My daughter has been going here for a couple of years unfortunately, for anxiety medication. You can never reach the front desk. I have left 3 messages in the past few days stating that my daughter was almost out of… meds. I requested an appointment and bridge and not one call back. Not to mention when I have had appointments and would never get a video call link, I’d have to call and remind them to send it….. multiple times in the past couple of years. I literally hate this place.

Worst place I’d rather stick to CBI they take no initiative to care for their patients my daughter has been waiting for a reply for almost two months and nothing yet I will be filing grievances because my daughter needs… her medication and care

I've coming here for years, not because I want to, but because it's where my insurance sends me. I would go somewhere else if I could. You can't ever get in touch with the front desk. You have go down in person. I've… had switched through therapists because either they're uncaring and seemed bored or they are outright incompetent. I had sessions scheduled and when I went down there, they said I didn't have an appointment despite having the therapist message me he secluded me. It happened TWICE. They seem unreliable most of the time. I have a new therapist now. Again I could choose a different place I would. Go somewhere else.

Dear Manager/HR Leader, I would like to report an additional concern regarding an employee named Zobi, aside from the HIPAA violation I recently reported. I came across a text message in which she expressed… inappropriate views about patients at her current place of employment. As someone working in the healthcare field, particularly with individuals experiencing behavioral or mental health challenges, it is deeply concerning and unacceptable for her to refer to patients as “crazy.” Patients of all ages come to your facility seeking genuine behavioral and mental health support. These individuals are acknowledging their conditions and actively seeking professional help, which should be met with compassion, dignity, and respect. I have grave concerns regarding the lack of empathy and professionalism displayed by this staff member, as this behavior appears inconsistent with the standard of safe, respectful, and adequate patient care that should be upheld. I respectfully ask that this matter be taken seriously to help preserve a culture of professionalism, compassion, and accountability within your organization. Patients of all ages deserve sincere care, understanding, and support during vulnerable times in their lives. I hope this concern is thoroughly reviewed and that appropriate action is taken. Thank you for your time and attention. To patients or family members receiving services here: I reported a HIPAA violation on 4/30/2026 and was contacted by the Quality Management Director, who stated they were investigating the matter. I was told I would be CC’d on an email regarding the investigation, but I never received any follow-up communication. I called again during the week of 5/11/2026 to request an update, as this is a serious concern involving patient privacy. I never received a email or phone call back. At this time, based on my understanding, no accountability action but a signed form was given regarding the involvement of the employee. Please take this into consideration when deciding where to receive care and services. Patient privacy and confidentiality should always be treated as a priority.

I'm not necessarily impressed with the lack of professionalism from the office staff, who are never available by phone and hardly answer email requests for information. It may be very difficult to contact them unless… you are in the office. It is not convenient for me to always go into the office to get ahold of the office staff to make or change appointments. I am lucky to be able to schedule with my counselor directly and attend appointments via telehealth when necessary. Alex is very knowledgeable and competent. I appreciate all his efforts to do the best job possible, and he is better with children than adults, as I did not have the best experience there, but he takes good care of my son. Nikole is super helpful and guides us through counseling without a hitch, as she is a great communicator and on top of things, especially when scheduling, because she is very upfront and accommodating.

You should definitely believe all the people that say they don't answer or respond back to clients, it's ridiculous why they haven't been investigated for miss management. It is correct if you say something they dont… like they will dismiss you and ignor you. My daughters medication prescribing doctor caused a two weeks laps in medication. This resulted in her severely harming herself and ended up at the hospital then at an inpatient facility. When I asked the doctor why he put a two weeks delay on her medication, he lied. He said he can't make a prescription available to a new patient soon than two weeks and that is the law??? Because I questioned him, he said I was rude and will no longer be her prescribing doctor. He did write one last prescription for 30 days, that was 30 days ago. Out of all Southwest locations in the valley, all of a sudden they dont have any doctors that she can see. Even though they advertise some location are open untill 7, they do not offer service between 6pm and 7pm. Well they have caused a laps in prescription again and will not bridge her prescription. They have left her without medication or a doctor to see. The high case needs management team is horrible I have been try to schedule a C.F.T to get the medication straight. This is my 3rd week with no C.FT. with Southwest knowing she was going to run out of medication. This place need to be investigated A.S.A.P. To make matter worse they will respond to this review with their generic resposonse, but yet do nothing about it. The reviews have been saying this for years, yet nothing has changed. Vindictive staff, no communication, ignoring patients needs, cause physical and mental harm to patients, withholding medication. Unbelievable and very disappointed.

