I was hospitalized for a 2nd time at this facility. I was confused and unsure what was going on. Despite being agitated and irritated myself, the staff was very patient. Obviously, being in crisis they treated me like a… sick patient, because I was. When I became more aware the staff were accommodating- within reason. I asked for a beginner ALS print off sheet because I was having trouble talking and the techs in the unit made it happen. I’m just one person but I felt safe enough. The food isn’t terrible and the schedules posted helped orientate me. I like this facility compared to others I heard of. The visiting hours and possession policies were confusing, but they answered my questions when they could. Thank you to all the staff. Hopefully I don’t have to come back but at least I know this resource is here.
DO NOT COME HERE THEY WILL OPENLY GOSSIP ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS MAKING EVERYONE UNCOMFORTABLE, THEY WILL LAUGH AND MAKE FUN OF YOU FOR COMING IN SEEKING HELP PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE NO HELP THEY MAKING… THINGS WORSE :(
The staff needs to not lie to the families about their love ones. While my son was there I was told nothing but lies 🥴 And the reception lady was very rude! She wouldn’t even look at me because she knew she had lied I… think they should be truthful with the family. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
They can't even answer the phone so lazy 🦥
I am appalled at the lack of empathy and apathy for their patients. My legs have bothered me since the beginning of my stay as it is hard flooring. I repeatedly asked for my shoes (just have to take the laces out is it… that hard?) and they refuse to help. I simply asked to lay down in my room, and was told no. Yet, patients nodding off around the unit, miserable. I should have trusted everyone else who posted a review. Not recommended.
Thank you for helping my son and my daughter in law 💙❣️👣🙏
This place was amazing best place I have ever been to just lovely staff and food is honestly amazing and snacks galore lol goldfishes
I'm currently in the process of reaching out to Chris Ruble about what happened to me at this facility. And to the generated response to low ratings, the entire hospital knows the situation because my Dr had a meeting… with staff about it. My suggestion is be prepared to be treated as an inmate, be lied to repeatedly, possibly get sick from undercooked chicken, get attitudes from techs, nurses etc, have your clothes lost then see someone wearing them, staff not knowing how to properly handle situations that could turn really bad really fast, staff giggling/bad mouthing (about) you behind their desk, crackers for every snack, questionable water handed with meds, loud patients yelling, talking loud, playing their music loud yet none of the workers say anything to them, being in a place where the acoustics is so amazing you could fart in your room and hear it down the hall, so imagine everyone talking at once or those who have to yell to talk. I've written several complaints about this facility (NAMI, ADA, KRIS) to let everyone i can know about what's really happening here. Big shouts to Romona, happiness, that one male tech that actually sat down to talk to me about sleep and healing being connected, and that is all. Several times this place pushed me past my limit. Held me against my wishes to leave, ignored me having a full panic attack, gaslit me, patronized me, and treated me as a child who didn't know better. Copper Springs of Avondale, shame on you
Beautiful setting great staff
I just wanted to take a moment and give a compliment to Carol H. at the Front Desk at Copper Springs in Avondale, Az! I’m 18 years sober but, I’ve been having a really hard time coping with my PTSD symptoms (and other… mental health issues… like ADHD 😜)… and I was expecting to have an evaluation tonight and then come back next week to commit to their 5-10 day inpatient program. But, they didn’t have any women’s beds. I was just so overwhelmed, anxious, disappointed, etc… and I really needed to leave on positive note. Carol took a few minutes and let me share some of my “God Shots” in sobriety, photos on my phone of some (crazy) old wilderness hobbies… and of course bragging about how proud I am of my adult son. Her genuine kindness and compassion was so beautiful and I left smiling with a heart full of hope! She also was very knowledgeable and if she didn’t know the answer she knew exactly who to ask… always ensuring that I was given accurate information! She clearly understood by observation that misinformation causes me a tremendous amount of anxiety… and she made it her priority to educate me and empower me with knowledge about their program! I’m sad it didn’t work out as I expected but, I am so grateful for my interaction with Carol… I feel better leaving than I did arriving!! I highly recommend Copper Springs in Avondale, AZ!
Very easy to understand. Thank you
This place isn’t very professional I came to pick up a family member and they denied to fill out my FMLA PAPERWORK because the doctor stated that he doesn’t practice outside of Arizona we know that. Im from a whole… other state and here for a love one. Nevvvvvvver!!! Very unprofessional no business name on the letter they gave instead of doing my paperwork no fax number no email no phone or credentials.
