Excela Latrobe – Latrobe Detox and Rehab Services

Excela Latrobe – Latrobe appears on the register for residential treatment and intensive outpatient. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I have been a patient of Dr Richard's for many years. In November my wife called his office to say I was in terrible pain with my back and didn't know what to do (I have a history of back surgeries and issues) Dr… Richard's nurse was extremely kind to my wife by passing messages back and forth between my wife and Dr Richard's. His first comments were for me to go off of all pain medication. After several phone calls back and forth I kept trying to explain that it was impossible for him to go off of pain meds did he have any suggestions other than that. His final comment was that he stood by his assessment without even seeing him. I ended up taking my husband to UPMC ER that day and he had a 10 hour emergency back surgery two days later. Dr Richard's office never at any point after ever called to follow up to see how he was or made out. Never again. We just tried to get his records transferred and were told it could take months. I called back and asked for office manager and now a different story.

I see Dr. Richard’s, and I would recommend him as a PCP. He gets back quickly whether he’s in office or out. I have also seen the PA at the Latrobe office, she’s super kind and is a good listener. Nikki the Medical… Assistant goes above and beyond for her patients.. she is patient, kind, and thorough!

I originally went to this doctor as I needed a local doctor and I was told they were good with gender affirming care. I just got my test results back and was immediately misgendered in them. Switched doctors and will be… going to a new AHN-affiliated doctor who specializes in gender affirming care.

I have been seeing Dr. Armanious for many years. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and saved my life. She sent me for a stress test that I didn't want to do. Ended up having a catherization and bypass surgery of 5… arteries. I will never be able to thank her enough!!!

I’ll start by saying Dr. Wynert is an amazing doctor all the reasons why I drove the EXTRA 30 minutes from his other location in greensburg (Where the staff is caring, compassionate, and friendly) and the only reason… why I gave this location anything above the 1 it deserves after the way I was treated yesterday. Yesterday just so happened to be my daughters 9th birthday. So instead of canceling my appointment, which to me was urgent, I decided to make a day of it and us go to lunch afterwards. I felt immediately judged at the moment we walked through the door by the older receptionist. The moment I said I’m here for Steven instead of Dr. Wynert she had the nastiest attitude and corrected me “Dr. Wynert 😒” This man has helped me through the darkest depression/anxiety, discovered and helped me through a breast “lump”( thank goodness not cancer!!) and most recently COVID 19 in addition to all the other “normal” health issues throughout the years....So sorry if I felt comfortable enough to address him by his first name!?! She then asked how old my daughter is... Excitedly I replied 9!! Today’s her birthday 🥳 .....immediate eye roll 🙄... “She cannot be in here, you are going to have to reschedule” At this point I’m annoyed... I just drove an hour for this appointment, took off work, got 3 children ready, got a babysitter for 2 and she’s telling me that was all for nothing!?! Okay COVID-19, I was trying to be understanding..her attitude made it hard...so hard... BUT... If the masks are preventative then why can’t she be here? If 6ft is preventative then why can’t she be here? If the fact that we were told by a DOCTOR that children are the lucky ones during this pandemic and would be fine if they caught it...why couldn’t she be here? If the fact that I was diagnosed December 18th with Covid 19 and lived to tell the tale...exposed my husband and three children daily for 2 1/2 weeks, where she had mild to basically no symptoms during, and then told we have no risk of catching again for at minimum 90 days but up to 7 months, hence not even being at risk of catching or spreading at this appointment. And most importantly being that I am her mother, legal guardian and I am saying she can be here...so why can she not be here??? She did not want to hear anything I had to say, she could care less about my drive and the inconvenience she was causing me. She made me feel as though in that moment I was a bad mom and less then. And NO ONE working in that field should treat anyone that way. I left feeling extremely angry at how I was treated and spoken too. To the point that it is 4 in the morning the next day and I’m still unsettled by it. I hope this finds its way to her, and I hope it turns into a learning experience. I’m not sure if it were the color of my skin, the fact that I brought my daughter, or the simple “I’m here to see Steven for my 10:15 appointment” but no one deserves to be spoken to the way I was today.

Dr Christine Armaiuus was Recommended very highly. After seeing Dr Armanius and being treated I can highly recommend her. I am feeling better after following her recommendations than I have for more than 10 years.
