Does BlueCare Cover Drug and Alcohol Rehab?

Yes. BlueCare covers assessment, medically supervised withdrawal, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient counseling, medication for opioid use disorder, case management and peer support, with little or no cost to members.

BlueCare is TennCare coverage administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, which also runs the state’s largest commercial network. The Medicaid and commercial sides are separate contracts with separate networks, so a program in network for a commercial BlueCross plan is not automatically in network for BlueCare.
