Staff is very compassionate and helpful
The staff was amazing everyone was helpful sweet nd patient. Environment was clean and very well taken care of. Definitely suggest going to Rolling Hills.
I truly recommend you to do research on where you take a loved one or yourself before coming here. Mental health is not recognized already enough and the care for it is limited. But for here, you will receive the… absolute worst care. I was an inservice patient here for a week, during my stay i was refused my medication for anything other than my mental health. Despite them calling my doctors to confirm I did in fact need the medication, they would not provide it. Which in turn, made my mental condition worse, and in turn of that lengthen my stay because I was not getting any help I actually needed. I was made to sleep on the floor in a hallway as well. The help they offer is not what you receive. Please do your own research before finding help you’re looking for. And avoid this place at all costs.
Our daughter received excellent care at Rolling Hills during her recent stay! She was treated by the staff with kindness and concern and a very caring and professional manner. She is much improved and we very grateful.… Could not ask for any better.
My wife was in your facility for 10 days with better results than trustpoint had in a full month. I have to
My niece who is in my custody was recently at Rolling Hills in the Child and Adolescent program and I really wanted to share our experience. I had actually seen Dr. Trautman on the news before which made it kind of… crazy when I realized he was going to be her doctor. He called me himself with updates and I was able to reach him when I had questions. That really meant a lot to me because this was obviously a stressful time for our family. The biggest thing for me was how he connected with my niece. She has struggled with addiction along with her mental health and I felt like he really understood that part of her story and listened to her. Neyland her nurse practitioner was great too and very kind to us. I’m just really thankful for how they treated my niece and our family while she was there.
⭐️ 1 Star My experience at Rolling Hills was extremely disappointing and, quite honestly, frightening given the nature of the facility. From the beginning, the process felt completely disorganized. I was told that I… should not have been admitted because I was not considered a risk to myself or others. After spending one night there, I quickly realized that this was not the appropriate environment for the specific help I needed. Once I was finally able to speak with the psychiatric nurse practitioner, she agreed that I should not be there and personally walked me to the nurses’ station to tell the nurse that I needed to leave AMA. That is when I encountered Andrew, who was incredibly rude and lacked any sense of compassion or basic human interaction. I understand that he may not have known the exact timeline or process for my discharge, and I can appreciate that there are procedures that have to be followed. However, the way he communicated with me was completely unacceptable. He would not make eye contact, was dismissive, and told me that I was being “held against my will.” Telling someone in an already extremely high-anxiety state that they are being held against their will is incredibly distressing and completely unnecessary. Regardless of the circumstances, patients in a psychiatric facility should be treated with patience, compassion, and basic human decency. Andrew needs significant training in how to communicate with vulnerable patients. Overall, my experience was one of confusion, poor communication, and a lack of compassion. I went there looking for help and left feeling more distressed by the experience. I would strongly encourage management to take a serious look at how admissions, communication, and patient interactions are being handled.
This place is like a prison! Full warning to anyone who is seeking help this is not the place to go! You will be stripped down blood drawn and monitored every 4 hours like your and inmate while being treated like one…… the doctors are not very friendly nor are they going to give you any useful information they are vague and will try to keep you for 10+ days so they can collect as much money out of you as they possibly can they do not care about you they just want your money…. You get “visitation” for one hour and 3 phone calls a day… This is supposed to be a place you come to get help not a prison! Do not and I repeat do not do in patient care do out patient care unless you or a loved one are experiencing very extreme levels of mania or suicidal thoughts or actions… we went here just to be evaluated to get a medicine change but instead are about to have to take legal action due to the fact of them holding you against your will even when it’s causing more harm than good even when that’s been verbally expressed numerous times to them they don’t care they keep you locked away like some criminal! Do not use this facility please look for help somewhere else!
