I don’t like Mr. Boone. I don’t want to go to Mr. Boone. Messing with my meds. Honestly want to find someone else. Never had these issues before. Not in over 20 years.
updated review. I don’t know why this place gets such bad reviews I’m not sure what experience others have had but mine has been nothing but positive , the front desk do there best to respond when you walk in with… multiple people you have to be patient. But the name changepoint is exactly what happened for me , I felt heard, seen and cared about for the last 2 years in my 20’s Dr til you was my second doctor for a second opinion and anytime i have a concern or a question or want to try something he doesn’t judge or withhold opportunity to try what works for you as far as medication. He is phenomenal at making sure your prescription is sent immediately the assistants are sweet always smiling and going as fast as they can to get to everyone. I think this 2 star review doesn’t define changepoint because change point left a positive mark on me that I’ll never forget the name is true and I’m forever grateful thank you for your hard work.
Betsy, the medical assistant is a horrible person. I’m shocked that such a mean spirited person works in the mental health field. She should be fired immediately!!
I called the separate medical facility twice in order to schedule a follow-up appointment and was kicked off the line both times. I resorted to calling the counseling facility in an attempt to be rerouted to scheduling.… The first time I called a very kind employee was able to help redirect me, and he said to call back again if it did not work. Unfortunately the line fell through again, so I called back to inform them that it had not worked. When I did the phone was answered by a woman. I explained the situation thoroughly to her, emphasizing I knew they did not usually make psychiatric appointments and that I was only calling back to let them know it hadn’t worked. She cut me off several times to condescendingly tell me they only do counseling, even though I told her I already knew that. She passively aggressively suggested I call the medical facility even though I had already told her I had tried twice, providing me with the exact same phone number I told her SEVERAL TIMES I already tried to call. Eventually she transferred me to scheduling and thankfully it worked. I was calm and did not raise my voice the entire phone call, only becoming irritated when I had to repeat information she’d already been informed of many times. She, however, was incredibly rude from the second the conversation started. This is not about what capabilities the counseling facility has, this is about me being treated poorly for trying to solve an issue that I was having because of CHANGE POINT. Even if I was mistakenly calling the wrong building, that’s no way to handle the situation. As a mental health facility, this attitude is absolutely unacceptable. Front desk should not react with hostility to simple confusion, and certainly not treat people like they’re stupid (which is what it felt like whilst she was not listening to me). And if I'm correct, this same front desk employee was EXCESSIVELY rude to my mother a few months back when I was actively having a severe mental health crisis, and she truly impeded my ability to receive care. My mother had to hang up and speak to somebody else, and when she did, she was provided with a plethora of information that was entirely different from the information the original woman provided. This could or could not be the same person, but either way it was a front desk employee at this facility. If I was a new patient seeking counseling, I'd write off this facility at best, and I'd stop seeking treatment entirely at worst. I’ve had mountains of problems with BOTH buildings’ front desk and reception. Unfortunately, I’ll be starting to look for other mental health options after this since I finally have the privilege of leaving Show Low. But this is the only available mental health care for many people struggling in the area, and this isn’t the first time your front desk employees have been untactful. Thank you to the employee I spoke to originally for being very helpful and kind. I hope maybe one day the entire front desk staff is filled with people like him instead.
If you can go anywhere else, go somewhere else. I've been waiting two months for my appointment with Vicky Rae and it was today at 2 pm. It was a phone appointment. When she never called me, I called them. First they… just transferred me to her voice mail. I called again at 2:30 and asked if I was even on the schedule. They canceled my appointment and never told me. Vicky Rae is not even in the office this week. Now she's booked out till October.
I spoke with a very rude front desk person and knew right then... I do not want services from this place. ha
Hellen in the insurance department was incredibly helpful and very professional!
Staffs is soo help and informational and vert friendly. Very comfortable talking with the associates.
Very disappointed that they took Randall Allen off as a therapist because he was moving to NM. He supported me and so many other clients wonderfully and now he is gone!!! I don't even want to continue therapy with… anyone else here. He does telehealth only- there should be no reason they could not continue to have his clients!!!!!!!!
Program director Jessica was not truthful when my children were discharged and it caused them to not be able to be seen a year and a half later. She has been bias against me since she made claims I recorded a Counsling… session which did not happen. She also refuses to give me her state board number for a complaint in her. They have been withholding medical information about my children too. These people will mess around with your children’s mental health more than help them. Just look at their reviews 🤷🏼♂️
Horrible people that shouldn't be working in mental health. Only seem to care about money not you!!
The ladies working the front desk need new jobs. They're so hateful...
It was a miracle.I was so happy here.People like myself going threw life changes. The staff were great and very helpful. The food was great ,The people I were with were lost then found .I spent 5 days at this place and it… was the greatest experience in my whole 63 years on this earth.Ive been to prison, jails etc and none of them had a lasting positive impression. This place has left me with that positive impression that there is a hopeful tommarow.Thank you Change point and your whole staff.David Grutzmacher
Put me on syc meds and then forgot about me
I have been seeing Heath Lindsey for over 6 months. He have got me blood pressure managed better than any other doctor I have seen. He gave me some bad news (all my doing from years of smoking, don’t smoke!!) after some… tests we did. He kept everything positive and I did leave as sad I as I could have. He takes the time to throughly explains things and you can tell he genuinely cares. He also really good with my daughter who has to come to the appointments with me. So nice to have such a great small town healthcare provider.
The front desk staff and check in nurse are the meanest nattiest persons Ive ever encountered especially at a mental health facility. Remember whom your patience are, we are mentally ill, your nasty attitudes and rude… dispositions can affect and impact my mental health the rest of the day. Maybe they need to be patients too and not just employed there. Ya'll need some happy pills or a new job, this is getting reported as far as I can take it.
‼ Sorry I know this review is long but I definitely recommend you reading this before coming here‼It was my first time ever having to go to a hospital like this one and so it was my first time here and honestly it… SUCKED‼ If I was able to give them 0 stars I definitely would of. The techs in the morning were horrible with us except for kendra. There was not one day that we didn't have problems with them. Phyllis and Dee seemed to get mad when I complained about them to the night staff, phyllis was one that seemed to always get annoyed when one of us (the patients) will ask her for anything so she'll ask one of the other techs to get us what we needed, another thing is that the techs were always talking about stuff they shouldn't because it's just not professional. Not only did they get really upset and made me feel worser than I already was but they also made all the other patients feel worse. Me and this other patient had to talk to the manager to file a complaint because these works here are just not helpful. DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND COMING HERE IF YOU NEED HELP‼
They prescribed me the wrong medication and had me on all kinds of medication I was suicidal please if u need help go to copper springs in Gilbert
Not so good on the "rehab". But there's not much choice on this mountain. I was detoxed and my stay was ok. Good food, I got what I needed... for a minute. 3 yrs sober now but it took going outside the region for rehab… and lots of continued AA.
Joann at the front desk needs a different job. I cant tell you how their services are, I couldnt get past her stuck up "I have better things to do than deal with you" attitude. And I was trying to get set up as a new… client. Absolutely deplorable.
Avoid. Go anywhere but here, Do NOT make them your primary care. Major confidentiality issues.
