RCA is an amazing recovery center, the staff really care about you and will help you in any way they can. The program is so structured and each class helps you in so many different ways. Please if you are having trouble… with addiction reach out to them and you will be so happy that you did.
I had the most amazing experience at Mount Dora Recovery Center of America! Not knowing what to expect let my imagination run wild and then I became pleasantly shocked when I arrived and placed in a room. It was just… like moving into my own apartment. Everyone on the RSS Staff were extremely supportive and helpful, which relaxed me a lot. After meeting Jess and Jen during therapy sessions I immediately felt their heartfelt appreciation for helping me. I realize that every employee has a job to do at the center but I immediately felt their passion for their job. I honestly would have left before completing the program if it was not for their efforts in helping me to understand that I was worth fighting for sobriety. I will be eternally grateful for all they did to guide me through all of my obstacles. I, along with my entire family, want to express our heartfelt love to you both. Jess and Jen, you both saved my life, marriage and family. My life changing experience would never had happened if it were not for Mike in finance. Thank you so much for your commitment to helping others. You are truly one of a kind. Thank you!! Alumni Mike, your efforts in helping all of us who completed the program should not go unnoticed. The speakers that you coordinated to come and talk to us as a group were amazingly helpful and needed to show us that recovery is possible. If you ever need me for anything I will be honored to help. To all that read this review, the four staff members that I mentioned are extremely professional and committed to helping you in your journey as long as you put in maximum effort, you have my word on that fact. Thank you all. Fifty days sober and loving life!!!!
Very caring and hopeful they go above and beyond for people that need help and restarting their life. Well, they did for me anyways.
From the time I can in the front doors, I was well taken care of by nursing staff and medical staff who got me on the right medication and helped stabilize me. I came in shaking and not feeling good and the calibrated… me and I'm feeling good now. I was very pleased with the very large campus lots of walking paths and nature on lots of acres. You can walk around the pond if you like very serene. Calming. Even though I came in for substance abuse and drinking I feel like I benefited hugely from my mental health. The therapist helped find the root of my problem which was larger than drinking and I had no idea. After my stay they found me aftercare that was a great fit for me. RCA Mount dora staff everyone was perfect and great everything from the food here to the groups Staff here are amazing. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking help.
Where do I even start?… When I called in and spoke to the admissions gentleman, he made us a bunch of promises he couldn’t keep. This is supposed to be a work flex program and I want you to know if you’re going there… for that it is not. We were promised that we would be able to work from 4 to 7 hours a day Monday through Friday. Once we arrived, we were told that my husband was gonna be put on a seven day blackout. Prior to him being able to work. Then the gentleman who worked there for about A week because both our admissions coordinators were brand new and had no idea what they were doing. Told my husband that he would Narcan him when our last use was about 12 hrs prior. I saw a review that said that there’s no TVs in the room so I called and I asked about that specific location and said are there TVs in the room and was told yes. Come to find out there are no TVs in the room so I asked the lady who worked there am I supposed to just sit in the dark while I’m projectile vomiting? I asked to speak to the director Pat and all she did was cut me off And say originally, I was supposed to come in by myself, which is also not true because we’ve been looking for facilities for the both of us and the only reason I chose that was because of the work flex program. I would not go here even if you paid me because nobody communicates with each other. Everybody on staff is brand new and has no idea what they’re doing. My husband was also told that as soon as he falls asleep, he was gonna get Narcan and the tech opened up the Narcan and put it on the desk as a threat. Mind you, it was 4 o’clock in the morning. I was also told that when we got there, we would be medicated And then the tech told me that she would only give me comfort meds. We drove three hours to get to this facility just for them to waste our time treat us like garbage and lie about everything that was said. They blamed not having TVs on being a new facility by the way when recovery centers of America is a huge franchise. There was one staff member who actually understood what was going on, but the rest of them were rude and to be honest horrible. Don’t bother wasting your breath, speaking with the director because it’s just a waste of time. She likes to talk over people instead of listen and she’s very Inappropriate. Before getting there, I asked if they had any food available because we were hungry and I asked if it was OK if we stopped and got a meal because they said they didn’t have any food please don’t waste your time coming to this facility. They promise you everything and once you get there and you’re stuck, they screw you over. I have never been so disgusted with a treatment center in my life.