Unprofessional, Disorganized, and Substandard Care I strongly advise against entrusting your loved ones to Rolling Hills Hospital if you have any other viable option. Our family’s experience was defined by severe… miscommunication, clinical delays, and a total lack of professionalism and basic empathy. Substandard Patient Treatment & Delays in Care The facility treats its patients more like inmates than individuals in need of care. Simple human dignity—such as cutting a string from a garment so my family member could wear clean, comfortable clothes—was refused. Furthermore, medications were consistently not administered in a timely manner, compromising basic patient care standards. Dubious Retention & Medical Release Issues When we attempted to discharge my family member via Against Medical Advice (AMA), the process was unnecessarily obstructed. Despite being medically cleared by every other doctor on the team, one remaining physician refused release simply stating, "I just want you to stay the weekend so I feel comfortable"—holding a patient based on personal comfort rather than clinical necessity. Extreme Disorganization & Miscommunication The internal communication at this facility is appalling. Staff consistently fail to relay crucial messages between families and patients, frequently offering false promises and contradictory information. Hostile & Unprofessional Staff Conduct The discharge process was deeply disrespectful. Upon arrival, the main lobby was locked. A group of staff members simply stared through the entrance, ignoring my presence entirely. When I walked to another entrance, I was met with condescension. A staff member spoke down to me through the intercom, instructing me to wait in my vehicle and promising to inform the team of my arrival. After sitting in the parking lot for 40 minutes, I called the facility, only to be told to come back inside. Once admitted, the lobby staff casually admitted that no one had ever passed along the message that I was waiting. Rolling Hills Hospital operates with complete disarray, a lack of basic courtesy, and zero respect for patients and their families. Please explore all other alternatives for your loved ones before considering this facility.
All the staff was very friendly with me and very nice. The only disappointment that I had was the facility that I stayed in general pop was not clean like it needed to be.
I was 17 and admitted inpatient, so obviously I was placed in the (female) adolecent unit. I was expecting ill people, yes, but I wasnt expecting the lack of correction and care from the staff. Various different times I… had informed the staff on various different people for various types of hate speech. Abelism, racism, homophobia, harassment (including sexual), etc. I was told that without any real threat, they were unable to do anything. Thus leaving me and many more girls in a hostile, discriminatory environment created by the kids, and passively enabled by the staff. Yes, there is definitely drama, and it is most definitely petty and unnecessary. I engaged in it sadly, and looking back at it, its the equivalent to middle school arguments over who doesnt like who. Its stupid. Now, I want to talk about the sexual harassment I recieved from another girl. First day there, I was flashed (a girl lifted her shirt and showed me her bare chest) and peer pressured into doing it back. I felt obligated due to my own personal trauma, so I did it. Normally, this would be a fault between me and her, until I heard she had done this to multiple girls. We told the staff, and she was reprimanded. It honestly felt like a slap on the wrist compared to the trauma the victims recieved. Adding onto sexual harassment—the courtyard. Often the girls and boys would take turns going outside. Sometimes, the boys would come near the windows and make extremely inappropriate, and sexual gestures that emphasized our bodies in crude ways. They would also leave notes around the courtyard, and often both units (boys and girls) would go back and forth. Some of the kids encourage others to revert back to bad habits, and often glorify residentials (long term mental facilities) instead of aiming to get better. This is something I noticed that is very overlooked, and detrimental to those who initially aim to recover. There are many more problems and incidents I can talk about that couldve easily been solved if the staff listened (and if I minded my business...) By staff, I mean the nurses. The techs were usually very understanding and sweet to us, and often corrected the best they could. There are so many more things I could talk about, but basically, its no better than a public school. Most of the stuff I was "taught", I already knew. And sometimes, the therapists can be extremely unprofessional. A therapist, Ms. Happy, often misinterpreted or blatantly ignores the struggles we presented and flipped the blame onto us. Ex. I complain about how deans are biased towards well known students, and enable bullying because of it. She responds with insensitive, and dare I say a stupid response. "Have you told them to stop?" And in more serious cases, she glazes over topics of rape, abortion, miscarriage, abuse, etc. This left many more kids traumatized/triggered, which leads other kids (including me) to step up and explain how insensitive it is. Other than this, the other therapists provide good activities and skills practice. So... It was a very toxic environment that left me, dare I say, more scarred than before I was admitted. Regardless, I was still able to relate to others and help those who cant speak for themselves. This is my personal experience, so it will differ based on who you surround yourself with.
