Alliance Medical Services Inc – Pittsburgh (729 Ensign Avenue) Detox and Rehab Services
Alliance Medical Services Inc – Pittsburgh (729 Ensign Avenue) is recorded as offering intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Has a guest I came in to get dosed I was there for 2 hours had nothing but problems not to mention I was only giving a dose for that day and they were closed the next day It was a little ridiculous to say the least.… Thank God there was a nice lady with glasses that helped me but the woman that gave me my dose beyond rude and entitled.
Place saved my life. You get out what. You put in. If you follow the rules you’ll get takehomes. But I really like this clinic my new counselor is Erin, she’s new but super cool and easy to talk too.
My views on this place have completely turned around wonderful place helped me tremendously!
Hello, I’ve been coming out to Alliance for about 16 years. This past year, things have changed, and definitely not for the better. Today I was scheduled for a physical, at 8:00, I was there at 7:50. I was told the… doctor was not in yet. So finally at 8:35, I was called back. Once I was back there, I Sat on the table and the doctor asked me 3 questions~ ~he asked if anything has changed. ~are you feeling ok? ~and has any of your medications changed? Then he said we’re all done, see you later. ~AND THAT WAS IT!! I wasn’t even back there 5 minutes! * *I asked him* * ~are you going to listen to my chest ~check my weight ~or anything He said ‘no’ you’ve been waiting a while, I don’t want to keep you any longer ‼️ I was in awe! That is what my insurance pays for⁉️ a non professional, non caring so called doctor⁉️ Anyone could’ve done the job that he did, ANYONE!! Thank you for your time, I’m patient #8511
Great understanding staflf, The nurses are well educated and are very thoughtful towards patients. great resources offered, great therapist, nice doctor as well .
Been here since 2007 and love. Discory house wasn't bad either.
This clinic is unethical, most of the staff are incompetent including the "program director" and especially the nurses. The nurses who give out methadone think they know everything. I've been there for over a year and… only had a counselor for maybe 3 months because every counselor they hire leaves. This place is just overall messed up. Would not recommend.
*building 2.* Everyone here is ignorant. I've reported numerous incidents that were avoidable with clear communication And respect. The only person here who is respectful and treats you like an adult is marina who is a… five star counselor. Oh, and you aren't allowed to be late unless your pregnant. Even if it's an unavoidable incident or out of personal control. Not even two minutes of their time can be wasted you'll be scorned like a child by three different people for three days after as well even after your counselor mediates the concern and communicates it how it should of been in the first place.
I enjoy going to this clinic, I finally have a counselor that I can relate to. I enjoy every session. When I started here I was such a mess! I walked in so high one day that I went to the dosing window Twice and I had… already taken a lot of Xanax. My life was a big mess. Now that I have been off all of that my life has gotten a lot better. Now that I’m a little more clearer, I can hopefully begin to heal.
I attended this clinic for 8 almost 9 months & when my car was put in the shop I had some issues with getting there for my groups & the counselors there are lacking I actually had 1 that refused to put in my requests… for increases or take homes..... Terrible Clinic even if you do what they expect they're allowed to do whatever they want ....
I’ve been coming to this clinic for about one year now and I’ve started tapering since May from 130mg and I am currently at 45mg. I cannot wait to get done with this place. The management is cold and uncaring. They… establish arbitrary rules that are not in there orientation handbook or ALL the rules of the facility. In addition there are 3 groups you must attend to learn more about the clinic etc. Nothing was learned. They will look for any excuse to not give you take homes. A lot of the counselors here are terrible as well. They’ve been sitting on the job for 20 years and remain ignorant or new studies or ways of detox. And by staying ignorant and not receiving training or taking time to study about it might be helpful. All in all, they have a bunch of rules that they make up along the way especially when it comes to medications like benzos. They don’t have any reputable psychiatrists here. They have a family doctor from a DO school who knows absolutely nothing about methadone and I wonder how she even was able to practice medicine. The other doctor is younger and I’ve never seen her. Anyway, my Psychiatrist attempted to call the clinic several times to speak to the doctors there that 1mg of Lorezpam daily and 130mg of methadone is perfectly fine. He’s board certified and graduated with highest honors at university of pitt med. Yea, they never replied to him or anything. Probably just threw it away. Don’t come here. They’re not good people.
when I went to alliance I was 37 and a transfer. I got pregnant quickly after I moved to this facility. I know this should never have happened to a new mom, infact,i was 3 days out of hospital from giving birth.i was… being dosed at 205 mlgms up until the day I went back to the clinic.I was 3 days post partum and I suffer from depression,,anxiety and of course addiction.my dose was cut down in one day from 205 to 120 mgms.the doctor thought since the birth was over the methadone levels could be dropped that much in one day.needless to say it took a month to readjust!I'm not the only one who has had 20 plus mgms taken off them at once.its cruel and I've never seen or heard of it being moral!STOP THESE CLUNICS FROM DOING WATEVER THEY WANT TO WHOMEVER!
I transferred in to alliance. Been here 3 years now.. have had the same counselor since day 1. I love her. Also, reagan is a very, very good counselor. She goes above and beyond anything I've ever seen to help clients.… Two good counselors, Bridgette and Reagan. They actually Care about their clients..... your not just a number to them. Your a person!!!!
I have been here for two yrs. People who complain usually have broken rules and are upset about it. This place is a bit disorganized and if you work make sure you go early as to have time for any unseen issues like… holds that could take some extra time out of your day. Counselors come and go like any clinic really. You get what you put in basically. I have take home privliages and inky go twice a week. All in all... if you want to be held accountable and need a good life change it's worth a shot! Good luck!
I have been going there over 2 years now and I left off one star for the disorganization and chaos that goes on a lot. My counselor Chris is good.. She really pushes, listens, and gives feedback. I like it a lot better… than Tadiso. To each their own though. I recommend this form of treatment after all else has failed. Just 3 years ago I was likely to die and I decided one day that I was done being sick and I dedicated myself to doing the program and I have made a lot of progress. It takes dedication to keep up a habit so making a trip to get your medicine daily for 90 days shouldn't be an issue. If you give clean urines you SHOULD be able to get weekends off. Sunday's are guaranteed a day off now here. I have earned my way up in a year, if you stay clean and meet with your counselor instead of ducking them you will make progress. I have found Methadone to be more successful for me than Suboxone. The daily routine is actually rather helpful for me. Your place at any recovery medical facility is based on YOU.. You can blame any nurse, counselor, security, etc.. Ultimately it's what YOU are making of the situation. Do the right thing and stay away from fellow addicts in those places or don't.. It's all up to you and your choices.
This is the absolute worst clinic in Allegheny county, take home privileges are taken away for being “rude” dosages are dropped for any reason or made up rule. Like your cholesterol is too high. They badger your PCP and… want monthly interaction with them. PmTake home Privileges are routinely taken away as I mentioned for Un written rules and NEVER RESTORED. 13 years, never a fail on drug screen no take homes— AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Save yourself tremendous grief and aggravation !!!
I've been a patient here for many years. I've had no problems other than the location. The closest bus stop is appx a mile, and the walk to/from the bus stop requires walking down a 4 lane highway. Rt 51. There is no… sidewalk so you have to walk down a dirt/mud trail between the guardrail and Saw Mill Creek. The program itself is very good. Just follow the rules, be serious about your recovery, and you will not have problems like the ppl who are writing reviews that are complaints. My reason for 4 stars and not 5 is just the accessibility.
