their addiction. One girl (the girl that sits in the 3rd window- Feb. 2023) even threatened to take someone's medication away. Like she has the power or right to do so- lmao. She is the WORST. Clients pay them good money to help them. The only reason they have a job is because of other people's problems. They benefit off other's illness. I am a nurse and have been one for 25 years. If I ever acted like these girls do- I would have been fired on the spot. They most certainly need customer service education because the people that go to that clinic are their customers, no matter how they feel. Shame on them. The man at the front desk is not included. He is always professional. Some of the nurses are great and some need to go back to school. The one nurse that sits at the first window (Feb. 2023) looks and acts like a thug. She wears a knit cap with a hoodie on top of it. She even suggested to one man to "go out and score some weed" because it might help with his withdrawal process. If weed was the answer- No one would need Methadone or the clinic. It would be a whole lot cheaper and less of a hassel to get weed. Lol. For the most part the other nurses and most of the counslers are good. The business office is good except for one lady. Her name starts with an (I).She knows her job well but won't smile at you to save her life. Her attitude is rude. She's probably jaded because she has been there for so long. Too bad I can't rate individuals instead of the whole business. There are some that deserve a 5 plus star rating and some that deserve a zero. If there were other options to this clinic, I for one, would take it. But there's not and people are stuck.

To all the "nay sayers" out there, this place is great, from A-Z. These folks giving bad reviews, like it's PAR's fault. No one complained when yall visited the drug dealers. This is a place that helps people, and now… it's 'their' fault? Come on.