The staff I had helping me in GP 7 were great. I want you to know that the nurses Delores and Fran were kind, patient and understanding. The BHTS Kaysia(so sorry if I spelled that wrong) and Mohamed were willing to… actually talk to us like people. Kaysia is friggin bright and funny and I loved the days she was there. Day to day staff were awesome and deserve raises in my humble opinion. Y’all need to fix your cafeteria situation though because what you’re serving is godawful. Besides the food my only gripes are lack of vaping and caffeine but this is all minor shit beyond the fact that your day to day people helped keep me alive. I would definitely come back if I experience a crisis again.
i had a great time here. everyone was super nice and super helpful. i learned so much and improved so much. thank you
They do not involve the parents with adolescents. They have not helped my daughter AT ALL. They have not gotten to the bottom of her issue AT ALL. The "patient code" is not a good system. When I was RETURNING a call… that the facility made TO ME the receptionist asks for a code. I explained to her that I am her mother and will be the one picking her up. The receptionist refuses to transfer me to the unit and states I have to wait for them to call me back. Really??? She's MY DAUGHTER! Not a good place. AT ALL. She will not be coming back here!!
My son has been here several times and they have always been great for him.
As far as mental hospitals go this one is pretty good my only criticisms are that my blood work showed one of the levels for my kidneys was elevated and it was never followed up on. The other thing is they lost the only… thing I brought. I brought one thing, my sandals, they had to take because they had metal on them but they lost them. Though they were only from five below so at least they weren’t expensive shoes and they did get me some shoes from the donation box so I didn’t have to leave in socks. And a nurse got annoyed because I asked him to use use gloves when he gave me my medicine and always brought it up afterwards. But They are nicer here than the other mental hospital I went to before hopefully I never have to go back to one again but they are pretty nice here.
Really good people
I’d say this facility is one of the nicer ones I went to. It had a nice courtyard, decent food, nice facility and lots of activities. They recently started a levels chart where you can earn rewards, even headphones.… There was one incredibly rude staff member who would just tell us how much she hated kids and refused to give us things like deodorant if we didn’t “ask correctly” One time I said please in the wring order in a sentence so she didn’t give me my hygiene supplies. I always wondered why she chose to work with kids. There were little to no therapy groups mostly just games but I did find my time there helpful. Definitely a nicer facility than others.
They like to take fraudulentpaperwork then go after all your insurance money My wife was committed by herself voluntarily and they're using something that she did when she was 9 years old against her in order to get… more insurance money it's all about the money I literally asked them that and they literally stepped back and got quiet because they knew I was telling him the truth My wife asked to to be released against medical advice and they literally told her if you do that the doctor will use Tennessee 60.4 and involuntarily commit you because you tried to commit suicide when you was a kid when they literally asked her and she said no I could never do that because I love my kids and my husband too much Lawyers have been informed
The PHP and IOP programs are superb in every respect. Excellent staffing and program content.
i just got out of the mental hospital here for teens back in april on the 20th. it was an AMAZING first experience being hospitalized. the beds weren't that comfy but i wasn't expecting them to be honestly. the food was… REALLY good. the staff was very friendly. i would LOVE to come back if i feel like my mental health gets bad again. i almost forgot to mention this but the groups were helpful, they weren't boring either, i feel like that the person who did the groups each day made it fun in some kind of way. i feel like i learnt some things as well. so if you are struggling with your mental health, i recommend you come to rolling hills, it was a very good first experience for me and i hope it is for you too!
Inpatient was very important, positive experience. Staff and counselors were helpful and kind throughout experience. Outpatient was and is part of the process and helping.
This place is joke. Had my step mom admitted and they didn't do anything. We tried to call 2 or 3 different times to get an update of treatment and see how things are going. Do you think we ever got an answer or a call… back nope. This place is a scam..
