Evas Village – Paterson (25 Jackson Street) Detox and Rehab Services
The register shows Evas Village – Paterson (25 Jackson Street) providing residential treatment, intensive outpatient and sober living. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Housing support is listed for the months following a more intensive stage. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I would give this place -5 stars if I could. I was in the womens overnight shelter, i was there for almost three months, the staff showed favoritism and were very unprofessional. They treat people like children and… don't care if you have anything going on outside of being there. If you weren't gossiping or sharing your life story they didn't care to help they wanted to see people down. My daughter was sick in the hospital with rhinoenterovirus for a week and her dad had to work so I had to stay with her. They packed up my belongings by day 3 and gave up my bed, and told me they didn't care that she was in the hospital that has nothing to do with them and that's not their problem but wrote that my discharge was because of me causing trouble. They discharged me so quick as if it gave them a thrill, didnt care about the fact that I had nowhere to go. I kept to myself, I did my chore everyday, and fought my mental and dignity like hell everyday to sit around people that only see you as a quick dollar from welfare. My experience there was horrible. They only help the elderly or help people fake having a disability to get housing. Would not recommend at all.
I went there to have breakfast. All the workers are so polite and helpful thank you
Great place for women in recovery.
Eva's village has been essential part of my recovery can I continue there in the aftercare program. I think it's great 💯
Evas is a decent place that genuinely cares about there clients. I'd honestly say it's the best state funded halfway house in NJ. I've been here 6 months with no real complaints. The food could be a little better but at… the end of the day it's a good place. Obviously this place is state funded and the majority of clients are on drug court or parole so there is no jacuzzi, pool and horses but like I said it’s not a bad place
Helped me get my life together forever grateful for everyone there #6yearsDF
When i first had lunch there there was a small cup of white powder to what i thought was sugar and poured it in my coffee. Good thing i was told first. One time when i first entered to volunteer i was given an… application. Something i should've recieved to take home with me. I didn't even understand the words i read. And when i asked this woman if i could come back to finish the application she said "ummmm" b4 saying sure. Not reasuring. And lastly when i told them i was looking to be sheltered there none of them understood. When i said it again i was pointed at place where only addicts go
I am wondering how the hell my daughter got to just walk out she was sentenced to the facility they never contacted me or the police! How dare you! She called me crying an told me they were so nasty to her! My daughter… is recovering an needed kindness not nastiness! Well a Missing person. Will be out an I will have my lawyer contact them!
Excellent place, they are very attentive, they are there as if they were waiting for you to give you their attention, and excellent service from the security guard outside the site. 👍🏽🔥
They do so much for the community of paterson my daughter got her culinary training here and they also great helping people that are in need of a place to eat or shelter the staff are really wonderful God Bless all the… Eva Village staff 🙏
I'm really greatful for Evas they will help you get your life back together but you have to do the work. This is a program. Women's halfway house. Thx Ladies
Other than the staff that greets and seats you having a Napoleon complex, and the amount of times they serve pork; it's a great place. The food sans pork, is usually pretty tasty. Overall this "soup kitchen" is miles… ahead of some of the others I have been to. I highly appreciate what they do for us less than fortunate locals. If it wasn't for Eva's, I'd go without eating most days. I shaved the one star strictly based on the seating staff's behavior towards other human beings. The better than you attitude, really gets under your skin. If you don't like what you are doing or the people you have to deal with, do everyone including yourself a favor and find another job, or work in the back where you don't deal with us.
Very hospitable place to the homeless and a good place for a hot meal if you need one. There should be more caring people like this in the world.
