So far so good. Got my prescriptions without any problem, so no anxiety there. Working with the benefit specialist and vocational rehab representative to start my routine into recovery. I pray that this clinic has the… support team that I'm looking for in order to recover properly this time. Thank you, and keep putting towards that effort. It's a skeleton crew. You've got workers wearing multiple hats, which is why I give them a little bit of slack. Always advocate for yourself. A worker in this field will understand when a person is advocating and why. Somebody who doesn't should not be in this field of work. I have not felt uncomfortable, disrespected nor ignored at this clinic. There will be an update after three months. Let's see how things go. Fingures crossed. My nightmare is ending up at a Southwest Behavioral Health, or a Terros clinic. Those clinics caused PTSD of the behavioral health system. Try CPLC first, anywhere first really. Those two clinics are great for babysitting and not working on individual recovery. there are no more monthly board meetings where participants, and the heads of these clinics would come together to discuss matters. Since there is no monthly board meeting, like there was before, it makes it very hard to navigate the mental health system at this time. A huge innovation would be to bring back the once a month meetings, where all of these clinics, organizations, and new programs are introduced. Where participants like myself can voice their opinion. It was also a great place to collect business cards from higher uppers, because there are a lot of speed bumps in the recovery system, and those speed bumps are usually unprofessional people who try to govern your recovery and walk all over your rights. I am the only one that governs my recovery, and I am the only one that says I am recovering. That is called empowerment training. Don't let anybody in this system take that from you. Your voice is just as equal as theirs and make sure that you understand your rights and additional rights if you are SMI. It's ok to say no I do not agree. It is ok to see a new doctor, case manager, or therapist if you want. This is your time, your recovery, your voice that really matters. Not power pushers/control freaks. Recommendation with CPLC is to contact the clinic the day before you have a ride scheduled just to confirm that it has been scheduled by the clinic. It's also ok to leave them a message the night before. That way if it's not scheduled, they have time to do it. Sometimes little things get busy and they forget, and it's my responsibility to make sure that they are reminded. Wish me luck. I wish you luck too.

I went there yesterday in the middle of a nervous breakdown with suicidal thoughts. I couldn't stop crying, desperately seeking help. I don't have health insurance, and they told me to leave, that they weren't going to… help me because I drive a new car, a 2021 model that I bought before I had any mental health issues. I'm Hispanic/Mexican, that's why I sought help from them, but I didn't know that place existed. They only help African Americans and whites. I was on the verge of taking my own life, but thanks to the 988 crisis line, which helped me for free, I'm alive writing this message. If you're Chicano like me, don't go to that place; they won't help you. Thank you for everything.

I just got a call from this place using my legal name, saying I had an appt tomorrow (that I never made), the person on the phone was not explaining herself, wouldn’t give me much information, and when I called back to… get any further information, she just said she had the wrong person and hung up on me. I immediately got a call back where she said wrong phone number and hung up on me again. What is happening? Why did they have my name and number? Is this a scam?

Went in for blood work, and politely asked if I could put my headphones in so I’m distracted because needles make me faint, and the lady obliged however before I could even get both earbuds in, she jabbed the needle in… my arm when it wasn’t even straightened out properly which made me jerk my arm back and then she proceeded to yell at me, ended up blowing out my vein, there was also someone’s chair on the side of the building with an alcoholic beverage in it, it looks like they’re living there whoever it belongs to. the whole place is run down, there’s always some violent tv show turned on in the lobby even though it’s probably triggering to many patients who go here (ptsd, other mental illnesses) I would try and steer clear of this one folks

Marie is the best case manager that I've had here. If it weren't for her then, I would give a lower rating.

Worst experience of my life, do not bother to even consider this a clinic. Nobody checks on on your well being. And the facilitators dontd seem to care and they constantly lie to you that they are taking care of your… concerns.

Honestly I have no idea where to begin... Let's just say that if something goes right, it is such a rare occurrence its almost like winning the lottery... I have had more case managers then months i have been utilizing… their SMI services... It takes a month to get into an appointment or to even talk with somebody who can get the process rolling... Literally i called 3 times a week for a month and a half and always got the same response, "we will call you back..."OMG, I could go on and on, but the fact is they do not take into consideration the concerns of the patient and also, they have little to no respect for the SMI condition... I for one will be switching clinics ASAP.

2 good providers, the rest are terrible. Grave (my provider) is the only reason I still go to this clinic. The case managers are the WORST. They seriously don't car about you or your needs. I've been waiting for over 6… months for them to set me up with out-patient trauma therapy; it takes submitting a form and making 2 phone calls at the most, but apparently that's too much of a challenge to get me this therapy I so desperately need.

Want to give 0 stars for these peoples' service and care. They are absolutely horrible. Losing paperwork, forgetting paperwork, not setting up transportation, causing the patient to miss appts because of them. Case… manager Dianne Williamson is the worst case manager possible to have. The other people on her team are just as bad and not helpful at all. Patient hasn't had counseling or therapy in over a year because of these people. They are SMI patient as well. These people keep messing with the patient deliberately so that things will go wrong or won't get done. All they are trying to do is switch to another facility and they are even making that as difficult as pulling teeth from a chicken. If you want mental health help, do NOT go here. Centro Esperanza AKA People of Color AKA Chicanos Por La Causa is the worst facility (310 S. Ext Rd Mesa, AZ 85210) that we have EVER been to.

I am dealing with a case worker named Nikki. She is on the act team. Before her was a barb b. So far both suck or sucked.... Occasionally they would do their Job.... But most of the time not so much. I'm dealing with… Dcs right now. Trying to get my kids back. Barb sabataged me in the beginning and helped me lose my kids in the 1st place... Thank for that btw. Nikki seems skittish whenever I get upset. When I call her on her BS or lack of doing her job.... she tells me Im distrespecting Her and tries to divert the situation by doing so off of the main subject of her lack of performance. Like it will just go away... nope not a chance. .... Also she informed me she used to work for Dcs..... And is always pushing me to ask them for help.... Every time I've done so..... Dcs has used it against me.... So obviously if she's worked for them she already knows they do this..... And all along she has been trying to sabatage to sabatage me also. That seriously sucks..... Anyone on the act team.... If you have either of these people..... Request some one new.... Like NOW!!!! Anna is a good worker... ask for her if you can.... She's awesome..... But nikki and barb b... Please fire these two workers... They suck and you will end up worse off than when you started...
