Center for Discovery – Bridgewater Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows Center for Discovery – Bridgewater providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I was surprised by how much I actually healed here :) With prior experiences in treatment not being great, I had low hopes tbh, but Center for Discovery and their kind staff blew me away. They were beyond understanding… and accommodating, understanding that each person's condition and treatment is individualized. There were only a handful of patients at a time, which helped with the individualized approach, which I truly believe is essential with this type of treatment. I felt comfortable and calm going in every day. The groups were led by the therapists and dietitians, which I feel made a huge difference as I actually learned a lot in each group, not only about therapy tactics but about also nutrition, too, which is huge! I am super glad I got to spend time at CFD Bridgewater, and would recommend it to anyone trying to heal from an ED. Have an open mind, and learn as much as you can.

Center for Discovery in Bridgewater is truly one of a kind. From day one, I felt supported by a team that genuinely cares about every single patient’s recovery. Sofia, the program director, has created an environment… that is incredibly recovery-focused, not just for one group, but for both adolescents and adults — which is no small feat. The space she and her team have cultivated is compassionate, empowering, and deeply intentional. The staff here are some of the most empathetic, knowledgeable, and compassionate people I’ve ever met. They understand the complexities of recovery and know exactly when to gently push you, when to support you, and how to navigate even the toughest moments. Mealtimes, which can be overwhelming, were made lighter and more approachable because the staff took the time to connect with us — asking questions, starting conversations, and making sure we never felt alone. They always met us with presence and care, whether they were redirecting behaviors, running engaging and educational groups, or just being there when we needed someone. One of the most powerful parts of my experience was realizing that every staff member — even those not directly on my treatment team — were invested in my recovery. That meant the world to me. I was lucky to have Annie and Lesley (and Sofia toward the end of my time), and they helped me realize that I am worthy of recovery. That I deserve to take up space. That my voice matters. Their belief in me came before I could believe in myself, and that made all the difference. They celebrate your wins, but more importantly, they stand by you in your struggles. They make you feel safe, seen, and cared for, while still challenging you to grow and take steps forward. They’re with you every step of the way, and they do everything they can to help you build a strong foundation for life after treatment. If you’re even thinking about getting help — if you’re questioning whether you’re “sick enough” — please consider reaching out to CFD Bridgewater. This place helped me change my life. And it can help you too

Was here 2 years ago, and Worst experience of my life! I have an eating disorder called A.R.F.I.D. (Look it up) and they claim they know how to deal with disorders like this. They don’t know what they are doing. They… only care about being politically correct, censoring your words, and taking your money. I use to have a binge eating disorder too, and because of that, I use to be obese and they told me “well, maybe you’re not meant to be a smaller size” they may try to not be offensive and what not, but that was the biggest piece of hypocrisy I’ve ever heard! This place I would consider hell on earth! If you are looking to cure anything but anorexia, run! Run away as far as you can from center for discovery!

Center For Diacovery is amazing. They are kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. They are sensitive to everyone’s needs not only the patient. They taught us all so much. We are grateful and thankful for the entire… staff. We especially enjoyed Family Nights where we would attend workshops with our daughter and other families in the same boat. We ended the night having a huge family dinner. CFD is family!

There are not enough good words to say about the staff and this program! Sofia (program director) has worked really hard to cultivate a healing and recovery focused space for both adults and adolescents (which is not an… easy feat!). All of the staff are extremely empathetic, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They navigate the difficulties of recovery in the best way possible from providing support during meals/snacks to redirecting behaviors to leading educational therapeutic and dietary groups. All of the therapists and dietitians deeply care for the patients and work hard on cultivating a good therapeutic relationship so that the patient can achieve their goals. I am so lucky to have found CFD Bridgewater. The staff believed in me before I could believe in myself. They saw that I was worthy of recovery long before I could and worked tirelessly to help me see it. I can genuinely say that I would not be here today if it was not for my incredible treatment (Lesley and Kiersten) and the entire staff at this location. Even though Kayla and Sofia were never my therapists they were invested just as much in my recovery. Annie, although not my dietitian, still supported me and celebrated my wins alongside my therapist. They also strongly encourage involvement of your family/support system by having a family night and family session. They recognize that not everyone might have a supportive family but everyone does have a support system and want to work together with your support system to set you up for success post discharge. If you are even contemplating about seeking treatment, if you have even the slightest question of if you're sick enough or if you have an eating disorder, I highly recommend CFD Bridgewater to help you on this journey. It will be the hardest thing you will do, but will end up being the most rewarding.