RCA Mt. Dora genuinely cares for the well being of their residents and it shows in their every efforts from each and every staff member. From day one intake process to coin out graduation, each step of my recovery… journey here at RCA Mt Dora was handled with the utmost professionalism and absolute care. The intake coordinators I spoke with over the phone took their time to hear my every concern regarding my addiction journey and the level of treatment I knew I needed, and accessed my fit for RCA accordingly. They arranged transportation to the facility so that I arrived safely and my intake was done promptly. My journey through the treatment process, though challenging (as it should be,) was healing and therapeutic because of the amazing clinical staff members and the extensive hard work and dedication to their roles and their resident(s) recovery: therapist -Jessica G. and counselor - Jen D. Thank you Jessica and Jen for your every investment and belief in me and my ability to recover. The Trauma Egg assignment was my biggest obstacle and you both supported me through every step, I cannot thank you enough for the encouragement. For any addict who needs a place to recover, I cannot recommend RCA Mt Dora enough. Everything about this treatment facility has been an amazing and enriching experience. The kitchen staff is amazing and the meals are excellent, the nursing staff is amazing and genuinely cares for the residents well being, safety and comfort, the RSS team has true and genuine investment in clients safety and recovery, the alumni facilitator wants to ensure continued recovery after program graduation, the Executive staff interacts personally with clients to ensure their experience is a positive and beneficial one. The facility campus is beautiful and well maintained. I am truly grateful to RCA Mt. Dora and every single staff member onboard!
The staff is amazing! The care they show each individual client is outstanding, the kitchen staff and RSS staff go above and beyond to insure that clients are comfortable and happy. I came here a complete wreck and in… such a short time I actually feel like I have a fighting chance at life again, I am extremely grateful to these people.
The staff is wonderful, the treatment team really does a great job! The food was also good and the gym was a great place. Very thankful for my time at RCA and for everyone who helped me here during my recovery.
More then gatrateful to be here. Help me with my mental, recovery, and everything. This place will not give up on you! Thank you RCA!
I had an overall positive experience at RCA Recovery center in Mount Dora. The grounds are beautiful, and many of the nurses are attentive, responsive, and truly care about patients. Some of the RSS staff were also… amazing and made a real difference in my recovery. That said, there are definitely areas that could be improved. Some RSS staff came across as unfair or disrespectful at times, which can affect the overall environment. I also think the program would benefit from more structured activities—such as outdoor time, movie nights, outside meetings, acupuncture, and music classes—to better support recovery and keep patients engaged. The nighttime snack options were very limited and repetitive (mostly the same few sandwiches), which could easily be improved. In group therapy, it would help if therapists maintained stronger structure and engagement. At times, certain individuals were allowed to dominate sessions, and there were moments where therapists seemed distracted, including being on their phones during group or one-on-one time. Staying fully present is so important in a recovery setting. Overall, there are some really strong aspects here, but with a few improvements, this could be an even more supportive and effective place for recovery.
Very thankful for my time here. Jess and Jenn were fantastic Counselors/Therapists who truly care. Anna is genuine and works hard for her clients to get them set up for success upon leaving. The entire staff cares all… the way up to the top, with Racheal, Mike, Riannan, Lucy, Dr T, and Patty. Their roles in the company do not matter to them they will walk beside you and listen to everything you have to say. The RSS staff is phenomenal, it’s great to see such care and personal touches in the day to day living. Some of my favorites are Halle, Sage, Paul, Jason, Ebony, Arleen…the nurses are full of love and care. Nancy, Margaret, NeKeisha, Loraine, Shane…all top notch and several more joining. The medical providers listen and really work with you finding what is best for you and your situation. Thank you Carolina and MaKeisha for everything. Thank you all for everything! Love Alli

Excellent customer service from their staff and doctors. I highly recommend them. Among the best in the area in terms of service. Blessings!
My experience at RCA was amazing. First of all Jess, the therapist worked with me on issues that allowed me to have a breakthrough in my self awareness and self-esteem. Jenn, the other therapist was also very… compassionate and sensitive to individual issues. The nursing staff were always attentive and willing to listen and ready to help. All the RSS staff were kind and respectful. The kitchen staff were were great and the food was top notch. When it came time for discharge the staff were extremely helpful in making sure I was comfortable with the plan. I am abundantly grateful to RCA for all they have done. You have certainly put me on a new path. Levi T.

Fantastic place!
I’ve been to a lot of treatment centers but this by far was the craziest experience!! They have no tvs but one in the “day room” ya just like jail, they have a coffe pot and no snacks at all and no caffeine in the… coffee after 6pm!! lol oh and they bring a night time snack around just like in juvenile detention!! Treat you just like a kid.. smh! And they have this big beautiful facility but it’s all controlled movements!! I didn’t last 24hrs here! I literally didn’t make it 1hr but they talked me into staying 1 night to give it a try and ya!! No thank you!! They are brand new and honestly dont know what they are doing