My name is Alexander Rucker, but I'm known as Brooklyn in my brand is GMLB got my life back. And what I want to talk about is one place in particular will help me get that. Copper springs inpatient and copper springs… changes outpatient PHP and IOP. From the moment I walked in here all hands was on deck we came to the help and support that I needed, I've been a motivational speaker for quite some time now and one of the main things I tell people is a closed mouth does not get fed. From the moment I arrived I let everyone know why I was here but I had going through and where I'm trying to go with my life everyone from the nurses doctors sites clinical staff all play in hand and where I am today everyone from the receptionist the director had a hand and me doing this message today. This PHP and IOP program has helped me tremendously not only with my mental health but getting me to where I am today just in life in general. Everyone's past is different but mines is to give back what was graciously given to me I'm now a lead BHT for new life wellness retreat I have all my certifications and my fingerprinting, and a company I work for is ready to invest in my own non-profit GMLB got my life back 😁 when I'm trying to say is this from the receptionist Mark to director Jordan Christine Bruno therapist Dr Kramer and I wish I knew was director's name but I want to give him his props too every morning this man comes in and gets us all with a smile confirm handshake it is very concerned about I will being and how we're doing. I would love to come back one day and volunteer my time and services, cuz out of everything I've learned from the PHP to IOP, from NA to AA, The one thing that stuck out to me the most is you can't keep it unless you give it away so I would love to come back to copper springs one day and give the clients my story of experience strength and hope. And maybe my story will change people's lives at copper springs just like they changed mines. 🙏🙏🙏👊 I thank God for having a place like copper springs🙏😇, I'll be keeping them in my prayers for many more years of success. To Brooklyn GMLB got my life back family is in full support of copper springs 👊👊👊👊
Today my son showed up at my house and asked me to take him to detox to get off fentanyl. He lives on the streets. So I took him to Copper Springs. 2 hours later he comes out and said "they won't take me" I don't know… what they look for in their evaluation but they had a man that was wanting/asking for help to get off the worse drug in this world and they turned him away. I do not understand!! Is it because he has state insurance? This is not something he can do on his own, yet they wouldn't help him. WHY??? I had to drop him back of in the streets until we can figure out another plan. I pray everyday he lives until we can find him help. This place is a disgrace!
Good changes happening over there, and amazing Outpatient program
My therapist recommended I reach out to Copper Springs and I’m glad I did. Everyone communicated with me and shout out to Ashley for answering all my questions about the treatment process and for allowing me to reach… out after discharge with questions.
Great professional help
Mistreated my wife and a friend of mine most nurses there are rude and talk about badly about the patients a lot and cuss and back talk to the patients and show no empathy and the supervisor I believe his name is Carl… he does not care about the patients and their concerns. if you REALLY have to go here then go here but other then that avoid at all times !!!
If a place deserved a negative star it's here, only 1 out of every 7 staff shows genuine attention to patients, on reception not given proper cleaning supplies, floors improperly cleaned leaving crumbs and liter… everywhere, and food is as close to bare minimum of edible as the state will allow. If you love someone and want them to get help don't ever send them here. Get a therapist instead.
I had been here before and the staff and treatment was good but this time was the complete opposite for the moment they open the door they were rejecting they seem not wanting to help but annoyed that I was present I… don't know what happened to this facility but it is something I would avoid completely there are many other behavioral health clinics around the valley you should try especially like Aurora much better than this place .
I had such an amazing experience thanks to two incredible RNs, Tami and Happiness. From the moment I walked in, they both made me feel comfortable, cared for, and truly valued as a patient. Their professionalism is… top-tier, but what really stood out was the genuine kindness and warmth they brought to every interaction. Steven Garcia
Do not send people here to get help. You find pretty quick this is more about keeping rooms filled and insurance companies billed. Mental health is the least of their concerns. No insurance no help. You have insurance… you can't leave you are a danger.
I just want to share my experience my first time there was in November I didn't think I was getting anything from it when I got out I realized I did I just went back Christmas Eve Christmas and New Year's there's a… reason why I went back because I felt safe heard and comfortable my only complaint would be if you are reading this cuz you want to see if it's the right facility for you make sure it's something you want to do make sure you know when you walk through those doors if you're there to get help I was so tired of hearing people complain about being there trying to Amma just attitudes throwing things just mad about being there when you really want help it doesn't matter how long you're there you really want the help if you're really struggling you would do it but don't go there and expect it they're going to have your insomnia or your depression or your anxiety fixed in two days and you can go home I'm sitting at home right now writing this because I already feel like I have to go back I already feel like my body is heading there but just know that when you go in it's not all peaches and cream you have to want to be there have to make the best of it and when you make the best of it works just know that you need this time to get better don't harass the employees about leaving because you're not getting your medication or you feel like you don't need to be there anymore then don't go I watched the employees get harassed almost every day from somebody that thought they were going to get something different out of it and wanted to leave I can tell you right now this place has changed my life and like I said I feel like I need to go back already and that tells you something it tells you that it's working and you feel comfortable and safe there I know a lot of these reviews are bad but that's because people expect to get out after a couple days just know that you will be there from 7 to 10 days not everybody but mostly so if you're reading this please understand the process respect the process if it's something you really want then take advantage of it but don't go in there and harass the stuff because you want to go