Terrible place! Admission process alone was a nightmare. That should have been a sign to run away. The staff were inexperienced, unprofessional, and extremely difficult to deal with. Beware that the current director for… this location was involved in a scandal at another facility. Stay away from this place if you can!

wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy. process was a nightmare. once attending, groups were poorly run, theres more downtime than actual grouping, there is a very uncomfortable atmosphere where adults and adolescent… patients are forced to interact and it is both unproductive, and made me quiet uncomfortable. found only one person, Leslie, who did my admission and actually got me to come, to be genuine. Was told i could attend, told I couldnt, then offered to come back. Most unprofessional experience of my life and made me hesitant of other treatment. should be ashamed. and the amounts they charged my insurance- criminal.

mm- center for discovery was the unproductive and unhelpful treatment center that i have been to. The way they run there treatment does not benefit the mind of a person with an eating disorder. For starters they were… always worried about other things like communication outside of treatment and productivity in groups instead of how we were actually doing. Groups were also very unhelpful. In “process” group the workers would get upset with us if we didn’t share, We always used the same material and we didn’t work on our individual needs. Some staff would care to us by taking us outside and doing lessons we needed but others would disregarded what we asked for. I wish that they would listen to recommendations when they are given. Lastly the staff would call out kids all the time. Knowing that certain kids were struggling more then others they would talk about them in meals and groups exploiting there issues. Overall cfd is not a recommended treatment center by me

CFD Bridgewater is a breath of fresh air. The staff are welcoming and supportive, and go above and beyond for their clients. It can feel overwhelming at first, however the therapists, dietitians, and the rest of the… clinical staff work together to provide a well rounded program here and it shows! They accept feedback and individualize group therapy In a way that's beneficial to those who are in attendance. I've been helped tremendously by this facility and am so thankful to be in recovery. Please don't let the negative reviews scare you away. Often times, people's ED voice can take over and fight back against the recovery process, so I'd suggest to take negative reviews with a grain of salt 💕 you are SO worthy of recovery.

While there are some amazing staff members here, it was overall not the best environment. Some staff members have little experience working with eating disorders and unfortunately, it shows. I would highly recommend… looking somewhere else, as I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was very disorganized most of the time, and there appeared to be little communication between staff members. The environment was often very uncomfortable and not always the most conducive to healing. A lot of the therapy groups were not the most helpful. There were two amazing therapists who both happened to leave, which was totally out of their control, but the situation was not really handled the best and let to more disorder. Overall, they weren't very clear on their expectations and seemed to have little idea what they were doing at times. Many of the nutrition groups were good and they have an amazing staff of RD's who were very informative and helpful. Emily, Kristin, Katie, and John are some of the most intelligent and supportive people I've every met. I just wish the staff knew how to properly handle certain situations as it would have made things much better and less distressing for the patients.

Our family needed support and guidance about addressing an eating disorder and CfD provided professional and terrific care. After seeing a therapist who provided zero guidance and help for our family (though she was an… ED specialist, apparently), the therapist at CfD was the first person to identify and begin to address the root causes of the issue. The program staff were well connected and could offer suggestions about resources. The nutritionist Katie was also so helpful in giving practical advice and she ran great parent sessions too.

They were life changing for me. They are a wonderful group of clinicians who really care and if you are ready and willing will teach you the skills you need to be successful in recovery.