Terrible place!! They never answer the phone, I've had to drive there to get an appointment booked. Then I finally called scheduled an appointment (that they said needed to be in person) to show up and they had no… record of the appointment!! So they scheduled it for the following week. I showed up to my appointment that they said needed to be in person - and they told me the Dr had gone home! They brought me to his office with a laptop to have a zoom meeting!! Its almost too comical to be true - but that's how they operate mental health care!!!

They do not working to improve anything, the staff are disrespectful and no one answers I called over 8 times trying to get in touch with someone!!! I have court and I’m supposed to complete my classes and nobody knows… how to communicate I wonder if the workers are there just for a check.this place needs to be closed because they are capitalizing on peoples insurance and money and not providing services. The front desk workers in the afternoon are horrible. You can tell they have never worked in a drug and mental health facility before. When they do something wrong there is always one of their friends/coworker to back… them up even when that employee did something wrong. They will hold your doses in order to gain control of you. You cannot speak your opinion even in a calm manner. I was extremely disrespected by a rude front desk worker and They disciplined me for her disrespect. Don’t go here and get caught up. You are setting yourself up for failure. I can promise you the majority of people that work here are there for the check. Not because they want to work in the mental health field. The front desk workers are extremely disrespectful and should be replaced.

The customer service is deplorable! Based on my experience with the prescriber Alex Suarez Mendez, I will be seeking services elsewhere for my child. No one ever answers the phone or calls back. I was calling for over a… month to get medications transferred to a different location. They would do things and not communicate with me about them which led me to frustration and continually trying to reach them. When they finally got the refill put in they did it to the wrong pharmacy much further from my house and I can't have it transferred because it's a med that has to be called in to the pharmacy directly from the prescriber. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I would NOT recommend these services to anyone who wants to feel respected, valued or prioritized by their health care team.

Update after couple months SMI team is great they text back in a timely manner for my daughters meds . The case manager although we were told if we called and left messages they would get right back to us after a week… of emails and voicemails and messages with other staff still waiting on a phone call back. I hate to say but this facility truly needs an audit , to see all the low rating stars that should say something ! people come here for help and they end up feeling more frustrated and messed up than when they started because they feel they have no help at the places that are supposed to help them . I don't get it these are people not paychecks ,they are trying and being ignored ! My daughter deserves better and sadly places are far and not decent not many places offer good help where people care . Hopefully they get it together . Everyone here is super friendly I did have a few hiccups with the appointments but they were rectified and they were very upfront and owning their error also they work fast when they're sending applications for SMI and they work fast when you're in need for medication so all in all we're pretty pleased But the problem is communication and making appointments, they fail to actually inter your appointments into the system thus we showed up 2 times no appointment was actually scheduled though they wrote in on our appointments card . They never answer the phone I have to email more than one person hoping we get a response. It's ridiculous and causes more mental stress than anything especially when you have to get medication before it runs out. Nice people but not reliable sadly this is where the insurance sent my daughter so and there's not a message service to leave a voicemail when you call the Main Line same thing with the SMI sode no message we get disconnected. My daughter is late on her medication because of the error they made and I tried calling so many times. This is the part that worries me for mental health needing a reliable stable place . We have seen we can't really trust and have to stress call day after day to do their Job on confirmation of appointments and dates . Need to be looked into on why they have so many issues .

Customer service is not a factor here. There is no professionalism or common office courtesy. I needed service for 3 and yet only 1 was able to get in and the therapy was basically a blame game on others around us. My… 2nd needed an evaluation we waited almost a month for an appt. And the day before the appt they called to make It virtual the MD was late and when we were going through phone hiccups he disconnected the meeting without even a reason as to why. I expected him to say why don’t we reschedule or something along those lines but no just hang up in our face. So disrespectful! It’s sad when you know mental illness goes so untreated and these are some key factors as to why. Thankful our situation isn’t dangerous because no one at SW behavioral would have been able to help me.

Counseling services For those who may be considering services here and are looking for counseling that respects more traditional or principled values. In my experience, I found that the guidance leaned heavily toward a… more individualistic perspective, even in situations where accountability and mutual respect should have been central to the conversation. There were moments where concerns I brought up were met with responses that felt dismissive of deeper values or boundaries. It left me feeling like the standard being used was “whatever feels right to the individual,” rather than taking into account the impact on others or the health of relationships. This may not be an issue for everyone, but if you’re someone who’s looking for counseling that upholds more grounded or value-based support, it might be worth asking in advance about the counselor’s approach to certain topics. This is just something I wish I had known beforehand. Especially counselors who are younger, this was my experience here.

