Hilltop Behavioral Health – Summit Detox and Rehab Services

Hilltop Behavioral Health – Summit appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Hilltop Behavioral Health – Summit Address, Location and Contact Information

Hilltop Behavioral Health – Summit is located at 450 Springfield Avenue in Summit, New Jersey, 7901. The city lies within Union County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Hilltop Behavioral Health has such a compassionate and knowledgeable team. They do an amazing job balancing professionalism and clinical expertise with making people feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared… about. If you are looking for eating disorder treatment or mental health counseling, I would highly recommend reaching out to them.

We have worked with the team at Hilltop Behavioral for years. We trust and appreciate their team in supporting our clients who need eating disorder OP care. It's also rare to find a healthcare provider that truly… advocates for their patients when it comes to the financial side of care. This practice clearly understands that mental health support shouldn't be derailed by billing stress. They handle everything with professionalism, transparency, and collaboration with our teams. Special thanks to Brian and his team of therapists and RD who are experts in their fields.

Hilltop Behavioral Health knows how to go the extra mile for their clients. After getting to know Brian and his team of professionals, I’ve been inspired how they not only show up with years of expertise and knowledge,… but also approach each client with compassion, grace, and empathy. Hilltop’s team is guaranteed to be there for you every step of the way!

I wanted to take a moment to express my profound gratitude for the incredible impact you've had on my daughter. The transformation we've witnessed in her since she began working with you is nothing short of remarkable.… Your dedication, compassion, and expertise have guided her through some challenging times, and the progress she's made under your care brings tears to my eyes as I write this. My family and I are eternally grateful for the unwavering support you've provided to her. Your commitment to her well-being has not only helped her navigate her challenges but has also instilled a sense of hope and optimism for the future. Though we recognize that there is still a long journey ahead of us, we take comfort in knowing that she is in such capable and caring hands. Your guidance has been invaluable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our support network. Thank you, Lindsay, for everything you do. Your kindness and expertise have made a profound difference in her life, and for that, we will always be grateful.

The staff at Hilltop are of equal amounts professional and compassionate. They are trained to treat patients using a wide range of modalities and interventions while also acknowledging and validating their unique human… experience. Even though they are equipped to treat individuals struggling with various mental illnesses, I can personally attest to their expertise in eating disorder treatment and highly recommend them to help guide your healing journey.

I had no idea what to do and how to support a loved one until I worked with Hilltop. Everything I learned from how to build trust to creating a sense of consistency and strength that seemed impossible helped build a… resiliency that I hadn't seen before. I can not tell you how much respect went into each session, they do incredible work.”

I am generally not one to write reviews. I also do not usually write negative ones without first speaking to someone involved with the business to resolve matters. Unfortunately, I tried that here and it did not work. I… was a client of Brian Pollack's for several years (2015-early 2019). While many things happened that were helpful, he often used victim-blaming language in regards to my trauma history (including telling me I shouldn't drink and should set better boundaries), he violated HIPAA at one point, and he left several voicemails for my current therapist panicking about how I was doing with recovery based on information given by my mother, who at that point was not supposed to be contacting him. I have emailed him about these things, and his response the first time I mentioned the victim blaming statements amounted to "therapy is tough," and the most recent time, he responded, "I appreciate you taking the time to write this. I wish you all the best." He has never acknowledged the harm caused or apologized. I do not consider him to be truly trauma-informed, or to be willing to take responsibility and own up for his mistakes as a clinician. I have heard similar experiences from others (particularly in regard to victim blaming and refusing to apologize) as I have begun talking to people who also worked with him at RWJ and on an outpatient basis. While Brian knows eating disorders very well, I caution anyone with a trauma history from working with him, and want people to know that he does not accept responsibility for missteps.

Brian called us personally to speak about our daughter after there was an issue with the phones. He spent an hour with us and went above and beyond to rectify the miscommunication.

Brian is the go to individual for males struggling with eating disorders. He is an expert in his field, and I appreciate our personal and professional relationship. I met Brian about 5 years ago at an eating disorder… conference in Philadelphia. The event was made up of probably 200+ people and only 3 of the attendees were men. Brian was the only expert talking/advocating for males in this space. He is still one a few treating males, and I admire his passion and commitment to the cause. It’s been years, and it’s amazing to see his commitment and willingness to lend a hand. You will not find someone that wants to help males struggling with eating disorders more than Brian.

Brian is a seasoned specialist with a passion for treating eating disorders. He is also caring and empathic. His picture should say "professional," below it because that is what he is -- in every sense of the word. I… highly recommend him!

I can't speak more highly of Brian Pollack as a skilled, compassionate, humble, and knowledgeable clinician. We have patients in common whom he has gone above and beyond and helped tremendously. Brian cares tremendously… about his patients and positive outcomes. Brian's professionalism, ethics, and level of care should be a benchmark to which other medical professionals should aspire to. He is an impeccable communicator and it is an honor to work with him professionally. In our communications he has demnonstrated a sincere commitment to his patients who are compliant and ready for his care. I would highly recommend Brian to any of my patients, friends or colleagues who are in need of his professional services.
