New Jersey Behavioral Health Center – Hillsborough Detox and Rehab Services
Recorded services at New Jersey Behavioral Health Center – Hillsborough are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

New Jersey Behavioral Health Center – Hillsborough Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 120 Old Complain Road in Hillsborough, New Jersey, 8844. This address falls in Somerset County. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. Journey time and parking are not trivial details when treatment runs several times a week over months.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

thank u for saving my best friends lifeband being the safe space she needed 🌈
My nephew has been struggling for years. After numerous attempts this place has helped him immensely. He has been sober for two years and the alumni guy still calls him!! As someone in the medical field, I would… recommend this place.
Amazing. Everyone CARES from the tech staff to the clinical director to the case managers to the owners. In a sea of treatment centers and providers, NJBHC is a beacon of honesty and integrity. Dedicated therapists that… are experienced, devoted, and truly invested in the SUCCESS of their patients. I have had many many manyyyyyy years involved with places that claim to be what NJBHC actually is. So happy to come across NJBHC. I hope the right person sees this message and knows there is still hope and chooses their journey here. This is the place.
This was a very good place
I went to New Jersey behavioral health center this last summer and it was one of the best rehabs I have been too. the director of housing Rob is phenomenal at his job he is very welcoming to all new clients and is an… awesome person over all. The executive director Megan cares deeply about all clients and will do whatever it takes to make your sobriety comes first. This is a five start rehab and if u ever need help this is the place to go!!!
Formal Statement Regarding My Experience at NJBHC I am providing this statement to document my experience at NJBHC following my discharge from the program. I was admitted on January 8, 2026. Upon intake into housing, I… reviewed and signed documentation outlining the program’s rules and expectations, including requirements related to hygiene, conduct, and interactions between residents. Shortly after admission, I observed repeated violations of these rules by other residents that, to my knowledge, were not addressed in a consistent or meaningful way by staff. For example, one resident (“CW,” referenced here for confidentiality) failed to maintain basic hygiene for an extended period despite daily bathing being a stated requirement. I also personally observed this individual viewing explicit material on a shared television in a common area during evening hours. I reported these concerns. I was later informed that similar behavior had occurred previously. I am not aware of any corrective action taken. I further experienced repeated theft of personal property. On at least four occasions, the same resident entered my room while I was sleeping and removed my PS5 controller. During the final incident, I was informed that a security camera had been covered. Each instance was reported to staff. No real apparent remedial or disciplinary action was taken to protect my property or address the conduct. From my first day in the program, I requested a family session. Despite remaining enrolled for over one month, this session was never scheduled. Communication between staff and my family regarding my status and behavior was, at times, inconsistent with my understanding of events. Due to escalating concerns with the housing environment, I was transferred to the Bridgewater location. There, I became aware of further inconsistencies in rule enforcement. The program maintained a policy prohibiting residents of different genders from entering each other’s units, with discharge cited as a potential consequence. However, I observed or was informed of instances in which other residents engaged in more serious boundary violations without discharge. In contrast, I was reprimanded after returning to my unit to de-escalate following a verbal altercation during group programming. My girlfriend briefly stood in the doorway to check on my wellbeing. Staff intervened immediately and treated this as a significant violation. Another resident reportedly physically pushed a clinician and was not immediately discharged. It was only after a subsequent, more severe incident that removal from the program occurred. My own discharge followed an incident in which I struck a wall in frustration. I did not threaten or physically harm any individual. I did not direct aggression toward staff or peers. This isolated act was characterized as “self-harm” and cited as grounds for discharge due to alleged insubordination and manic behavior. For clarity, I have been evaluated by multiple psychiatrists and diagnosed with OCD, panic disorder, and neurodivergence. I have never been diagnosed with a bipolar spectrum disorder, and none of my treating providers have identified mania as part of my clinical presentation. I was initially informed that I could return to the program after completing a two-week stabilization period. Weeks later, I was told I would not be permitted to return regardless of completion. I recognize that treatment programs must enforce rules to maintain safety. However, based on my experience, enforcement appeared inconsistent and, at times, selective. I believe that my attempts to advocate for myself and raise concerns about these inconsistencies contributed to the decision to discharge me. This statement reflects my personal experience and observations during my enrollment at NJBHC. My intent is to provide an accurate account of events as I experienced them.
Wanted to give a huge shout out to Justin for all of his help!
Tommy Hayes went above and beyond to help an individual who is struggling with mental health and addiction and ensure that the individual and their family was taken care of with urgency, respect and comprehensive… support.
Hands down one of the best facilities I've had the blessing to be a part of. Great owners, staff, clinicians, and great facility. Everyone there really truly cares, is very professional, down to earth, go above and… beyond, are helpful, and will bring meaningful support and presence to help you change your life from one of addiction to one of sobriety and inner and outer peace.
This facility truly goes above and beyond. A loved one went there and the staff truly created a treatment plan tailored just for him. From the directors down, all staff is hands on and truly cares. I’m so grateful for… NJBHC
The staff was super informative and helpful. They truly go above and beyond for their clients!
By the time I got to the New Jersey Behavioral Health Center, addiction had a strong hold on me and I had nearly completely run out of energy due to anxiety. The employees there were very patient and concerned about my… struggles and listened carefully rather than rushing through our conversations. This demonstrated to me that recovery was a possibility.
really liked how organized this program was and how clearly each session had a goal to help me get tools for use in my life beyond treatment. The program structure provided me with support in developing habits towards a… healthier lifestyle, as well as helping me stay focused on my goals for recovery from my addiction during this period. I am now able to think I will be able to maintain the progress I have made while I am living day to day.
Amazing treatment facility.
Just wanted to give the staff a shout out for helping my friend out when he was down and out. God is good!