Looking for a therapist that's affordable? This MIGHT be a goof fit for you. Let's find out. 1. First things first, this place has some good therapists - I repeat - some. During my visitstions, I have gone through about… 6 different people to find someone who works best with me and/or does their job to begin with. But nonetheless, I did in fact find one that I loved and was actually working with me to make like better. 2. They're willing to help you and adjust to whom or what you need but do tend to push medication on you right away before getting enough information. When I first started, I was an angry teen who didn't want to even be here. Trying to open up was just the absolute worst, especially if the therapist I was paired with just wasn't the right fit or good at their job. Once I found the right one, I began looking forward to my visits. Crazy, right? 3. They even wrote a letter stating my dog was my ESA (Emotional Support Animal) and let me bring her to my visits. I don't know if it's changed anytime in the last few years but it was a lot of help for me. 4. They're super clean - like freakishly. There's no trash even in the trash cans, the carpets are spotless, the bathrooms are stocked with their necessities, etc. 5. Speed. For the most part, they are pretty accurate with their scheduling and get you in there. Now granted, if you spend a little extra time since it's been such a healthy session, they don't rush you out. They gave a smooth transition to end the session and get you set up for next time. Try it out. You night like it. Or you won't. I don't know you.

We’ve had the worst experience with them so far. First nobody at the front desk knows what insurances they take except for the manager. Nobody EVER answers the phone when you try to call them, even though there are 4… girls sitting at the front desk. We had to drive there to just schedule online appointment, which they rescheduled twice the day of, then they scheduled at 7am “by mistake?!” when the provider’s first appointment is at 8am. They scheduled it for few days later then and never sent the link to it. And never even apologize for what was going on! So incompetent and unprofessional! The providers seem to be ok but the rest of the staff obviously don’t know what they are doing! And they are supposed to help people with mental issues?!!!! All my daughter needs is a change in meds for her ADHD! We have Tricare so we are limited to where we can go, but I really consider just paying money and go somewhere else! This is how the veterans’ departments being treated! I am so frustrated and disappointed with the system and the medical care we get! 😡😡😡

This place contributes to mental health issues because of the anxiety of never being able to reach them. I loved my therapist but it’s impossible to reach this facility. I was leaving the country for a month and was… unable to reach anyone to get a prescription refill in time. I ended up going to my PCP and he refills my prescription regularly from now on. Southwest behavioral: please do not reply to this message with the same standard reply to every person who has complained about the communication saying you are aware of the phone issues. Please only reply to this review once the phone issue is resolved which is going on over a year now…

Not sure what's going on at this facility. The last 3 telehealth visits we have scheduled for our sons medication refills have been via telehealth. We waited on the webex room at 420 his appt time, the call hung up and… said the meeting holder left the meeting. I called them 5 times, to get ahold of the front desk and finally the 6th time someone told me they would get the psych provider on. And nothing, we waited until 5pm to make sure he wasn't having technical difficulties. The front desk and supportive staff are not helpful, and we can never get ahold of anyone. We will be transferring care, and hopefully Arizona will get it together and get more child psychiatrists in the state other than this company!

Don't go here unless you have no other option. They NEVER answer the phone, and do not return calls. I started my daughter in therapy for her body image issues and on the 2nd visit my daughter was told that her… therapist does not specialize in what my daughter needs. My daughter is struggling and when she was told that she felt like she was majorly broken. This place is a joke. Make the 20 extra minute drive and go further in for your needs

I don’t really have a choice but to go to this location which I’m sure others are in the same predicament, but it is not very professional. They never answer the phone, I called and called to reschedule an appointment… and they never answered or called back and then told me I was marked as a no call no show. Previously they scheduled my son’s appointment for 8am and whomever opens the doors didn’t arrive until 8:15. Whenever the doctor tells me to ask my document questions at the front desk, they act like I speak another language. Definitely no help here, I go in for virtual visits with a doc from PHX and I dread it every time!

It’s terrifying that you cannot reach anyone at this facility by phone. Plan on taking 45 minutes to continually call until you reach someone. The therapists are great but the customer service employees are HORRIBLE.

Front desk clerks are rude and they never answer the phone! However, I am very happy with my provider, Alex Suarez Mendez. He's awesome!
